my ds1 is 11! you think he would have learnt to stay in bed by now lol.it was dd that woke first at 6am.it's only 5 a side that they go to,it's run by the sports coach from school.i don't stay as its uncool to have your mum there .ds2 plays for a local team on a sdaturday afternoon but his dad takes him.
i've not really got anything planned for today.just wish it would stop blardy raining,i'm convinced it has rained everyday since i started my maternity leave last year,i hope we have a good summer and i can wear my smaller summer clothes [hopeful face]

where abouts in manchester are your family currantbunmum?

OP posts:
currantbunmum · 19/01/2008 08:34

My Dad and his wife live in Flixton, My Mum and her husband are in Poynton in Cheshire. Then others scattered around, here and there, sort of towards Saddleworth.

katylessbumpy · 19/01/2008 08:36

do you get to come up occasionally?i love manchester .

OP posts:
currantbunmum · 19/01/2008 08:42

I haven't been up since last year, they tend to come down to us, then it saves trawling all the necessary bit and pieces for DD's.

katylessbumpy · 19/01/2008 08:47

i must admit i hate dragging my 3 anywhere,i'm really lucky that my family all live locally,my mum lives at the end of my street!

currantbunmum · 19/01/2008 08:52

Am very at having your Mumso close by.

katylessbumpy · 19/01/2008 09:00

it's only been the last few months,we moved from about 5 miles away to here.it's good being so close as she has arthritis of the spine and i can go down and help her out or send ds1 down to keep her company

Good morning all. DS climbed in at an ungodly hour this morning but propmtly went back to sleep and for some weird reason I am sat here with a mild hangover talking to you lot.
But I started the day by sitting outside for 20 minutes sipping my tea and listening to the birds. I think, they think its spring as they are really making a racket first thing. The two squirrels haven't hibernated yet and they seem to be 'frisky' as well. I have got to get a book of British birds as there is a bird that comes to the table that I havn't seen before.

So have a good day ladies.

katylessbumpy · 19/01/2008 10:10

is it not raining where you are discoverlife?

OP posts:
discoverlife · 19/01/2008 10:15

Nope, overcast but nothing falling from the sky's. i had to dry the seat off but it was really peaceful. The birds haven't got into full swing yet as its not load enough to wake you up. A lot of people think its wonderfully 'countryfied' to be woken by birds singing. But not when you have to yell to be heard.

discoverlife · 19/01/2008 10:15

At 5am. 8am is fine but not 5am.

katylessbumpy · 19/01/2008 10:34

i remember when i used to go to bed when the birds woke up.oh for the days lol

i can't remember the last time i chose i good night out over a good nights sleep.I NEED A NIGHT OUT!

OP posts:
katylessbumpy · 19/01/2008 10:42

mind you ,i don't think my party clothes fit me

OP posts:
currantbunmum · 19/01/2008 10:53

You definitely do need a good night out every now and again to recharge your batteries, I had one this week, but that's the 1st since I don't know when.

Try and get your friends together and all bring something along, that way you're not in the kitchen all day, and you don't have all the expense either. That's what we did

currantbunmum · 19/01/2008 10:55

I'm going to be popping on and off today as we are doing a bit of reorganisation, it's not that I'm ignoring you.

Back later, DH is showing DD1 (4) how to use a power drill

katylessbumpy · 19/01/2008 10:59

i have the family round once amonth for drinks and chat but it's not the same as a child free night out.babysitting isn't a problem as my mum will do it but dd is a nightmare with anyone else and will not go to sleep.i'd end up coming home and be up with her half the night.it's just not worth it at the moment
have agood day.i'd better put some clothes away before the house looks like the next sale

B = 2 ww yoghurts, small banana, kiwi fruit - 205 cals
S = 1 choc chip cookie, small (1 bite size)sausage roll, finished off Ds's gingerbread man - 235 cals
T = ww chilli beef crush with 200g oven chips and ketchup = 500 cal
