I would love some company. Will try to log on everyday to keep up with anyone who joins me but I do work full time so please dont be cross if I dont reply quickly!!!

I am really down right now about the way I look and would love to share my joys/lows with others - speak soon x

It's funny you should say that - I have been very hungry today and I am knackered!

Sorry but HUGE no to aqueous cream. Its been proven to make eczma worse in many cases.

Silk - I have some spare tins of soy formula. DD was getting it on prescription but she's stopped having it now. Whereabouts are you?

Mushrooms are nice with lea and perrins and a bit of beef stock or marmite, on toast.

GP told me not to bother with aqueous cream but use vasaline on ds2, didn't like the idea of that so used some bio oil (left over from stretchmark 'prevention') - it worked really well but his was only really mild.

Just had some Jelly Belly (says it all really doesn't it!) jelly beans. Just looked up and points wise don't think it's too bad - Just have to wake up ds tonight and give him an extra feed (BF = easier than exercise!)

happymumathome · 17/01/2008 16:38

loler it seems you and I are both having busy nights with our lo's at the mo, do you think this has got worse since starting the healthy eating? My DS3 was up about 4 times last night and I don't know why

silkcushion · 17/01/2008 17:12

vvv - gloucestershire. thanks for the offer.

i resisted the binge my chocolate hobnob plan worked. the girls ate them and i had some grapes and carrot sticks. although did eat about 10 pringles before they got here - only about 2 pts though. will come in at 1.5 over for the day - if i manage not to go mad tonight. still got points banked for the week

loler · 17/01/2008 17:43

Happy - My DS2 has never been fantastic at night and I'm not being fantastic at getting him out of it (vicious cycle of being to tired to address problem so bring him into our bed so it doesn't improve!) - He does seem on average to be getting worse but might just be that he's getting ready for solids. Manybe I should eat junk for a day and see if things get better (oh - I've done that today will report back tomorrow!). hOW OLD IS YOUR DS? Sorry for caps!

SC - Where in Glos are you? I'm from near Stroud, family all still live there.

And new development on mushroom sandwich eaters anon - Boursin light has about 4.5 points per pot. Spread on Mush sand tastes like a yummy garlic mushroom sand!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 17/01/2008 19:02

Oh you lot have given me a serious craving for mushrooms . I've noted that a little low fat creme fraiche could be used to add creaminess.....

Fio - I hope you dont think I was calling you a liar . It works on those who have more dry eczma I think, and those without lots of allergies.

Ah, Gloucestershire quite far away. It may well cost the same amount to post than to go buy in a shop - and they are £9 a tin down this way (London). I have 4, unopened tins that I am loathe to throw away, and refuse to sell on ebay despite DH's badgering.

UniversallyChallenged · 17/01/2008 20:48

Am in a choccy mood so was comparing the Special K with the Choco Snaps and can you believe the CS are much less fat than the special K and almost exactly the same calories yet !!

Only 3 points a bowl if i have worked it out correctly

silkcushion · 17/01/2008 20:52

Thx for the offer anyway VVV - why not sell them on ebay? They cost the same here - GP says he will give me prescription if needed.

Loler I'm in Gloucester (Hucclecote) - Dh's family all come from Stroud too. I expect we'll be underwater again tomorrow - severe flooding is due!!!

Well I ate a bag of doritos tonight!! another 4pts over. Am planning the menu for tomorrow. Porridge for brekkie as usual, chicken fajitas for dinner - low points as long as I don't have the usual sour cream on them Am meeting my boss to discuss return to work at 11am so will probably have lunch with him could choose a salad I suppose

moodlumthehoodlum · 17/01/2008 21:09

Hi ladies - I have not had a brilliant day, but taken up with idea of sweeties, which we never really have in the house, but figured that fruit gums can't be that high on points. Half jacket potato and pickle with ham for lunch.

Last night though I raided the Christmas Cake tin. I get so much hungrier when I'm tired.

Silk - Sorry to hear about the exczema - its so hard when they are little. I had a nightmare with bad exczema on dd's face, everything everyone prescribed made it worse, but then we found something which is called Magic Cream, and it is exactly that. I probably wouldn't use it on a little one, but it literally had a miracle effect on dd's terribly sore face. I'll dig out the link to it for future.

happymumathome · 17/01/2008 21:58

He is 10 months and sleeping is getting worse at the mo, same as you too tired to get tough!

silkcushion · 18/01/2008 07:35

thx moodlum sorry you 2 are having sleep probs with los

Eddas · 18/01/2008 07:53

hi ladies, have read the posts but brain not working enough to remember much

I went shopping last night and it took all my willpower to resist the cheap christmas chocolates I cheared myself up by getting ds some knew clothes

So, how's everyone doing? The only way I got through yesterday without reaching for chocolate/biscuits/crisps was by focusing on my diner, a roast everytime I felt a hunger pain I focused and had a drink! Am hoping once my stomach shrinks[hopeful] it will get easier[naive]

I had a bit of a bad hour yesterday and ate evertyhting I could lay my hands on

but when i wrote down everything I had eaten in the day it still came to 1592 calories so that wasn't bad.

My worst time is before tea, I am starvign and so I eat

Why can't I just wait?

silkcushion · 18/01/2008 11:47

lili - is there any healthy veggie type snack you could have ready for the late afternoon if you know it's a problem time? carrot sticks got me through yesterday pm. i'm trying to organise 3 meals plus snacks cos i know it'll be the inbetween meals nibbling that will be my downfall otherwise

on the otherhand - why am i giving advice to someone else before i sort my own flippin munching habits out???

VeniVidiVickiQV · 18/01/2008 14:19

Had takeaway pizza again last night. I was laid up with kidney infection and DH just didnt want to cook. Not helpful of him, but, he had been working under floorboards all day repairing an electrical fault that could have sent our house up in flames .

I also had a litre of cranberry juice.

Back on track today though.

Had a low fat lean bacon roll so far. That's it. Still feel a bit crap but on the mend.

silkcushion · 18/01/2008 15:42

Sorry you've been feeling rubbish VVV. Sounds like yr on the mend now though. Very of yr lean bacon roll - sounds yummy.

Chicken fajitas for tea tonight. chkn breast 2.5pts 2 flour tortillas 5pts fajita seasoning mix .5pt onions and peppers 0

Eddas · 18/01/2008 17:04

mmmmmmmmm haven't had fajitas for a long time. They're scrummy

We're having gammon, egg and chips. Not exactly healthy but the gammon was cheap last night when I did my shopping

Am not doing too badly today. Found I was hungry at breakfast time so just had a banana, then for lunch I had a bagget with ham(had fancied one for a few days) and a packet of wotsits although the boots own brand healthy ones. REALLY wanted chocolate afterwards so had an options hot chocolate instead. Think i'll need to avoid crisps because they make me want to eat chocolate!

I have bought some ww choc desserts(frozen ones) and if i stick to the diet until sat night that will be my treat to myself. Only 3 points so not bad. DH keeps saying that you must treat yourself so I think i'll have a sat night ww choc treat each week but only if i've been good

This week seems to have gone on forever and i'm putting that down to my constant food thoughts. Anyone else finding this? Or maybe it's the constant drone of a 3 year old

Eddas · 18/01/2008 17:06

silkcusion, meant to say mushrooms are lovely in fajitas, made some for a veggie friend once and everyone ate them instead of the chicken The mushroom obession continues....................

Eddas · 18/01/2008 17:06

obession or maybe obsession (if that's still not right)
