I am not joining any clubs but will be loosely following WW.

Need to cut out the alcohol, crisps, cheese and chocolate (not totally) .

I would love some company. Will try to log on everyday to keep up with anyone who joins me but I do work full time so please dont be cross if I dont reply quickly!!!

I am really down right now about the way I look and would love to share my joys/lows with others - speak soon x

SC - a mooncup is this it's instead of tampons or sanitary towels and its an absolute godsend.

Had a pretty good day - sandwich made by DH of wholegrain bread, rocket, ham, teaspoon of mayonnaise, and bbq chicken pieces (which I removed!!!) which is 4 points in total.

Took DD to a party in a softplay place - had NOTHING to eat there (I like 'naughty' food, but even the food there pushes the realms of edibleness), had a few WW ginger and lemon cookies earlier - 1.5 points, and am about to have ham and cherry tomato BGTY pizza and garlic bread - 11.5 points.

I'm going to have a crack at roast chicken dinner tomorrow.

ANyone know a recipe for slightly more low fat roast potatoes??????

chocolatespiders · 26/01/2008 20:49

could you use the fry light spray on them,, like people do for the chips... have loads of veg to bulk it out

loler · 26/01/2008 21:09

Computer hasd been playing up - been writing messages pressing the post button and then...nothing!

DH been away since tuesday and not back until next week - without the competition with him as to who has lost most weight am falling off the wagon lots. We do love each other but often in weird ways!

To make my day - my microwave has started sparking and smoking, no more easy cook mushrooms for me!

loler · 26/01/2008 21:11

VVVQV - why do mooncups make your AF easier?

VVVQV · 26/01/2008 21:15

No mess, much more comfortable, you dont realise you are on, one off cost, and some women have found that over time it has made their periods lighter, and less painful.

Have a scoot around for threads on mooncups.

loler · 26/01/2008 21:27

Keep thinking I'll give them ago but wondering if I'm becoming too lentil weavery! Definately dont want any more dc so wish the whole AF thing would just go away! Not had one after ds2 yet but I always have to clear the whole house of chocolate - a denfinate once a month flash points ontop of water retention! - oh joy

VVVQV · 26/01/2008 22:00

Oh do give them a go. I dont know of anyone that has bought one, and then stopped using it. Well, unless they have got pg or something

silkcushion · 26/01/2008 22:05

Oh my goodness what an invention! I'm going to get one. Have had 2 periods since having dd (one is now) and I am suddenly finding tampons uncomfortable - don't like to think about what might have happened to my insides during giving birth

Had mil over tonight for a meal with dh, myself and dsd. Just before she arrived dd filled her nappy with poo and blood - sorry if tmi.

Doctors think it's not too serious but it meant yet another evening at out of hours doctors clinic. Food didn't get cooked - so dh had a chinese, mil and dsd had fish and chips and I had .... a yoghurt and some ww biscuits.

Quite pleased I managed to resist the shite. I really didn't fancy eating grease. Also I had a sneaky weigh this morning and think it's looking promising for a 3lb loss - so I don't want to balls it up this late in the week.

VVVQV · 26/01/2008 22:14

blood in poo is usually a sign of food intolerance or allergy - often gluten or cows milk.

Do get a mooncup. It takes a little bit of practice to get it in right and comfortable (took me a couple of days - not long really), but it is fantastic. No fears or worries about leaking at night, swimming etc no problem.

I could never get on with tampons either. They'd either leak, or, they'd be too dry and therefore painful to remove.

colditz · 26/01/2008 22:34

Was that chocolate c ake nice, UC?

mammyjo · 27/01/2008 09:47

Morning all. Hoping everyone has a good day today

Colditz, thanks for the wedges recipe. I have never turned the oven right up before so maybe that is where I have been going wrong, as the wedges always seem to be a bit damp iykwim!

Making roast dinner today with roast potatoes and roast veggies. Lamb with lots of free mint sauce!

colditz · 27/01/2008 17:24

Butternut squash is point free and scrummy - fills the plate well!

Eddas · 27/01/2008 18:51

Am very pleased today as I'M WEARING A SIZE SMALLER JEANS

Have been good today, again. nearly had chocolate last night but dh wouldn't let me but that's good so

AND

it's 6.50 and dd is ASLEEP which hasn't happened this week as she's been a PITA

mammyjo · 27/01/2008 19:11

Yay Eddas That just shows how well you have been doing!

VVVQV · 27/01/2008 19:30

Yay Eddas - well done!

Have had a cleaning day today. Only had a couple of slices of toast and jam. Had a roast chicken dinner and roast potatoes - yay!

Then icecream afterwards

Weigh in tonight...............

colditz · 27/01/2008 20:14

Well done eddas!

I have only had 13.5 points today, but have eaten really well - I have got a "Magic Food Of Gods That Is Low In Points And Tastes Fab" for you though - Morison's Extra Light Soft Cheese with garlic & herbs - you'll find it next to the Philidelphia, and it's 70p for a sizable tub.

25g of this stuff is only 1/2 point, and 25g is enough (with a splash of skimmed milk) to make 300g of potatoes into creamy garlicky mash!

Eddas · 27/01/2008 20:16

Thank you

how's everyone else doing atm?

Weigh in tomorrow morning

I'm having a few sneaky vodka and diet cokes to celebrate my getting back in the old jeans sucess

Eddas · 27/01/2008 20:16

mmmmmmmmmm that sounds nice colditz

colditz · 27/01/2008 20:26

It really was nice, and only 3.5 points for a big mound of mash, with half a roasted butternut squash (free points), 2 Morrisons LF sausages (2.5 points) and loads of broc and carrots (free points), and 1/4 pint of Bisto (1 point - yes I know I could have less but I love it)

It was a big tasty satisfying dinner for 7 points.

Eddas · 27/01/2008 20:31

I always have loads of gravy, YUM I now fancy susage, mash and peas Maybe tomorrow

Need potatoes first.

And maybe some real sausages for dh I have veggie ones and i'll eat those but not sure dh will be so keen

colditz · 27/01/2008 20:32

Don't forget there is a sob - inducing amount of points in peas!

Eddas · 27/01/2008 20:35

true

how about carrots and cabbage then, mmmmmmmmmmm

poo, have to wait til tomorrow's bedtime routine ordeal is over with. I may never get to eat it

colditz · 27/01/2008 20:37

Carrots and cabbage both free (yay! and cabbage is so good this time of year)

Eddas · 27/01/2008 20:39

if you'd have said a few years ago that I would be eating cabbage I would have told you, you were mad. Before I met dh I hardly ate any variety of food at all He has made me eat so much more, hence the diet

colditz · 27/01/2008 20:43

He he he. My diet has always been varied (hence I've always been overweight.)
