I would love some company. Will try to log on everyday to keep up with anyone who joins me but I do work full time so please dont be cross if I dont reply quickly!!!

I am really down right now about the way I look and would love to share my joys/lows with others - speak soon x

I have found a really sweet lowish calorie snack/pudding. Meringue nests are only 52 calories and really yummy....

glitterkitty · 11/01/2008 21:17

VVV- Del Monte Smoothie ice lollies- only 1 and half points and they are lovely and you can make them last ages...

Was just following a rough 'will try and eat less and no choc' kind of diet- and am failing utterly.

This thread has inspired me to dig out my old ww books and i WILL start tommorow.

No sugar jelly is another one I remember, with a bit of fruit in its sort of like a pudding

Sleep deprivation is my enemy- have 8 month old ds who has never slept through- currently waking 3/4 times a night, and I find it hard to get back off to sleep. The only thing that has been keeping me sane is eating crap for comfort...

But I have really had enough of being too fat to fit into my nice clothes. Am still in my maternity jeans fgs!!! And summer is coming and the thought of seeing people in floaty dresses and flip flops while I swelter in some ugly cover up is just so depressing.

I will get this lard off! throws bombay mix in the bin in rage

chocolatespiders · 11/01/2008 21:46

i used to have merengie (sp) nest with fresh fruit and muller yoghurt poured over it - delicious.....

moodlumthehoodlum · 11/01/2008 21:56

Just had a huge plate of risotto with bacon and creme fraiche. That will be no good.

Well done nimnom & Silk cushion for better days all round.

I'm really bad in that once I've had one bad thing, I think I may as well have a thousand other calories (hence the two large glasses of red wine).

Bollocks I'm crap at this weight loss malarky.

colditz · 11/01/2008 22:20

Ok, please don't all shout at me but

Today I have had

50g Special K - 2.5 points

200g potato - 2 points
100g turkey ham - 1.5 points
15g light mayonaise - 1 point

200g chicken breast - 3.5 points
200g potato - 2 points

an apple - 1/2 a point
1 tsp honey - 1/2 a point
1/2 a p[int of skimmed milk (which i always use anyway) - 1 point

Huge amounts of free point veg and salad

And it's only coming to 14.5 points, and I am supposed to have a daily allowance of 22 points. You can only bank 4 points a day and that leaves me with 3.5 points to find before I go to bed. And I'm not hungry, and I am really enjoying being in control of my intake for the first time in my life.

I can't help thinking I have miscalculated, because I weighed everything, but am not hungry.

colditz · 11/01/2008 22:23

I found something point free to pour onto veg too - passata with a stock cube crumbled in. It's yum, actually, and replaces gravy quite nicely!

araucaria · 11/01/2008 22:30

Hi All

Not too bad a day - have been doing quite well by cutting out the crap I used to snack on and trying to eat healthy snacks - DH asked on why we needed 3 bags of carrots in the fridge - I get hungry alot!

I must make the effort to read the Paul Mckenna book soon too - I know what you mean about portion control, Perkin, I love to feel full - properly full - I always eat as if I am having my last meal

UC - I get that too, with the mirror I mean. I have one 'good' mirror - only shows my head and lit from above so hides the chin

Moodlum - hot buttered toast - hmmm think I am having a mini craving now! Am with you on the wine too

Well done Nimnom!

Hang in there Lulu - put this week behind you - next week will be better, how can it not be now you have all of us to cheer you on!

araucaria · 11/01/2008 22:39

Missed the last few posts

Great tips for a sweet treat - ever since I gave up smoking I have wanted something sweet at the end of every meal. Will give the Meringue and lollies a go

Glitterkitty - the sleep deprivation is a killer isnt it? I was snacking on chocolate, puddings, icecream etc to give me quick energy boosts during the day. Hope you get some good nights sleep - just as I type this I can hear DS now awake on the baby monitor - aggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

VeniVidiVickiQV · 12/01/2008 00:44

Colditz - I'm finding exactly the same thing too! I've saved up 12 points so far this week (it wont let me save anymore ). Now I am monitoring it properly and seeing eating as a function i'm not over-eating at all. I'd got into the habit of snacking through boredom. Half the time I didnt realise I was doing it either - it had become so habitual - like smoking.

I had a bit of a sugar craving tonight but had the yoghurt. Just had a cuppa with sweeteners so that's helped too.

The meringue and ice-lolly ideas are good! I have meringue nests in the cupboard!!! (probably ought to check the date first....).

colditz · 12/01/2008 00:58

can you not save any more than 12 then? Ah BOO!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 12/01/2008 01:10

Its averaging over the 5 days on the online doodah.

I've got 5 activity points, and 12 food and wont let me save more than that tonight OR any more than the 4 a day.

So, you may as well spoil yourself

VeniVidiVickiQV · 12/01/2008 11:09

Morning ladies

Had my usual banana, slice of wholemeal toast with a little olive spread and a cup of tea. Which amounts to 3.5 points.

Off out and about to do walking type activities with the DCs.

ITs going to rain tomorrow apparently so we are going to make the most of the gorious sunshine.

Have a nice day folks.

colditz · 12/01/2008 11:26

Morning. I have had a bowl of Special K, as usual. It's just easier than thinking about toast, butter etc, because I love toast, and would gorge on it.

colditz · 12/01/2008 13:14

Just had a tin of mackerel, a crisp bread and a big salad for lunch. 4.5 points.

PerkinWarbeck · 12/01/2008 13:32

Sounds like you've both had a good start to the day, Colditz and VVVQV.

No sugar Alpen for brekkis, but I'm afraid we went to Giraffe for lunch, and somehow an enormous tostada smothered in cheese and lovely buttery scrambled egg got the better of me .

I'll just have to make that my main meal and try to have a light supper.

PerkinWarbeck · 12/01/2008 14:42

I forgot - I have also switched from my usual crusty bloomer to (braces self) sliced bread. I'm not a huge fan, but I have realised that the two doorstep slices of toast I have been lunching on are probably equivalent to about 6 slices of normal bread.

I'll swap back when I'm thin.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 12/01/2008 14:50

Perkin

Well, we didnt do much of the walking activity (unless you count a stroll up the local high street as activity).

Just had lunch - I had a Waitrose voucher so we got some convenience foods...

I had vegetarian sushi and a bag of quavers -7.5 points in total. Then a cereal bar for another 1 point.

12 points left for dinner.

dyzzidi · 12/01/2008 19:06

I'm having a good day.

Toast with spread for brekkie 2 points

Jacket potato with WW beans 4.5 points

Tea (when its ready) Spanish chicken with extra veggies thrown in and brown rice 10 points

I have snacked on Grapes, strawberrys and Cherries.

I'm thinking I might have toast before bed if I am still hungry.

I find it difficult as DH works overseas and its on my and DD aged 2. I have been freezing portions so I only cook once and halve the points and have a meal for next week.

deenymcqueenygoreandguts · 12/01/2008 19:08

please help me.

ive been really really good all day today
BUT

im craving junk.

what do you think of to stop you crumbling??

what can i do???

dyzzidi · 12/01/2008 19:34

Have you got any fruit to have with some yoghurt?

colditz · 12/01/2008 20:41

have a hot chocolate, 1/2 a point?

colditz · 12/01/2008 20:43

I had a WW ready meal for my dinner, with veg in passata and stock cube mix, and some salad.

The WW ready meals are half price in Morrisons ATM

VeniVidiVickiQV · 12/01/2008 21:59

I bought some sainsburys be good to yourself maple bars. They are one point each and good for any sweet/junk craings.

Dinner was lovely! I actually fancied salad

I had a small portion of smoked undyed cod that I got from sainsbury's yesterday. Salad leaves, beetroot, cucumber, pepper, celery, tomato, piquant peppadew peppers (YUM) (all free!) A dollop of coleslaw, some low fat ceasar dressing and some low fat three bean houmous! All of that just 4 points!

So, I had a bit of a treat - a 5.5point flapjack slice from waitrose

I cant bank anymore points this week so I have 2 points to use.......... slice of toast and butter before bed?

colditz · 13/01/2008 09:37

Is there a limit to how many points you can bank in a week?

UniversallyChallenged · 13/01/2008 10:21
