I am not joining any clubs but will be loosely following WW.

Need to cut out the alcohol, crisps, cheese and chocolate (not totally) .

I would love some company. Will try to log on everyday to keep up with anyone who joins me but I do work full time so please dont be cross if I dont reply quickly!!!

I am really down right now about the way I look and would love to share my joys/lows with others - speak soon x

Hi UC

No I don't do ww, never have so dont really understand it.

I follow the cambridge diet. It is a complete food replacement diet. I have too many demons with food and pig out. I started doing this after i had my 2dc and lost 3 1/2 stone to get married. stopped for a while and pretty much maintained. Then started again after christmas to loose the last bit.

I don't do any specific exercise other than looking after 2 dc under 2.

It is a great diet to follow if you are an all or nothing person. I checked with my doctor before i started it and he said it was fine.

You get a combination of 3 shakes or soups a day (1 can be substituted for a bar) you need to drink at least 3 litres of water. You can have black tea and coffee and upto 1 pint of coke zero.

I find it quite easy to follow as i am not thinking about what i have to eat. It takes all the pressure away. But its not everyones cup of tea.

mammyjo · 04/02/2008 12:01

Wow Caykon, size 12! How I would love to get my lardy backside into a pair of size 12 jeans! [wistful emoticon]

UniversallyChallenged · 04/02/2008 12:04

Thanks Caykon - even more respect to you as i know i couldnt follow that diet. But then again......... size 12 jeans ..........

it's a dream UC, a dream, girl!!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/02/2008 13:23

Apologies for my rambling message last night. I'm still muzzy today, as is the way of migraine, but, what I was trying to say last night is that eating loads of food at SIL's and then getting a migraine is sort of good because it will be a good deterrent against future binging

I didnt weigh last night because I went to bed and didnt want to get up again.

Will weigh in later and post results here.

So far today have had a cuppa soup and a slice of bread. I really dont feel up to eating much at all after last night.

Well done everyone else on their losses

mammyjo · 04/02/2008 13:42

I have had one of the weight watchers cheese and onion quiches for lunch and I would say that if you are thinking of buying them, dont bother. Not very nice at all, not particularly tasty and 6.5 points! The only good part about it was that I ate salad alongside for zero points!

silkcushion · 04/02/2008 16:46

Caykon Size 12????!!!!!! Fantastic

UC and miniUC well done girls.

ww question for you - I'm doing a recipe tonight that I found on their site and it says "a serving of pasta" How much is a serving? Cos I'm pretty sure my idea of a serving would be too big

moodlumthehoodlum · 04/02/2008 17:03

I'm back - thanks for everyone's supportive words at the end of last week. Fell off the wagon at the end of the week, negotiating sad dd refusing to go to nursery every day stressed me out and made me just eat. But pleased to report that point counting has gone well today.

WELL DONE EVERYONE - I can't believe how well you are all doing!

Caykon - if I even owned size 12 jeans that I could fit into, I would stop there

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/02/2008 17:08

OOoooh thanks for the warning mammyjo. I'd been pondering them, but hadnt bought them as yet because they are quite expensive for my budget atm.

Weighed myself earlier - only another 1/2lb off in the last week.

12lb off in total since the start. I'll update the list:

VV - 12 - that's brilliant. Two more and da dah daah. That's a whole stone.

colditz · 04/02/2008 17:44

a serving of pasta = 40 dry grams = 2 points

mammyjo · 04/02/2008 20:50

VVV, I got those quiches on a 2 for £2.50 offer but they are definitely not worth £1.25 each. Not nice at all!

Been to WW and have lost 2lb so am really pleased. Said to the leader that I didnt deserve that loss and she told me to be careful this week, as it may well catch up with me when I go to weigh next Monday! Very pleased though as have now lost a total of 13lb.

One more pound and that's a stone, mammyjo!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/02/2008 20:56

Yay mammyjo

Just had pasta and salad for dinner. Dry fried one rasher of streaky bacon, a HUGE mushroom, and chucked in half a jar of BGTY arrabbiata sauce. Cooked 100g (dry weight) pasta.

7.5 in total.

I still have 13 points left so need to start on the fruit I think.

colditz · 04/02/2008 20:58

VVVQV what are you eating (or not eating during the day? I have had 16 pppoints and 2 meals already today!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/02/2008 21:08

I missed breakfast this morning (very sleepy and running late due to migraine after-effects this morning).

Had a BGTY cuppa soup (1 point) and a slice of bread and butter for lunch (1.5 points).

I have a mouth full of ulcers again so fruit a no go all day until I got home to use my special mouth stuff. Ditto snacking.

I've just listed my dinner - the huge bowl of pasta.

I do have points to make up for because of yesterday though, so one day of going well under points is not tragic. I wouldnt normally go any more than 4 points under.

Ags · 04/02/2008 22:41

Well done everyone! Perks, Loler, UC, Caykon, VVV, Mammy Jo. Sorry you are disappointed Eddas and Silk but really great attitudes. Am with Fio by the way on Caykon's size 12 trousers! I think I was a size 12 at 12, 14 at 14, 16 at 16 etc. etc.!!!

I weighed in tonight and lost 5 lbs. Really really excited and more importantly got another sparkly seven on my card! Almost cried except have hideous mother-in-law to come home to which sobered me up considerably! Came home tonight and had massive portion of incredibly fatty lamb casserole and rice followed by cherry pie and ice cream. Feel christmas dinnery full and not enjoying the sensation. Is this for real?! I can't believe I am feeling like this. Long long may it continue and I really appreciate being able to post on here and hear all your wonderfully honest experiences. Thanks.

By the way, welcome to the new comers!

Hi all,
Well done to all those posting weight loss.
I have lost another 2 lbs but have fallen off the wagon badly today (eaten complete rubish and lots and lots of it - oopps ) so am going to have to try hard not to have put back on next week. Don't know why I have a bad time every monday - it feels like I deliberately try to sabotage myself somehow Not sure why.
Hope you feel better VVVQ - migraines are awful, and the mouth ulcers sound a pain - well done on the 12 lbs!
Well done Mammajo!
Moodlum hope things improve for you and DD. Keep at it - it is difficult but worth it!
Caykon - total respect for being able to do the Cambridge diet - size 12 - that is wonderful am very !
UC and mini UC - Well done!
Perkin the food sounds great - hope the weighin went well
Cutekids - welcome! This thread is great and has really helped me - hope it helps you too
Eddas - good luck for next week
Silk - glad you are feeling better - I can really relate to your list - I want to try for another baby as soon as I am at a more healthy weight ( and started AF again) too.
Colditz - hope all is good with you
Ags - Know what you mean about wanting to set a healthy example for my son - I want things like fruit, wholemeal bread and lots of veg to be normal food for our family, and so he thinks they are the normal way to eat IFYSWIM?
Loler and Flo hope things are going well
Sorry to anyone I have missed!

Eddas · 04/02/2008 22:46

wow ags fantasitc I know what you mean about the full feeling. I've come to realise that I don't need to eat the entire plateful just becuase it's a waste. Well it is a waste but I need to learn to put less on the plate

Everyone's doing so well. I'm proud to be on our thread. Even if my loss or lack of loss is the lowest one IYSWIM. Maybe one day i'll be like all of you and lose more

Slowly, slowly catchy monkey

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/02/2008 22:48

Oh well done Ags

Thanks aura.

araucaria · 04/02/2008 22:53
