Have a great trip gen, you'll be grand after a decent sleep.
Thanks mrs, I'm very hopeful it melts off. I do think some of its last nights chinese as I was in the 168's Thursday afternoon so I'd assumed I'd have seen 167 on Friday if I had stayed home - and if I stayed home there'd have been no Chinese last night or no hangover, but if that was the case I would have missed the brilliant night with my bestie. Taking no great heed or stress from the numbers which is good, previous years I've been distraught.

Reset day. Depending on where the scales are 138 or 141. I’ve womaned up and tracked 141.
Starting on 141 and 1800. Will work out macros next

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/01/2022 09:15

I’m thinking of taking inspiration from happier and signing up for a coaching program

Not2bObvious · 02/01/2022 10:15

Down to 168.6 from yesterday's 170.
Any thoughts on what coaching you might go for life?
I've redone my notepad with the next 7 weeks listed out day by day, starting my calorie allowance on a Saturday. I've set it at 2,000 to ease my way out of the gluttony of the last week. I've only had a week off dieting since the 22nd August so I'm not feeling in too bad a space. Average weight is up 3lb, even if scales weight is now 6.2 up from lowest weight of 162.4 - chippity time!

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/01/2022 11:21

Dunno not. Will see how far i get on my own

Not2bObvious · 02/01/2022 11:38

You know what to do, at least you're not in the dark about nutrition. You have the knowledge and tools (still have access to the gym yeah?)
As they say it is simple, it's just not easy. I'm feeling guilt because I just don't want to do my walk today before I collect my family company. I had a shit nights sleep & don't fancy being blown around the roads for 45 mins. Tomorrow I'll do double😉

I finished the choc Ice cream after dinner. It’s gone now

Not2bObvious · 02/01/2022 21:14

Hope you enjoyed the icecream - I don't want to be controversial but I thought about having salad with my fried chicken, what does that say to my girls? Mum can't eat chips like us, n'ah you're a grown woman, you pull back when you can. It's yougy

We have arrived and airbnb is gorgeous. Cooked dinner in the apartment to save ££ - DH did Swedish meatballs with ratatouille and rye bread. We had alcohol free wheat beer as we are trying to do dry Jan.
We also got stuff in for breakfast, I got a protein vanilla Swedish yoghurt and nice coffee and DH got a massive cinnamon loaf 😂😂
I got calories and macros through from my PT - what do people think of them? I’m a bit horrified and worried I’ll be starving (I think I’ve said on here before I’ve got a fear of hunger from childhood :( … )
Cals: 1450
Protein - 110g
Fat 55g
Carbs 140g

I’m only 5 foot 2 so I think that’s why, in her example of calories she used a 5 foot 7 woman weighing 10 kilos more than me and their calories were 1700 or something.

Mrsmadevans · 02/01/2022 21:52

Gen isn't that a lot of fat lovely? Also the cals seem low to me. I don't know , what does everyone ese think? I am so pleased your Air BNB is lovely Smile have a great time sweetie Smile

Not2bObvious · 03/01/2022 08:23

I don't think the fat is particularly high, it's around 30%. Calories are quite low, looks like she's aiming to get closer to 2lb off a week. Of course when you drop the alcohol that cuts calories over the week if you think about it. It's ok cals if you're not using any of it for junk, you can eat a decent amount of nutritionally dense food for 1450. Approach with an open mind, your past is not your present. Or nod along and increase calories to a reasonable level.
Up a bit to 169.4, salty food and lots of water to try avoid a hangover. Not entirely successful but not feeling too bad. Might go for a seaside walk later

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 03/01/2022 08:33

So I’m 141lb and 5 foot 4 (near enough) at moderty active mine are 1553 with 90 odd g of protein.
I think portion is you weight in kg x1.5

So no for fat loss these calories look about right as I know you are already lighter than me.

What I would wonder if how she worked out your activity level as that might give you a few more.

I know in struggle on too low as well especially doing weights and have started on 1800 with a view to drop to 1600,

Is your pt proposition this for 2 weeks to see how you go. If not I would suggest that then you can review.

And enjoy your break

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/01/2022 08:34

My scales this morning read 137.3 so a bit of. Bloat off and the bloody floor. I’m taking the weight on that square and being consistent from there

Not2bObvious · 03/01/2022 08:50

Goes to show how much can be bloat getting over 3lb gone overnight, you must have been pleased to see that life
Just had pesto egg on toast, still hungry so might have a little something else 🤔

OP posts:
Gensola · 03/01/2022 08:59

Thanks mrs and life yes I think she does offer a personalised approach and she’s also sent through a list of foods which are low cals but fill you up so I can full my plate with those and not feel as deprived. It feels so unfair some people can lose on 2000 cals lol!
Why did I have to be a short arse.
She asked how many workouts I wanted to do a week and recommended 4, but I’m quite active anyway outside that as I teach on an open campus and standing up so I get 10-15000 steps a day without trying, maybe she can throw me an extra 100 cals 😂
I will combine this with TRE as I find that really helps me, if I just delay breakfast til 10 or 11, I then find I feel satisfied with my meals in my eating window whereas if I restrict in a longer window of day 7am-10pm I feel hungrier and angrier 😂🤣

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/01/2022 10:23

I can’t eat earlier as it makes me hungry for the day too.
Care to share the food list? I could do with inspo. Ok if not too.
I suspect it’s scale placement on different flooring but I will take the win.
Aerobics done and walk with doggo later.
Need to rip the plaster and do pump.

Not2bObvious · 03/01/2022 10:35

I'm dreading the doms when I start weights again, it's been over 2 weeks and I'd say it'll be Thursday by the time I get peace to do a session - so closer to 3 weeks. Might buy some Epsom salts for a bath, worth a try.

OP posts:
northender · 03/01/2022 10:45

Happy new year all! I haven't dared go on the scales yet as it's been such a crap festive season here. Being ill didn't really affect my appetite but I've been completely inactive for nearly 2 weeks now, initially because of the hip pain I had and then just sheer exhaustion. I've been out of the house once for a walk with dh and am going to try doing that again today. I'm also going to up my fluid intake today, small steps.
Have a lovely time Gen

Not2bObvious · 03/01/2022 12:37

Sorry you were poorly north. Bizarrely my hip is less achy since I fell but I'm sure the pain will be back when I start jogging/weights again.
Out for my walk, stopped for a calorific coffee, but no cake sadly

OP posts:
Gensola · 03/01/2022 18:20

So she says it’s very hard to overeat the following foods which she basically says I can eat as much as I want of:

Egg white
White fish
Rice cake with fish and veg
Salad leaves of any kind
Green leafy veg of any kind but mentioned spinach and kale especially
Apples
Clementines
Melon
Strawberry
Blackberry
Cauliflower rice
Cauliflower mash
Pickles
Mushrooms
Greek yoghurt
Homemade veg soup - she suggested making a veg soup with carrot, onions, celery, kale, tin of tomatoes, garlic and herbs and having it if I get starving.

I think it goes without saying this is basically raw/no oil/no sugar etc 😄

Mrsmadevans · 03/01/2022 18:51

Sounds as if she knows what she is on about then Gen Smile
l didn't think l could look another cauli in the face after trying cauli rice , l just hated it although l love roast cauli Smile
Although l think l could overeat Greek yogurt and strawberries lol
That bloat loss is such a boost LIfe so pleased for you Smile
Not well done on no cake you did brilliantly! Glad your hip is less painfull too Flowers
Will be a few days yet before l am back on the IF l think but not too long l hope , fingers crossed Smile
Have a lovely evening everyone Smile
North hope your hip pain is getting better Flowers
