would anyone like to join me. I am going to start on Monday.

I am not joining any clubs but will be loosely following WW.

Need to cut out the alcohol, crisps, cheese and chocolate (not totally) .

I would love some company. Will try to log on everyday to keep up with anyone who joins me but I do work full time so please dont be cross if I dont reply quickly!!!

I am really down right now about the way I look and would love to share my joys/lows with others - speak soon x

PMSL you my friend and I have always called it Fat Fighters. And now we go to Fat Fighters.

I have discovered a nice little treat ... mushrooms fried in that cooking spray, with a sprinkle of salt ... 0 points. Yum!

I don't know what i am going to eat today, to be honest. I seem to have lost a bag of salad I bought yesterday, but still have some left, so probably a fishstick salad with baby potatoes for lunch, and chicken, potatoes and veg for tea.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 13/01/2008 12:33

Mine online thing has only allowed me to bank 12 food points since the night before last.

So, I am assuming there is a limit.

Had my usual toast and butter this morning with a thin spread of jam.

My actual weigh in is tonight. I will post results tonight

colditz · 13/01/2008 14:10

Hmm. Fishstick salad didn't happen.

what did happen was that I used that 1cal spray to fry some mushrooms, which I had in a (ww bread) sandwich for my breakfast, then I used the spray to fry an egg, and ate it in a (ww bread) sandwich, and 2 satsumas for my lunch.

Must have a salad for tea ... or some other vegetation. What can I do with 200g of chicken breast?

Eddas · 13/01/2008 20:54

hiya, i'm joing in as of tomorrow. Fruit and fibre at the ready

My first aim is to lose a stone.

Then I need to lose another

CayKon · 13/01/2008 21:09

Hi everyone, reading all your posts is keeping me very motivated, which is great.
I am planning to weigh in with you all tommorrow. Does it matter that I'm not doing WW as most of you seem to be? I am not familiar with that at all. I have done slimming world in the past but this time I am doing cambridge diet, but there are no really active threads for this.

Look forward to weighing in tommorrow, even if I'm not a WW :-(

araucaria · 13/01/2008 21:26

Hi All,
Pretty good weekend, tho' DH has just opened a box of chocolates I had bought as a present for someone - grrr. Of course now they are open I have not managed to resist having some!

Hi Caykon, I am not doing WW - although am in awe of Colditz and VVV who seem to be doing fab on it and have an encyclopedic knowledge about what foods equal which points and others are doing various different diets/excercise etc. My diet could be called the 'Cut out the Crap Snacks and eat Carrots Instead Diet'

UC - sounds like you have a good plan for the day, I too am thinking of Weigh Day tomorrow! Gulp!

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend

VeniVidiVickiQV · 13/01/2008 21:37

eddas

aura - its not encyclopedic (although I am tempted to pretend I am that in to it )

I have an online food diary and I enter what I eat, and it can (sort of) calculate the points from that.

Today I have had ham, cream cheese, salad and beetroot relish sandwich for lunch.

For dinner I have just had salmon and creme fraiche pasta. When it's gone down a bit I will step on the scales

araucaria · 13/01/2008 22:03

VVV - I am ejit, thought there must be a sort of complex formula you all knew!
Good luck with the bathroom scales
Am going to weigh myself first thing tomorrow morning. Will be encouraging DS to fully feed from both sides first.
Every little helps and all that

happymumathome · 13/01/2008 22:17

Hi All I am weighing in tomorrow morning too,
araucaria good tip about the breastfeeding we will be doing that too!
Question...does anyone else get hungry ( or want to eat) about an hour after dinner? I had a very nice prawn stirfry tonight with noodles and was hungry?? shortly after. Managed to resist and just have a cuppa but what is that about????????????
or is it just me??

VeniVidiVickiQV · 13/01/2008 22:19

Right - I've just weighed myself.....

anyone want to have a guess at how much I've lost in my first week?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 13/01/2008 22:20

No, its not just you. I get the same. I delay having a dessert (when I have one) for about half an hour after I've had dinner.

Might be worth getting up and going for a walk after dinner if its a real problem for you?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 14/01/2008 00:14

No-one?

Okay, well it was a 7lb loss in the first week. yay!

araucaria · 14/01/2008 06:05

My God !
VVV - You are now my weightloss guru - Bloody Well Done!

Just weighted in here: - 4 lbs here

Dixichik · 14/01/2008 06:33

weigh in today. Good luck everyone! Will weigh in when I get home from work

PerkinWarbeck · 14/01/2008 07:23

well done VVVQV and araucaria! Araucaria I think we are on the same diet .

Looking forward to hearing how everyone else has done.

I have a modest but none the less pleasing 2lb loss to report - now 12st2 - not bad when all I've really done is replace puds with yoghurts and other snacks with fruit.

Severely challenged at the moment though. DD is teething, and screamed from 2.15pm-6pm without drawing breath, and at regular intervals throughout the night. How I will cope with her grumpiness without Mr. Cadbury I'm not sure.....

Eddas · 14/01/2008 07:55

well done vvq, araucaria and PerkinWarbeck, brilliant losses!

I start my weigh-ins off with 12 stone.(just so it's recorded somewhere)

Off to munch fruit and fibre. Yum

Eddas · 14/01/2008 08:15

why does fruit and fibre take so long to eat it's been 10 mins now

UniversallyChallenged · 14/01/2008 08:17

Wow well done all so far.

Ive lost 2lb like you PW. Am not following WW so that 7lb loss of VVV is making me wonder whether i may try it this week.

Have just celebrated my loss with granary bread and honey - weyhey I know how to live it up

silkcushion · 14/01/2008 08:21

FAb losses - well done.

I have lost nothing but that was too be expected after the cadburys chocloate finger episode and friday night. Friday - DH got stuck in unexpected snow on his way home. Mobile wasn't working so I had no idea where he was. Snow wasn't mentioned on the news so I was worried sick - he was 11 hours late home. And guess what I did? Sat at home with little baby and shovelled food into my face!!!

Was v good yesterday. Today I am dieting properly. Two slices of toast for brekkie with no marge and a smear of honey. Lunch everyday will be assorted salad with a differnt bit of protein.

VVV - how do you get the points calculator thing? Would I need to join ww to acess all that stuff?

PerkinWarbeck · 14/01/2008 08:26

lol at Eddas - eating wholesome cereal is like having two jobs.

silkcushion - I'm another one for comfort eating.

UC - I'm also impressed by this ww business. Does one have to attend a Majorie Dawes meeting, or can one be a covert memeber?

CayKon · 14/01/2008 08:46

Well done everyone you are all doing great.

I cant join in with all the listing of what I eat because I dont have that with my diet, but am seriously considering ww once I have lost the weight as a way of maintaining.

I lost 9 1/4 lbs this week so am pleased, just got to keep my willpower and plod on. Only 42 more to go. lol

loler · 14/01/2008 10:14

Just so I can join in with the results - have lost 4Lb in 5 days. Am quite happy with that as have still managed to have chocolate every night!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 14/01/2008 12:08

ooh excellent results everyone

I dont expect to lose 7lbs every ladies so please dont think that WW is a miracle diet where you can lose a stone a fortnight (I wish)

I was eating VERY badly for the few weeks leading up to the diet so it makes sense that I would make a huge drop the first week, and the sheer volume of food I was consuming has dropped too (I would imagine when I weighed myself I was carrying about 3lb just in my stomach

WW IS good though - very easy to follow. There are two types of plan you can follow too - points and core.

I get my calculations through an online calculator. You have to sign up though. You CAN get one week free though. I was only going to go with the one weeks free trial. This run out yesterday and I have stayed with them (which obv costs money) But I think its worth it.

silkcushion · 14/01/2008 12:18

have joined ww

VeniVidiVickiQV · 14/01/2008 13:05

Have you worked out your points allowance yet?
