would anyone like to join me. I am going to start on Monday.

I am not joining any clubs but will be loosely following WW.

Need to cut out the alcohol, crisps, cheese and chocolate (not totally) .

I would love some company. Will try to log on everyday to keep up with anyone who joins me but I do work full time so please dont be cross if I dont reply quickly!!!

I am really down right now about the way I look and would love to share my joys/lows with others - speak soon x

I'dve said the potatoes might be a factor colditz.

I've avoided them mostly. They bloat me out anyway.

I DO love a good roast potato, and jacket potato, but since both require quite a bit of fat or butter, I'm better not having at all.

What about swapping the chicken for oily fish? Some fats are good at helping the process along, apparently?

I am weighing absolutely everything, every last potato. I only eat 200g a day most days. and I do count everything unless it's in the book as point free

Try rice or pasta more instead of spuds.

and try using up more of your points.

Have a chocolate bar here and there.

Seriously!

colditz · 22/01/2008 17:01

I walk everywhere, and do a fitness dvd about once a week - but nothing else - i've got the points counter set to no exercise.

I only ate 17 points a day most days last week, and never more than 20 so maybe I DO need to eat more.

colditz · 22/01/2008 17:02

I will type out my 'food list' for the day in a minute

lilibet · 22/01/2008 17:19

Colditz - you have lost 6lb in two weeks - that's bloody good!!

silkcushion · 22/01/2008 17:36

Well done everyone for today's losses.

Colditz - I bet yr not eating enough. Too few calories will make yr body store fat cos it's worried it's going to be starved. How many points below yr allowance were you for the week? Also how did that compare to the fabulous week one? Having said all that 6lbs in a fortnight is bloody good going.

VVV - congrats re the trousers. I have had a somewhat less glorious trouser moment today. Realised my jeans (only ones I can still fit into - size 20 from long tall sally) have worn away between my thighs and they really haven't been worn that much. Have a gaping hole with flesh protruding - not a pretty look. Mind you what material could withstand such heavyweight flabby thigh chaffing?

yeah if you look at it like that it is a great loss....

today i have had

breakfast bar at work 1.5

roll for lunch with cheese and salad guessing-5 pt

for tea... 3 linda mc sausages with roasted veg...- 4.5 pt

so 11 points so far....

i am a bit of a one who tends to have low point meals so i can have some snacks when my girls go to bed as that is my worse time of day for eating.... - is that ok

no fruit today so i need to try harder with that i normally have soe at work but to busy today ....

and i have to say the linda mc things were scrummy, normally have the quorn ones but these were halfprice and delicious

silkcushion · 22/01/2008 17:54

lol @ fio

Colditz - you haven't had a single day where you've eaten yr allowance. If you have 4pts left shove a bloody crunchie down yr neck once in a while - you are more likely to keep this going if you eat bad things as well as good.

colditz · 22/01/2008 18:04

But at chocolate I hate it. I am going to have to ration in some toast and butter aren't I.

but I am scared if I eat the full whack, considering I am not losing much on what I'm doing, I will actually gain weight,.

VVVQV · 22/01/2008 18:06

Yes, I agree silk cushion.

(Am quite amused at the insistence of eating chocolate and fat on a diet thread ).

6lbs is good colditz. I know you are disappointed with the 1/2lb today, but, it'll be better next week. I'm sure.

And inbetween times, stick a bit of butter on your toast

one teaspoon is 0.5 a point, and if you get one of the olive/cholesterol reducing spreads - even better

colditz · 22/01/2008 18:11

It is good. 6lb in 2 weeks is BLOODY good. I never thought I would lose that much weight in 2 weeks ... I still wish I had gone to the loo first though

VVVQV · 22/01/2008 18:16

You never know, you may really have lost 2.5lbs

All that roughage you are eating is making your body hang on to it for longer than normal

Ags · 22/01/2008 19:40

LOL at everyone! Colditz, you are doing brilliantly. Definately should have gone to the loo before weigh in, blown your nose, cleaned your ears out and taken off any jewellery!!!! Will take pounds off!!!!

On a more serious note, even though I have been arsing around at dieting forever and did have some success pre dc's births, last night was the first time I actually got some understanding of weight. My leader gave me a can of beans to hold. They weigh a pound. And I was amazed. When we say we only lost a half a pound or a pound, pick up a can of beans or a half can of beans. They are HEAVY. And Colditz, pick up 6 of them. TOGETHER! It is phenomenal to have lost that amount of weight in two weeks. Sorry if you think I've gone mental but it really struck me last night for the first time how much weight those lbs actually translate into.

VVVQV · 22/01/2008 20:56

GLASS OF WATER EVERYONE!

I've just had stir fried prawns with noodles, pepper, onion, garlic, five spice powder and oyster sauce. Absolutely delicious - all for 6 points including a small glass of wine!

I have 7.5 points to eat.

Ags · 22/01/2008 21:06

That sounds yum VVV. Break out the crunchies!

araucaria · 22/01/2008 21:14

Well done Flo, and Mammajo and all else!

Welcome Magsi

LOL ags!! Love the pre weigh in routine.

Keep at it Colditz - well done on your 6 lbs Paul Mckenna is adamant that people who are dieting should only weigh themselves every 2 weeks, I think because daily ups and downs can blur the overall trend and dispirit you.

VVVQ love the recipe, will try that one. Fantastic re the trousers!

I have done really badly today - I don't think it is a coincidence that I have comfort eaten after only having 2 1/2 hrs sleep - tiredness is my achilies heel I have eaten healthily though, just enough to feed a whole family

VVVQV · 22/01/2008 21:33

Just had a BGTY hot cross bun with a thin spread of olive spread and some jam.

I'm shattered. Had crap sleep last night.

Auri, try and get some sleep now. Your body can sometimes confuse tiredness with hunger.

chocolatespiders · 22/01/2008 22:23

just had some nimble bread toasted- yummy

not had enough points today though... but i do find that is the norm when i am dieting, because if i allow myself a bag of crisps or choc bar then i will want another and another so i am best to not have any...
