would anyone like to join me. I am going to start on Monday.

I am not joining any clubs but will be loosely following WW.

Need to cut out the alcohol, crisps, cheese and chocolate (not totally) .

I would love some company. Will try to log on everyday to keep up with anyone who joins me but I do work full time so please dont be cross if I dont reply quickly!!!

I am really down right now about the way I look and would love to share my joys/lows with others - speak soon x

Weigh in done. I've lost 1/2 a pound. I didnt expect anything tbh because I have my AF at the moment and am terribly bloated.

Early night for me ladies.

Night all. Good luck with your weigh-ins tomorrow.

x

moodlumthehoodlum · 27/01/2008 22:19

Well done VVQ - 1/2 pound off still good I think.

I haven't been drinking enough water and need to really start tomorrow.

I can't believe peas are expensive points wise. How depressing is that?

I have to have an earlyish night tonight - there is such a strong link to being tired and eating badly for me, and dd comes into our bed at 4.52 every morning, leaving it impossible to sleep from then on, so I am exhausted before the day has even begun!

Night all.

Just tried on a load of trousers that have been sitting in my wardrobe for about 18 months(due to pg and needing to diet) and some don't fit but others do My clothes choice has just about doubled because i've lost 4lbs.

Now I wonder if any more tops will look ok now

loler · 28/01/2008 09:36

I was all prepared to slink away this week but have just weighed and lost 2lb. Just goes to show how much I must have been stuffing in before!

well done loler don't give up you've lost half a stone now which is brilliant

I wonder if I can buck my own little trend and lose 3lbs this week to get to my first half stone Mind you my scales only show every 2lbs so might be a tad difficult to tell

I'm getting a bit ahead of myself atm. Keep thinking if I can lose 2lbs a week I only have 5 more weeks to go til I get to a whole stone lost. That's around the end of Feb, wouldn't that just be fantastic!

Can you tell i am upbeat about the diet again today A combination of a loss, smaller trousers AND dd and ds sleeping for 12 hours

I'll shut up now

silkcushion · 28/01/2008 10:18

Well done all on your losses and the trouser success Eddas.

If we want to talk about how much shite we were eating before then look at my loss ...

...... 6lbs

That's 11lbs total - I am very motivated at the moment. I think exercise is helping. I did 24.5 pts of activity last week (and managed not to eat them all) although I appreciate this is easier for me to do cos I'm on maternity leave at the moment. Will have to keep it up when I return to work!

WOW caykon and sc, brilliant

That's incentive for me to get exercising sc!

VVVQV · 28/01/2008 11:07

Oh wow - fantastic loler, silk and caykon

Have had a slice of bread and butter for breakfast and one of those Annas ginger biscuits. Have no idea on points for them, but figure no more than 1.5. Will look it up when I get home.

I've got my pitta and falafel at work today. I'm not bored of it yet!!!!!! I might have a go at my Claire Sweeney DVD later. Just do 10 minutes or so to get me started.

I'm so pleased with how this is all going!

mammyjo · 28/01/2008 11:50

Well done VVQ, Eddas, SC and Loler. Its fab to read about how well everyone is doing

Colditz, I think you are turning into the recipe guru of the thread! That mash sounds gorgeous. If I hadnt just come back from supermarket shopping I would have got some today to give it a try! Also meant to get falafel as I love them, but they are not the sort of thing I would buy regularly. Love the idea of them in the pitta, had forgotten about it until I read about your lunch VVQ!!

Weigh in for me tonight. Hoping for a good result as I have been really good all week counting every single morsel that has passed my lips. Got AF today, but dont normally have too much of a problem with water retention so fingers crossed!!

No no no!!! No more falafel pittas until I can get some in tescos!!

kyala · 28/01/2008 14:58

Uh hello
I'm in need of some help, I need to lose probably about 5 stone to be my ideal weight and was just wondering if you could give me some advice/help/support!
I'm breast feeding so also need to be aware of whether it's actually safe for me to do this at the same time etc (tbh I know nothing about losing weight whilst bfing and don't know where to start!)

So far I've put on 3 lbs since xmas which is not exactly a good start! but I've totally cut down on everything that is "bad" and am not sure how much mor I can cut down!

Generally speaking I'm eating breakfast, usually corn flakes or similar, nothing until lunch, usually soup and bread or a sandwich and fruit, and then tea time (which is probably my worst time of day because I suddenly get REALLY hungry and end up having pudding too )
So, any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
xxx

VVVQV · 28/01/2008 14:59

It really is, isnt it fio? So filling too.

VVVQV · 28/01/2008 15:01

oh, hello kyala

Most of us are following the WeightWatchers diet (albeit loosely....!)

I think we've all got to lose between 3-5 stone here.

You could start by making a food diary to see what it is you are eating.

Also, make sure you drink LOTS of water.

Eddas · 28/01/2008 15:12

kyala, hiya, please join in, this thread is really helping me

IIRC fiofio is bf'ing too so hope she can help a bit more

kyala - I'm bf too. I'm doing weight watchers. I don't go to a meeting so the weigh in on here really helps. with ww you get more points allowance for bf, 10 if exclusive bf or 5 when weaning. I think it's quite a bit extra, so rather than losing weight through a hard diet it just makes you look at what you're eating to reduce the rubbish and bring in more veg.

I was using bf as an excuse to eat whatever I wanted to, now I stop at 2 biscuits rather than eat the whole packet!

However, DS1 is now on the floor having a major strop for a chocolate biscuit - I feel like joining him!

I agree on the falafel talk ban - I'm shopping tomorrow so it can start again then!

I've been mainly eating soup - have made a points free oven cooked root veg one that is yummy and very filling.

loler · 28/01/2008 16:17

Was also feeding, hence slow typing and X message!

Everyone has done so well - brilliant news. I weigh in on a Wednesday but after eating the fairy cakes dd & ds have just 'made', I don't think its going to be pretty.

Well done everyone.

VVVQV · 28/01/2008 19:19

Got a sainsburys BGTY chicken korma and pilau rice. 6.5 points. I might have a few points left to have some mango chutney with it
