Discoverlife - OMG. Thats awful. I just don't know what to say. What a horrible experience for your poor ds, and you. I have afriend who HE'd and is really glad she did.
How old is your ds?

pollywobbledoodle · 05/01/2008 00:03

oh, discoverlife my heart goes out to your poor lad...

diet went to pot this eve, friend arrived early and hungry, had soup and crumpets ok but didn't fillme up really.had a chunky monkey ice cream at cinema....not brilliant but not a disaster...stayed to see a second film and bought a big bag of revels...ate them even tho i didn't partic want or enjoy them and now i feel a bit sick! hopefully i'll remember that feeling next time(or should i just brush my teeth?) .....does anyone else have friends who just egg them on to excess? I know i should (and can) have more willpower but tonight it flew out of the window.....maybe it's like giving up alcoholism in that you have to give up your mates who are into bingeing as well

anyway back on the wagon tomorrow

katy, i have actually gone off the cappuccinos for now (hurrah...long may it continue!)

MrsFish · 05/01/2008 07:41

Discoverlife - my heart goes out to you and your son, that is bloody awful I hope you can sort things out, and hopefully over time with the love you can give him your ds will start to get his self confidence back xx

Well I have woken up this morning starving, I'm trying to stave off shoving something in my face by typing on here. Next job is to go and make a bottle for ds and give it to him, so that should take me up to 8am by which time ds1 and dh should be up and we can all have breakfast together

discoverlife · 05/01/2008 10:42

Well the comfort eating kicked in and I ate half a bag of Jelly beans. But the headache has gone and I will be out in the garden with DS a lot today so will be burning those calories off.

katylessbumpy · 05/01/2008 10:57

jelly beans aren't that bad and in the circumstances you are definately allowed.enjoy your time in the garden.roll on summer !

Morning all

I have started well today

1 bowl of Porridge with honey for breakfast/ lunch.

2 satsumas early this morning when up with baby girl.

So, am cooking soup later on with veg and a handful of pearl barley. Should be tasty. Wont bother with stock as it creates its own whilst its cooking.

Tomorrow, I'm going to roast some parsnips, and puree them down with some veg stock and make into a soup. My brother did this for us on christmas day, and it was delicious and totally fat free.

Well done polly on kicking that cappuccino habit. I agree with you on the point of having to drop your pals who binge too.... I"m the worst for being week if being egged on. I'm also the worst at egging on those being good... so norty

discoverlife I am SO sorry to read whats been going on for you recently. It made me feel really quite emotional when I read it, and I just wanted to go to the school and kick the head in the nipples, or let her tyres down or ,worse, for being such a bloody head in the sand. ITs HER bloody job to listen to what you are telling her. I'm horrified, you MUST talk to your LEA about it, dont let thme get away with being so crap. they have really failed you and your DC. I'm just so sorry. I wish i could actually help.

right girls, am going to attempt some washing up. HUGE mountiain sitting there. Not felt well enoguh to do it, and have been on our own since thursday. Was expecting DH home this morning, but he's got his head down doing paper work, so guess he needs to get it done so he can def be home next thursday.

have a good day all

SugarSkyHigh · 05/01/2008 13:03

discoverlife · 05/01/2008 13:41

Thank you all ladies. We will be doing something about our problem, but for now we are taking dowmn the Christmas decorations and filling some potholes in, on the drive. So lots of exercise.

Diet so far today is going really well.
Breakfast :- Fruit n Fibre with skimmed milk and sweetner, 2 glasses orange juice.
Lunch (Burp) :- turkey & branston sandwich, no butter and a bowl of fat free soup.

Dinner could well be turkey sweet n sour with rice. (the others had a bacon sandwich today)
Snacks :-fruit.

fedda · 05/01/2008 14:16

Breakfast 2 apples
Lunch - poridge with honey and grapes, coffee with 2 sugars and a toast no butter with apricot jam sweetened with grape juice
Now - cup of tea with the same jam and pieces of apple
Dinner - will be steak with mushrooms and potaoes, possible also baked beans
Not brilliant but could be worse.

MrsFish · 05/01/2008 14:55

Well I have just finished four hours of ironing that will teach me to leave it so long next time

B = 2 w/m toast and flora light
snack - cup of tea, homemade gingerbread man ( small)
L = 2 w/m tuna with may light
D = smoked salmon, w/m pasta, pesto and philadelphia light with yellow pepper and cherry toms.

SugarSkyHigh · 05/01/2008 15:49

have made the coleslaw ! a big hit... and it has got DD into raw cabbage!

Plus, I also bought some stir fry from Waitrose, Called 'wholesome sprouting stir fry' (consisting of veg & beansprouts with chick peas, green peas and adzuki beans (whatever they are)) which tastes good just raw from the bag mixed with balsamic v. and lemon juice.

Fubsy · 05/01/2008 17:29

Well I have had a crap afternoon, on the phone for ages to my ISP to be told that I wasnt getting the free phone calls that I was paying them for, then spending over an hour composing a letter to their complaints department.

So I forgot to put my nice healthy chicken in the oven, and as its now nearly half past 5, Im not going to bother. I need to get DD into bed at a reasonable time tonight, as she's back at school on Mon!

So its a takeaway tonight, and bread and water for the next few months I think, while I pay for these humungeous bills that have been sprung on me!

Fubsy · 05/01/2008 17:31

BTW, SSH, what did you put in your coleslaw to bind it? Im a mayo addict, so I hardly ever dare to make it myself otherwise half a jar of the stuff goes in! (And I hate the low fat version im afraid.)

katylessbumpy · 05/01/2008 18:03

blardy bills i hate them.i'd be well off if i never paid themenjoy your takeaway, just try and choose a healthier option

breakfast weetabix,banana,skimmed milk
lunch feta cheese salad and a jacket potato
dinner i was starving so had it early..ww chicken curry and a muller yoghurt
snacks 2 tangerines and a pear
got a bag of french fries for later
and still no diet coke

OP posts:
SugarSkyHigh · 05/01/2008 18:28

Fubsy well, nothing really. I suppose it's not really coleslaw in that case, just a v. crunchy salad. Would low fat fromage frais do the trick?

katylessbumpy · 05/01/2008 18:30

i'm starving ,someone give me a pep talk . please

OP posts:
SugarSkyHigh · 05/01/2008 18:30

I have just eaten a mountain of Christmas cake - the only bad thing i've done today. Is it true that fruit cake is the least fattening cake you can get, though? (please say yes someone, and make my day)

SugarSkyHigh · 05/01/2008 18:32

Katy, if you give in you will only be like me in ten mins time, wishing you had never indulged! I don't feel any better for the christmas cake binge.... but before i had it I also felt starving......

katylessbumpy · 05/01/2008 18:33

currantbunmum · 05/01/2008 19:33

Discoverlife I have just read your link and it made me go cold, how can such little shits be allowed to get away with it?
I really do think there are far too many "lily livered liberals" out there who always want to give people the benefit of the doubt, when they don't deserve it.
At least now your son has opened up to you, he can see that you are there to protect him, and he doesn't need to protect you from what has been happening to him,

Big hugs, and lots of calorie free jellybeans.
