Thanks for starting the new thread @LargeInCharge and welcome @GlitterBiscuits. I just had roasted gnocchi for dinner. I added cherry tomatoes, courgettes, yellow and red peppers, garlic and oregano. It was lovely. Have a great weekend everyone.

Yourownpersonaljesus · 06/03/2022 19:51

I haven't had the healthiest weekend. Went just over my maintenance calories yesterday but managed to stay under today. I have consumed a lot of chocolate this weekend though. Today's food:
B - Porridge with banana, dates and linseeds
L - a Richmond bacon sandwich and a satsuma.
S - 4 rich tea biscuits.
D - Baked sweet potato with cheese and onion, 2 prunes, some chocolate.
There was a severe lack of veg today - I'll do better tomorrow!

Hello! New to this, and pleased to see there are loads of threads which I can look back through. I need to break my cheese addiction. Is that a common thing for others on here? It’s not eating cheese by itself, but I have it on /with a lot of meals

Leftbutcameback · 07/03/2022 09:09

@Yourownpersonaljesus I love gnocchi - did you pre cook before roasting it?

This is a massive issue for me too (currently tucking into a cheesy beany burrito!). The only way I manage to avoid it in meals is having something Asian inspired. Although I even like feta on curries!
LargeInCharge · 07/03/2022 15:23

Welcome @Leftbutcameback I am partial to some Wensleydale with cranberries so I try not to buy it too often.

I had a ferrero rocher disaster at the weekend coupled with a custard doughnut fiasco but back on track now.

I’ve never tried gnocchi but it sounds lovely @Yourownpersonaljesus

Feta is delicious @spuddy56 I add it to soup too.

Thanks @LargeInCharge - I can't be trusted with ferrero rocher Blush

Duchessfloofy · 07/03/2022 16:38

Following as I need to lose two stone and get bored so easily . I end up hitting the junk food as I run out of things to make. I've been veggie for 20 odd years .

Yourownpersonaljesus · 07/03/2022 19:31

Hi @GlitterBiscuits and @Leftbutcameback - hope you find the thread helpful. I definitely have - I've got lots of ideas but also found the support invaluable when I've been struggling. About the gnocchi - you just pour boiling water over it, leave for one minute then drain before roasting it. I only tried roasted gnocchi recently and I love it. Thinking about it, some feta or goats cheese would be lovely with it! I made a nice salad for lunch today: half a tin of mixed bean salad, some chopped Richmond meat free bacon, cherry plum tomatoes, yellow pepper, frozen chilli and pizza express light dressing. I had a soft brown pitta with it. I'd highly recommend it. Tomorrow I'm having the same but replacing the bacon with feta.

Yourownpersonaljesus · 07/03/2022 19:32

And hi @spuddy56 Grin.

GlitterBiscuits · 08/03/2022 10:04

Can anyone suggest a really filling low calorie and/or low carb lunch?

I will be working from home but don't want to cook lunch and them cook again for dinner.

LargeInCharge · 08/03/2022 10:06

That sounds so delicious @Yourownpersonaljesus

Welcome @Duchessfloofy hopefully this thread (and the old one) will give you some recipe ideas.

I'm lose my body weight more than 30kg in a year. I following strict food diet and doing simple workouts. I also stop to eat junk food items and non-veg food items. This will helps to lose more weight in a year.

LargeInCharge · 11/03/2022 16:13

Congratulations on your loss @jeffersonsam that’s amazing.

I have eaten so much this weekend I actually feel sick. I've had a very stressful week (home related) so that's my excuse. I really need to fight the urge to eat chocolate though or I'll be back to where I was before. I think I need to throw the chocolate out! Hope you have all had a lovely weekend.

Leftbutcameback · 13/03/2022 22:01

So I'm doing better on having less cheese (I seemed to end up with it every meal!) But less so with carbs - I have so little imagination, and also I love bread and potatoes

jeffersonsam · 14/03/2022 06:52

@LargeInCharge

It’s been a few weeks since I last posted. I’ve been continuing with IF apart from 3 or 4 days and I’ve been going over my calorie allowance at least 7- 10 times and I’ve had pizza twice, cakes about three times and Indian food once. Chocolate and one packet of crisps in between.
So I thought urgh I’d better weigh myself and I was expecting it to be around 178lbs due to the over indulging but it was 175lbs, so I’m down .4 pounds since 28th February.
It’s a small loss but….I didn’t gain….and I ate quite a lot on some days.

So my plan is to continue with the IF and stick to my calorie allowance and see what happens.

I’m four pounds away from being a healthy weight, I can’t mess this up like I did late last year.

I hope everyone’s doing well and Happy April!

Hi everyone, I joined last year then went awol as I had COVID and then all sorts of follow up digestive issues afterwards and then got fed up of not eating started eating too many calorific foods again and out on all the weight I lost through being sick.

I’m currently 11st and signed up to thr Body Coach app offer on Sunday.

I have managed two days of his HIIT classes but I signed up on beginner so it’s not overly demanding.

I am also trying to keep my daily steps to 15k and am currently sore and tired.

I have prepared my breakfast and lunch for tomorrow as I’m out of the house. Chocolate protein powder blended with oat milk and a banana with some oats and a tofu stir fry for lunch and another HIIT workout before I leave the house.

I will get some steps in at lunch time and after work on the way home and hopefully do some yoga to relax myself before bed. I just need to decide on dinner and I’m all sorted.

Yourownpersonaljesus · 05/04/2022 07:53

Hi @LargeInCharge. That's great that you're still losing weight - amazing that you're so close to a healthy weight too. Welcome back @Dashel sounds like you've had a tough time but looks like you are getting back on track. I've had a shocking few weeks. I moved house last week (not though choice) so have been very stressed which has resulted in me eating loads of crap and not exercising. I will get back to it.
