Isnt WW bread quite expensive?

colditz · 16/01/2008 20:32

85p a loaf.

I know, I know, but I can have 2 rounds for 1 point!

colditz · 16/01/2008 22:54

I have also just discovered that with a sprinkl of oxo stock cube (1 point) and some lea and perrins in with the steaming mushrooms, you get a delicious point free gravy!

lilibet · 16/01/2008 22:56

Would someone be nice please and answer my questions in my post of 13.16?

Pretty please?

colditz · 16/01/2008 23:01

colditz · 16/01/2008 23:05

silkcushion · 17/01/2008 00:15

I don't think they asked me about my level of activity in a normal day.

Day 3 in the weightwatchers household and Silk has not eaten any shite I am under by 5 points and I had a bag of crisps and a glass of wine! Am planning a crunchie for tomorrow though, now I know they're only 3.5 points.

I couldn't finish my lunch. Tuna with light mayo on toast with salad. I've never left food on my plate before. Made chicken stuffed with spinach, ricotta and nutmeg tonight - was delish. Have generally cut out potatoes with evening meal, bulked it out with swede and carrot mash as someone suggested earlier.

Got Lasagne planned for tea tomorrow night - was already cooked and in the freezer - has to be eaten but is loads of points Will nibble rabbit food and a crunchie for the rest of the day. Or might try cup a soup if they are so low in points

lilibet · 17/01/2008 08:41

colditz · 17/01/2008 09:23

from my calculations, Lilibet, you get 20 points per day

You can bank four per day, but you must eat at least 16 i think.

lilibet · 17/01/2008 09:28

Thnak you

And do you get an allowance for steps on a pedometer - I know that you used to for other forms of exercise, but pedometers weren't around when I used to go [old codger emoticon]

Eddas · 17/01/2008 10:03

I'm craving biscuits Bourbons to be precise Luckily there aren't any in the cupboard

colditz · 17/01/2008 10:27

I don't know. Sorry.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 17/01/2008 12:06

I think it calculates exercise/activity points based on the length of time and effort of a set activity. So rather than how many steps a day, its "brisk/gentle/slow walk for 10/20/30/40 etc minutes".

Can someone work out the points of a breadstick please?

per 100g kcals 378, sat fat 0.4g
each breadstick is 20 kcals with trace Sat fat.

Ta!

I've had a pear and a breadstick today. Dont feel much like eating. Have a kidney infection it seems

I'm hungry too, yesterday I had 1647 cals, whcih is slightly over but I was sooo hungry.

I'm due on and I'm blaming it on that

loler · 17/01/2008 13:03

fiofio- they reckon on this sciency type website that you need 7 hours sleep to produce enough of the hormone to stop you feeling hungry. Now, where can I buy that hormone or failing that has anyone got 7 hours sleep they can let me have?!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 17/01/2008 13:11

Yes - its to do with seratonin. (not looked at that link but will do).

It's one of the things I think I have a problem with. I feel hungry a lot of the time. I suffer insomnia (and have had PND) and they all link in with Serotonin uptake. I often feel hungry late at night, and have to go downstairs and eat some cheese (yes, I realise that sounds weird!) in order to get some sleep. Apparently, cheese contains good amounts of the stuff.

I find doing stuff with my hands (to stop me picking/nibbling at food helps). It also takes my mind of it. Which is why i have ended up doing lots of craft-type things. (Card making, jewellery making etc).

silkcushion · 17/01/2008 13:18

In danger of bingeing!!!!

Am stressed and worried. DD is 10 weeks old and has terrible infected eczema that has appeared out of nowhere. She slept v badly last night and seemed to be in pain or itching as was scratching her face. I am tired, worried, upset and ready to stuff myself. Been back to drs today and have now been referred to consultant dermatologist.

I have just rung my nct group and asked them round for coffee at 1.30 - thought I'd be less liekly to fall off the wagon. Have bought choc hobnobs for them (I hate choc hobnobs) which I should be able to resist.

My comfort eating habit is so strong!

LOL Fio....if only it were that simple....eh?

Silk - have you thought that it might be connected with a cows milk protein intolerance?

DD had eczma from birth (turns out she also had a cows milk protein allergy), but because I was b/feeding, she was getting minimal exposure through my milk that was showing up as 'wet' eczma. Unfortunately, I didnt know anything about it at the time.

silkcushion · 17/01/2008 13:30

We've always used non bio. I do plain bath water and have cut down numbers of baths. Gp prescribed a mild hydrocortisone which made it worse. Also oilatum for the bath which made it worse. He's started a course of antibiotics on tues which aren't helping. I've also changed her formula to soy on Tuesday in case of lactose intolerance and made sure she only wears 100% cotton. This skin problem is all really recent (a week or so).

He has given me a different stronger hydrocortisone today - alphaderm and I asked for Aveeno cos someone on another thread recommended it. Neither dh or I have eczema but mil and dh's nephew have and my dad is allergic to everything - guess she was going to be high risk! Dh's other 2 kids were ok though.

Thanks for the advice - all help gratefully received. I now know what it is like to feel worried about yr children (she's my first). I feel really sad and I'm not normally someone who cries I would do anything to make her feel better.
