Hiya lovely girls

SO nice to see you all, took a while to catch up!

I've lost 2lbs!!!! quite pleased with my self
well done all of you!!!! and KATY!!!! ,WOW but bloody brilliant!!!! huge huge pom pom shake with the gold and diamond encrusted special pom poms!!!

My hand is still shockingly bad. can hardly move it. SO swollen. Isobel also has woken every morning, crashing something onto it, or just general bashing in the day.

Kind of postponed her birthday until saturday as Mr C coudlnt be here. He was supposed to be here today. He is still in sunderland, and doesnt think he can even be here on saturday. I'm so upset, and angry. Its not his fault at all, but i just want to ring his boss and shout abuse at him i go between crying about it, wanting him to look after me, wanting to kick him in th nipples, and then missing him... I practically didn't acknowledge her 1 st birthday for him and for no reason now. so p'd off.

anyway, i have eaten a cupple of muffins and not a huge amount else really. really really off my food. combination of nausea with the back pain, and the pain killers make me feel sick too. i did manage a large muffin from millies cookies though with my lovely pals that came round on her b-day. I've one left, which i'm having in a minute, then back to being good, except for b-day cake on saturday. I can't not can I????

this eveing i had a small small bowl of spagetti, with chilli oil and little peeled prawns, so fairly low fat really. it was just enoguh to fill me up, and felt full very fast. SO reckon things going the right way really.

sorry not replying to all of you, just tricky to type ( beleive ot or not!) i've over done it a bit today.

Mrsfish I think it was you that asked what i'd done to my back, sorry if it wasnt! I got a prolapsed disc in the L4-5 vertabrae from a patient falling on me at work 3 years ago. ( just after my hip was replaced ) it heeled eventually after 6 months off work, then when I was 20 weeks pregnant, with DD, i was pushing the drugs trolly round the ward, and it happend again. been on morphine ever since really. had 3 or 4 epidurals and a load of steroid injections into various joints around the area. got some more in feb. bloody depressing at times. Also my DH works away mon-fri so very tricky looking after my gorgeous 1 year old. ( cannot believe it still, that she's 1 whole yer old )

ok, i'll stop now, i promise!!!!

SO SO nice to see you all....

lots of love and hugs all round....

discoverlife · 10/01/2008 22:11

Ds in bed, now I can get online and shoot some baddies. (Im a freak, a woman who plays an online war game). See you all late tomorrow. Be Good.

katylessbumpy · 10/01/2008 22:37

happy birthday to isobel and 2lb is amazing for you given the circumstances
polly ... i chop mushrooms in half, spray with fry light ,sprinkle on dried garlic and bung em in a hot oven for 10 mins.just before they are done i melt a lowfat cheese triangle in the ding ,take the mushrooms out the oven and mix it them together.it is soooo good,so filling and so healthy if i count the points i can have as many mushrooms as i like and add half a point for the cheese ,mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

susiecutie about your back, sounds horrendous, I have been suffering with my neck since just before christmas, been to chiropractors twice now (yesterday inc) and had neck and lower back vertebrae popped back in line, I still had a crap and uncomfortable nights sleep last night.

katylessbumpy · 11/01/2008 14:49

how is everyone doing today?
i'm still feeling positive
we can do this !

I've been to sainsburys and spent a fortune this eating healthily is expensive business

katylessbumpy · 11/01/2008 15:06

keeping on top of all the fresh stuff i'm eating is eating into my pennies.not that i'm complaining.i'm swapping pounds for lbs

discoverlife · 11/01/2008 19:28

Fruit is creaper than sweets for its bulk value.

wooga · 11/01/2008 19:51

The stuff on offer eg bogoff is mainly the nice tempting unhealthy food!

I made the mistake of popping to supermarket hungry(busy morning)-took a lot of willpower to not grab a sausage roll but so glad I didn't.

Susiecutie your back must be unbearable for you.

wooga · 11/01/2008 19:52

and mrsfish - sounds nasty

discoverlife · 11/01/2008 20:38

I have to make a huge sacrifice ladies.
I put a bottle of wine in the freezer to chill about 2 weeks ago and today I found it. The cork has popped, so I am going to have to drink it, as I don't want to waste beautifully chilled wine now, do I?
I'm going in now, wish me luck.

pollywobbledoodle · 11/01/2008 20:39

well ladies i am going to consign today to the dietary rubbish bin....i made the mistake this morning of getting uplate and missing breakfast then goig to a kids party....as hot chocolate (might have) once said..."it started with a crisp"...and i seem to have been hungry and foraging round the cupboards all day....am so , i'm not even writing it down, but i'm stopping now and clawing my way back mon to the wagon tomorrow....

Happy birthday Isobel!
Should your hand still be swollen susie?

hope you have all had a good day.

pollywobbledoodle · 11/01/2008 20:40

am humming the tune from the dambusters for you discoverlife enjoy it...

discoverlife · 11/01/2008 20:51

Damn, that tune is running round and round in my head now I'll never get rid of it. It's going to haunt me in my sleep.

currantbunmum · 11/01/2008 21:10

Phew, finally got back from Waitrose in Cheltenham, only left 3 hours ago, normally takes 20 mins. Unable to get home due to floods (in 2 directions) and blizzards and abondened cars in the other! .

Had both DD's in the car with us they were really good, I just had to keep on foraging for food in the boot, just clementines and bananas! But alas, when we got home I found out that the ice cream had melted! So we all had to eat it It was organic so I suppose it was good for me

So today......

B=Cereal bar, orange juice
L=WM toast x2 and marmite, banana
S=Cappucino
S=Clementines, and icecream
Now=Bacon ciabata sandwich to tired to get anything else.

discoverlife · 11/01/2008 21:22

currentbun you didn't put the icecream on the list.
We had the same trouble come back from North Wales. It started at Chester and didn't ease till Hereford, when I think the weather front moved a bit more eastward to you.

discoverlife · 11/01/2008 21:22

Sorry, can't see past the wine fumes. (ice cream)

Jahan · 11/01/2008 21:25

Hello girls.
Todays food;
gruel - I call it gruel because its so unapetising but really porridge with water.
soup, 4 oatcakes, homemade cheese straw thing
salmon, cous cous, veg
snacks - homemade (by ds1 ) blueberry muffins. Three small ones - oops.

Katy - I lost 2.5lbs in the 2nd week and then 1-2 after that with a couple of 0's but no gains. WW is brilliant as you don't deny yourself anything. Have you seen those pics where they say you can have 'this' (a pic of eg 1 cheeseburger) or 'this' (a pic of eg baked potato, filling, huge salad, fruit, dessert etc) Really makes you think.
Susie
I've spent more money on healthy eating too. It shouldn't really be more expensive. I've always cooked from scratch but I guess I just didn't eat that much fresh veg.
Keep going girls! And a fresh start to those of us who took a break!

katylessbumpy · 11/01/2008 21:51

good evening ladies
thanks for the info jahan,i hope i have aloss again this week.i am sticking to the points so fingers crossed

wooga morrisons have some good deals on healthy stuff if you have one near you,not sur about fruit and veg though.

i used to buy my fresh stuff from a little shop near school but it shut down when he retired,we don't have a local market so i end up going to the supermarket at least 3 times a week to keep the fruit bowl stocked.
pollyand currantbunmum it's only a day.put it behind you a start again tomorrow

discoverlife enjoy the wine ,quite fancy a glass myself but i'm saving my points for tomorrow

breakfast fruit and yoghurt
lunch cheese spread on krisprolls,apple,tangerine
dinner crispy pancakes,ww oven chips and baked beans(lazy)

and more fruit,so all in all a good day

MrsFish · 11/01/2008 23:40

I'm ignoring today... not been too bad in the day but had friends round tonight, an Indian and half a bottle of fizz later... I tried to be good, just didn't happen

Need to up the exercise for the remainder of the week and be ultra good

discoverlife · 12/01/2008 01:33

DS1 only just got home tonight, he had to travel an extra 18 miles to go arounf the floods. Seems to be nothing but floods this last 12 months.
Bottle gone. Very ''Hick'' nice.

mylittlepudding · 12/01/2008 06:51

Also fell off the wagon yesterday. Mine was the opposite cause of Polly's - up really early and just couldn't beat the "I feel rubbish and therefore need to eat" cravings.

Exercise = walked 4 miles in the strong windy rainy nastiness. So may have helped.

Just going to write it off and start better today. Am going to food shop later in an unhungry state - better to have something before going than not and bring home loads of unhealthy stuff.

pollywobbledoodle · 12/01/2008 12:57

hi mylittlepud,
do you need any help climbing back on?
have just been shopping and am surrounded by wholemeal bread/pasta, baking potatoes, veg and low fat cheese etc....didn't buy a single unhealthy bogoff ......

mylittlepudding · 12/01/2008 13:45

Have been shopping - bought only what was in the list. Got some of those krisprolls, they might be good. And plenty of veg, etc, and more types of good cereal.

mylittlepudding · 12/01/2008 13:46

I've just remembered the hot cross buns....
