Need to cut out the alcohol, crisps, cheese and chocolate (not totally) .

I would love some company. Will try to log on everyday to keep up with anyone who joins me but I do work full time so please dont be cross if I dont reply quickly!!!

I am really down right now about the way I look and would love to share my joys/lows with others - speak soon x

Congratulations all the losers - we should have a group target. Could all celebrate with a lo-cal drink (g&t very low!) when we get there.

Can I put my loss on here too?

Hello. Can I join? I've been doing ww since October and I think I've lost about 17lb. I had ds in August and went back to work at the end of November so I had to diet to fit back into my work clothes. I haven't really got a goal weight but I just want to be able to wear a size 12. I'm currently in a 14.

I don't go to any meetings but I went for a year or so before my wedding so I know what to do. I've been struggling recently due to working and looking after dd (2.10) and ds (5.5 mo) in the evening. Dh is really supportive and cooks ww meals for us so it's easy to count the points but he's been working late a lot recently so it's been something and chips far too often. I really need some motivation and tips for healthy snacking.

lulu41 - I work full time too. How many dcs do you have? Do you find the time to fit in exercise? I try to do it at the weekend (as I don't get in til 6pm in the week) but dh always finds something he needs to do which leaves me with the dcs. When ds is asleep I feel it's only fair to spend some quality time with dd as I don't get to see her much in the week.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 05/02/2008 13:16

Welcome Gill.

Well done Fio

I feel like crap again today. Got a lovely cold coming out.

Have had a banana and a handful of grapes for breakfast, and a bgty soup and a slice of bread and butter for lunch.

I just want to go home and curl up in bed but completely not possible.

mammyjo · 05/02/2008 13:51

VVV, sorry to hear you are feeling crap today. I know the feeling, dd has had a cold since last Friday and my throat is very scratchy today, bleurgh.

Well done to all the losers, the losses are absolutely amazing.

Am really trying to count properly again today. I really do not want to start gaining the weight that I have worked so hard to get rid of for the last month.

Made some falafels for lunch today. Recipe was in this months good food magazine. They were quite nice but definitely need more spices so will tweak the recipe next time! Nice filling lunch though with cucumber, cherry tomatoes and a tablespoon of light mayo - yum!

Keep going everyone, this thread is an amazing help to me so thanks to you all

mammyjo · 05/02/2008 13:52

Sorry, I forgot, welcome Gill!

moodlumthehoodlum · 05/02/2008 14:02

Welcome Gill and well done on 17lb loss already - that's brilliant.

Now, it is PANCAKE DAY today. So I am going to be sad and work out a per pancake points allowance (no comments please, I know this is a bit sad of me) and then at least I can have one with the dcs.

moodlumthehoodlum · 05/02/2008 14:18

This is delia's pancake recipe, which makes 12-14 pancakes apparently, and the entire recipe ingredients add up to around 14 points.

So, thin pancakes, might even just be one point?

4oz pl flour/pinch of salt/2 large eggs/200ml milk/2tblsp melted butter (I calculated 5.5 points for the butter which might be a bit OTT)

loler · 05/02/2008 15:00

Hi Gill - [waving a slightly less flabby bingo wing icon]. Didn't realise you had lost so much already. ThaT'S SO opps good!

I've been lazy and bought frozen aunty bessie pancakes. thought they might be better as can be microwaved and not fried. now to resist a banana and chocolate filling!

GillL · 05/02/2008 15:31

Thanks guys. Hi loler

Might have to get dh to make me a very thin pancake tonight. Banana and chocolate sounds very tempting loler. Will try to stick to lemon juice and sweetner - yum

There is a recipe on the WW site for choc and banana pancakes using nutella which is half a point per teaspoon (not much nutella I know but I plan to use 2 or 3 tsp on mine!!). I have deliberately not eaten too many points today so that I can have a choc pancake

VeniVidiVickiQV · 05/02/2008 16:17

oh god i have to make pancakes for the littlies because I promised DD. I dont even want to get out of the chair. And my nose is blocked

At least I have plenty of points for a pancake.......

I have lost another 4lb (so goodness knows what that says about my disasterous day last week)

Am very smug and pleased with self. V.G.

silkcushion · 05/02/2008 16:49

well done on all these fab losses!!

thx for the pancake recipe - will make tomorrow as am playing a badminton match tonight and don't have time to go out and get artificial sweetner

disaster last night - my mum found a delicious recipe for salmon and prawn pasta on the ww site, emailed it to me - both made it last night and it was lovely. BUT i asked her how many points - she didn't know - and when i worked it out it was 15!!! will have to run around on court tonight to work it off.

having a bacon, leek and cheese quiche from ww now - i think they are ok.

silkcushion · 05/02/2008 17:56

on reflection I now agree the quiche is rubbish - had no flavour - not worth 6 precious points - so I only ate half

Now eating a toasted pitta with tbsp of low fat mayo and salad veg - 3.5 pts. saving points for a post badminton crunchie

colditz · 05/02/2008 17:58

How many points in a pitta?

silkcushion · 05/02/2008 17:59

2.5 the site says

VeniVidiVickiQV · 05/02/2008 18:02

oh mine says 2 points for a white pitta.

silkcushion · 05/02/2008 18:07

Just rechecked the site. I clicked on the first one the search found which is medium pitta 2.5, but there are others (tesco etc) which are 2.

Think i'm better off over estimating tbh

Well, DH bought curry for dinner, on the pretext that it would 'clear' my sinuses. It hasnt, and I'm now 11 points over for the day.

Cuppa soup for the rest of the week i think.
