Hello,

Sorry to hear you're under the weather mlp and discoverlife, I thought with all this all this healthy eating and excercise malarky, we would all be feeling tip top.

Susie, don't give up, I don't think I have lost anything this week either, we will have to wait until tomorrow, you never know, the flab fairies may pay a visit in the night.

B= Cereal bar, orange juice
S=Rich tea biscuit
L=WM toast x 2 and a banana

Dinner later=Baked potato with baked beans or chilli, haven't decided yet.

Fingers crossed for the Wednesday weigh in's.

pollywobbledoodle · 22/01/2008 20:34

evening all
currantbunmum,like the idea of the flab fairies.....they might have to make lots of trips here to carry it all away!

keep your bugs to yourselves MLP and Discoverlife! (i don't know, these people who come on internet forums when nthey are obviously infectious, putting us all at risk....)...seriously, hope you both feel better soon...weren't you going to sort out childcare tommorrow MLP?

well done on the 5lbs (golden pompom shake to you Bel. Ra!Ra!Ra!)

Glad you ae thru the scan susie....those juices sound delish!

today
brekkie....2 crumpets with marmite
lunch......mackeral salad sarnie.a few crisps
a truffle
eve........pasta with veggie sauce, 2 bits of garlic bread. tsp of parmesan. pineapple. a truffle

feel like i'm eating loads more than the rest of you ...still, it's less than my normal intake!

discoverlife · 22/01/2008 21:09

So a smoothy is just blitzed fruit with a fruit juice base? maybe some ice cubes?
If so I think I am going to empty the fuit bowl, I can't eat much ATM.

katylessbumpy · 22/01/2008 22:12

aaargh dd keeps being sick poor baby

OP posts:
susiecutiemincepies · 22/01/2008 22:33

discoverlife I think a smoothy is actually fruit and yoghurt as a base.... might be wrong though...

katy i've just read what a bad mummy you are! fancy not putting a nappy on your poor little DD... I mean, WHO woiuld do such a thing???

MLP and Discoverlife hope you are feeling a little better?

polly you had a good day today by the looks of it! And I dont think that quantity is much to do with it anyway, its what you are eating thats important. I think that larger portions of the right stuff is a good thing as it boosts metabolism.

So today in total:

Break: Slimfast shake and a fresh juice.
Lunch: Slimfast shake
Dinner: roasted chicken with bulgar wheat, with courgette, chili, garlic, lemon grass and mint. ( delicious)
Snacks: whole grain bar, a few boiled sweets, and a papaya
just had my last juice of the day, a bit experimental...
apple, carrot, celery, clementine, lemon, lemongrass, ginger, mint, papaya. It was SO nice!! the mint was a subtle flavour, but I could taste it, as was the lemongrass. I could taste all of the other flavours the papaya just kind of thickened it really. Have kept some for the morning.

hope all the bugs are wending their ways out of everybodies systems. Poor DD Katy has she had any other symptoms? Its horrible when really LO's are sick, they dont know whats going on.

katylessbumpy · 22/01/2008 22:42

no other symptoms,she was a bit whiney earlier and then just started being sick.she's asleep now on my shoulder
susie,have you forgotten a nappy too?
great menu by the way ,very healthy

OP posts:
susiecutiemincepies · 22/01/2008 23:06

Me? forgotten a nappy??? ahem... never.... ok, ok, yes I did, very very recently. my mum had a field day with that one I can tell you.

Poor little girl of yours

I am hoping I can keep up the healthy menus. I feel posotive about it, so think I will. the juices are really filling, too. I had a tiny dinner really, but felt totally stuffed.

Fingers crossed for the weighing in the morning all those who are... i will, I promise!

I might be going ot visit my big sis tomorrow, if I think i can manage the journey. Hour and half in the car, might not be up to it. She's desperate to see DD, so I might let her go with mum on her own... not too sure about that though...

Dont like the thought of her being that far away from me. dont mind it being all day, but its the distance... am I being daft?

susiecutiemincepies · 22/01/2008 23:21

positive (gawd, my spelling has gone to pot! )

I've a confession to make... i am addicted to tesco fizzy rainbow belts. they are about 300 calories a bag. is that bad? i've not idea about calorie counting... i've always looked at saturated fats etc.... these have none, but lots of sugar.

Although, looking at my day its the only 'bad' sugar i've had. the rest has been in the form of fruit, and veg.

Do you know what girls, I think I CAN actually DO THIS!!!

I've given up smoking too. I had stopped for years, then one weekend, a few months ago, i was so stressed and had such a terrible week, that i ended up smoking again. ( which shocked and surprised me ) I decided to just stop again, last week, which I have done, and not thought twice about it. I think that I might be able to apply the same will power to me losing weight. I will just stop eating chocolate and cakes etc. If I do this, and eat regularly, I reckon i'll be doing ok... overly optimistic do you think girls?

fedda · 22/01/2008 23:24

susiecutiemincepies, brilliant plan! you'll achieve it, go for it! If only I could be strong!

MrsFish · 23/01/2008 06:47

Good luck on the weigh in everyone. I haven't jumped on the scales yet as everyone is still asleep apart from me and ds2 who is just gearing up for a bottle. I'm hoping for another couple of wees before I do

Polly I feel like I am eating more than anyone else too but whilst I am still losing that's good, as there is room for me to be uber good once I reach a plateau

currantbunmum · 23/01/2008 07:59

Only 1lb lost

Off to work, see you later.

katylessbumpy · 23/01/2008 08:42

a pound is great currantbunmum,better off than on

susie i'm really pleased you have decided to give up smoking and well done for keeping strong.i loved smoking,the social side of it,just popping for a fag meant 10 mins peace or achat with a friend,i gave up 4 years ago but started again part time a couple of years later.i gave up for good when i ttc with dd.you can do it.apply the same willpower to your diet and it's easy
mrsfish...weigh,weigh,weigh

i've got ww at 9.30am,not staying for the meeting though as dd looks shocking but at least she has stopped being sick and is drinking water

OP posts:
discoverlife · 23/01/2008 13:15

Stayed the same this week, I blame the celebration meal and the hot honey drinks. Also I havn't really tried this week, slap my wrists girls.

Wonderful honey, A tablespoon in a glass of hot water and sip slowly, it really stopping the cough itch cycle that stops a throat from getting better. (The more you cough the more damage is being done so the more you cough. Works better than strepsils and its psychologically better as a nice hot drink feels so much nicer than a stiff pastille.

belcantavinissima · 23/01/2008 16:28

crikey i have taken a massive tumble from the wagon today- hot cross bun AND 2 ww millionaire shortbread AND a ww toffee choc bar. oh god, am hanging face in shame now

fedda · 23/01/2008 17:41

I put on 1 kg 300 g whatever it means in pounds. As a result, total crap diet today - toffee nut latte, toffee wafles, crackers and cheese. For dinner - minced beed and garlic potatoes bake.

katylessbumpy · 23/01/2008 20:00

fedda,put today behind you and move forward
bel ,what are millionaire shortbread?

currantbunmum · 23/01/2008 20:29

Well done MrsFish and Katyless, fantastic work

B=Cereal bar, orange juice
S=Apple
L=2x WM toast, banana, clementine
S=Options
D=Moroccan spiced soup, and ciabatta
S=Options.

Couldn't be bothered to cook a proper supper as we were up lot's last night with DD2, and are both exhausted and are off to bed now.

Have just heard via DH that there has been research that links MS with aspartane (sweetner). So now I will have to drop everything that contains it as I have a high incidence of MS in both sides of my family.
