Scales at 170, up .4 from yesterday. We've booked a mini break in around 3 weeks, I'd love to get under 168 by then - I'll use that as a focus, 21 days to make a dint😊 I'm very much looking forward to it, I doubt we'll get the weather but a change of scene will be lovely. Oh and lovely food I'm not cooking to look forward to! I'll definitely need to get the waist band looser for that

Feeling ok ish. Still got symptoms so not doing anything like diet or exercise

Not2bObvious · 21/07/2022 07:58

Doing your normal day to day is enough exertion when recovering.
As long as your not dieting doesn't look like my not dieting (usually 3,500+ cals daily while on holidays) I reckon you'll be fine. Feel betterFlowers

Not the break sounds lovely , l am sure you will get to 168 by then even less l am sure Smile Have a lovely stay with your EP , Mumbob have been tolerable the past few days, l think it's the heat making them more amiable GrinGrinGrin
Life l am so glad you are getting back to normal , take your time it sounds awful Flowers Enjoy your Gousto box too Smile
I have been fine again today , am having a good run atm , if l don't eat junk l am fine but once l start all hell lets loose Grin

Not2bObvious · 21/07/2022 21:41

You sound like you're doing great mrs, long may it last & it rubs off on the rest of us! I avoided wine until after 7, it's impossible to do a visit without it I'm sorry to say. But that's progress, it's normally the minute they come in😂 I've closed the bar now so no excess damage done.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 22/07/2022 06:50

Definitely progress not.
nowt to report here. Still grotty

Not2bObvious · 22/07/2022 07:48

I'm not surprised life, it's not even been a week has it since you came down with it, it takes at least that to turn around. Or it did in my case, another week to regain some energy and now week 3 still coughing a bit & prone to feeling exhausted after not a lot of activity. Hoping you can rest a bit this weekend.
Scales down to 169, average loss only .3 this week so far but I've been putting the work in on the cals/steps so might see a whoosh soon

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 22/07/2022 10:35

It’s a week tomorrow afternoon. Supposed to be going out tomorrow but will have to rain check :(
i know I need to be patient but I’m not and I feel disgusting with my shit diet
but all turn aroundable

Not2bObvious · 22/07/2022 15:24

That's disappointing ☹️ I think we all hoped having plans scuppered cause if covid was over but not to be.
The diet will be waiting for you when you're ready.
Ouf, I'm a bit knackered from running around. Only 8,500 steps but very active so it'll do. Looking forward to steak & chips & wine dinner 😋

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 22/07/2022 16:11

I understand the need for wine with a visit from the EP Not 😌💐169 is excellent well done 👍🤗
Life hopefully you will soon be fully better then like you say nothing is unredeemable 🤗💐
Been shopping, everything is so expensive, it's costing a fortune to eat so perhaps it's time to just stop eating altogether and fast 😱
Have a lovely weekend everyone ☺️

Gensola · 22/07/2022 17:58

Hi all 😄 on way home today, flight is badly delayed so won’t be getting home until the wee small hours but we had the BEST time! Really one of the best holidays of my life. I dread to think what scales will say 😱😱
now on count down to wedding and fitting into the dress of doom 😅
life so sorry you are poorly
mrs you’re not wrong, it was so noticeable in Greece how cheap food was in comparison, even eating out but especially in supermarket, 1 euro for a gorgeous loaf of handmade bread, would be £5 in UK! Petrol very expensive though 2.2 euros.
not steak wine and chips sounds perfect, I had airport pasta and wine 😂

Not2bObvious · 22/07/2022 19:51

Ooh gen, I have a special DH birthday next year so if you could let me know where you'd recommend I'd be soo grateful. Petrol is €2.05 so €2.20'ish isn't that bad IMO, isn't that bonkers😂
NO SCALE FOR 48-72 hours, promise me that! You'll upset yourself unnecessarily, delighted you had fun and you're taking the delays with great aplomb 👍

Pleased you had a good time Gen. Definitely no scales for a few days

ememem84 · 22/07/2022 21:28

This week I have been fairly good food wise. Cut down the snacks in a massive way.

dinner out on weds (wine involved) for ddads birthday. Then on Thursday afternoon tea with dm and dsis (two bottles of Prosecco). Oops.

but it was enjoyable.

today gym - trainer Beasted me. Then relatively healthy protein based lunch (beans on toast) and then chicken potato curry for dinner. Yum.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 23/07/2022 08:25

Good morning everyone 😊
Em happy wedding anniversary to you both have a lovely day 🍾🥂🤗
Gen lovely to see you back and that you both had such a wonderful time. Definitely No SOD for a couple of days sweetheart 😊
Not Life everyone, have a lovely weekend, just off to shop before the crowds ☺️

Not2bObvious · 23/07/2022 09:47

Still waiting for my whoosh, unless a whoosh up counts. Up .6 from yesterday, didn't eat too much but did have a few drinks so that's probably why.
The weathers broke here, rainy & dull, no major plans for the weekend. Not sure when I'll get my walk done

OP posts:
Gensola · 23/07/2022 15:30

Thanks all 😍 it’s nice to be back!
not we hopped over 5 islands and I’ve been to a few others in the past and Paros was head and shoulders my fave. It is easy to get to from Athens by ferry and is the perfect combo of traditional white towns with blue churches and little squares/harbours (Naousa, Lefkes) but also Parikia the capital is slightly bigger and has a lot going on. Loads of beaches all around the island - wild and deserted or busy with organised sun beds and drinks to suit preferences. A couple of good small museums. Nice shops and cafes and lots of nice places to eat. Nice walks if you go not in 34 degree heat. I will be back there for sure.
have made meal plans but totally shattered as every single stage of our journey went wrong - we were held on the plane for 2.5 extra hours so 7 hours in total but 2.5 on runway with no loos or water. I am fuming! My legs have swollen massively as a result of sitting for so long in heat and we were up for 28 hours no sleep so no energy to work out.

Not2bObvious · 24/07/2022 09:46

Sounds fab, I'll definitely make a note of what you said & put it on the wish list for the future. Absolutely no need to exercise after that stressful return journey, you'll need time to let the bloat go.
Last night ate rings around myself for a change, I've a fierce deep rooted greed on weekends. At least Friday wasn't as bad although I did have too much wine. Today will be better. The rest of the week was ok so it might all balance out. Scales flux of 2 pound, hello 171'ish AGAIN 🤦‍♀️

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 25/07/2022 07:09

Ah flux sake

I’ve still not weighed, Over did the weekend and tired and headache again

Gensola · 25/07/2022 07:22

I weighed - 132 so up 4 pounds. Better than I feared. Need to lose those 4 plus ideally a couple more as dress was really tight tbh. Picking it up tomorrow but won’t be trying it on there as I fear the shame of it not fitting in front of the tailor.

Not2bObvious · 25/07/2022 07:59

That is nothing gen, I bet if you try on something close fitting that you wore before you went away, you wouldn't even know you'd had a gain it's that little.
I gained nearly as much over the weekend, up 3.2 on Friday from a carby 2 days. I'm averaging just over 2,000 cals a day with the weekend behaviour. Not helping me lose weight. Sigh

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 25/07/2022 08:35

4 lb is nothing and I still bet some of that is bloat

im not feeling it today at all. I fine I’m super bloated every evening now, fgs

carbs are little buggers

Not2bObvious · 25/07/2022 10:49

Did a deep dive on my calories and average weights since we're nearly out of July. Average cals 2060, scales up 2.3lb on average from the 27th June. So that isn't ideal. I know the TRH ethos would be if you can't stick to x cals, cutting them won't help. Well unless I want to keep gaining I'd best cut them & learn to stick with those numbers. So pushing back to 1800. That's the plan, get the water in, continue with my walking.

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 25/07/2022 21:52

The diet starts Monday enthusiasm lasted well for me today, let's see how the next 6 days go! Did my first weights in over 3 weeks, very low impact to start with. Restarted c25k again at week 1, I think I'd got to week 3 before I got sick so best to start slow. Went fine. Between that and the walk I did, just around 10,000 steps and 1590 cals. Bit peckish now but in bed & kitchen firmly closed.
Anyone else up have an ok diet day?

OP posts:
TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 25/07/2022 22:06

Gen that is excellent only 4lbs 👏👏👏☺️
