Have eaten for Wales today and we are having an Indian takeaway tonight for tea but it is instead of having a takeaway tomorrow because Dd2 is off to Cardiff for NYE , she is staying there until she is negative for Covid after testing on Monday. I have told her straight if she gets it then she is staying in Cardiff until she tests negative. She has tickets with table service, so at least she isn't in with loads of people but l am not holding my breath , l think it will be a miracle if she doesn't get it tbh Hmm
I hope your appt went really quickly & you are fine afterwards Not Flowers

Ooh I want the book. May get on kindle for taking away with me. My DM gave us the money for accommodation and said she insists we go as we have had such a shit year, it was so kind of her.

mrs I am well jeal of your Indian 😁 we haven’t had a good one since we moved house over a year ago, we have tried two places in the new town but both were greasy and not great. I’ve heard there are two or three amazing ones in Oxford, so I might try there as it’s v close to us although not where I live.
Hopefully your DD will be ok. DH and I are going out with a friend but we have just had covid so we aren’t too worried 😃

not EP visit - this is the one good thing about MIL being 92, she doesn’t even want to visit, we have to go to her. My DH is 20 years older than me, and actually is around the same age as my not at all EPs 😄😄😄

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/12/2021 18:59

Sounds great gen. I gave up on Indian takeaway and get Spicery stuff now. As others wilL tell you I evangalie about them. Fab customer service too

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/12/2021 20:07

Happierwithouthim · 31/12/2021 08:25

Not2bObvious · 31/12/2021 10:30

I did the visiting this time, no overnights this week. Yeah grand - good to check all is ok after being away for the few nights, I do worry about EP.
Booster went grand, in/out. Dead arm today, had drinks with friends so that is overriding any side effects I'd say. I never bloody learn. Thankfully no way to weigh this morning, but going by yesterday's afternoon weigh in & chances that eating isn't going to be very controlled for the next couple of days it's going to be 5-6lb on. Oh well, easy on/horribly hard to get off😂

Fresh start 199.7lbs this morning

Not2bObvious · 01/01/2022 09:05

I'll join you in the fresh start happier. You pretty much maintained didn't you? That bloody brilliant. I'm an even 170 - up 7.2 from last Saturday. Quite the achievement if I do say so 😉
Might do a fresh start in Happy Scale, set my first goal as 165. 5lbs at a time from here on.
Hope we all had a great new year? I was in bed asleep by 9pm, felt very achey from shot (and Thursday drinks) Feel miles better today

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/01/2022 09:33

We stayed up and had pizza and mock tails. No weight for me. Reset day is tomorrow

Still under 200 happier
Pleased you feel better today

Happierwithouthim · 01/01/2022 10:14

Yep life I'm a lb lighter than before Christmas. But other than the night I'd panto here I didn't scoff mindlessly, half a glass of wine here and there and mostly only two meals each day.

Not I've pretty much maintained this weight since my holidays in August.

I made a massive investment in my health last night €997 for 3 months online coaching.

I'd chips and spice bag chicken strips for last nights dinner because I didn't feel able to drive for a takeaway pizza which is what I wanted and didn't fancy a wrap pizza 🍕

Yesterday's food
Scrambled egg & wholegrain toast at 9:15am
Wispa at 6pm
Above mentioned dinner at 10pm after procrastinating & trying to bring down my temp, booster absolutely floored me on Thurs night up to last night, I'm ok now though

Not2bObvious · 01/01/2022 11:12

You've done very very well happier especially considering what you've been through these last couple of months. No one would have blamed you if you'd fell face first into all the food.
You do right to leave the scales life, mine wasn't helped by a v salty Chinese. And of course my inflammation from my booster (haha, that's being a chancer!) Showered & fed, had a lovely mini grill in bed, around 330 cals. Going to make light bites dinner tonight, Asian inspired. Might have a glass or 2 of champagne since I didn't have any over Christmas- it's v low cal you know😉

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 01/01/2022 13:32

Food doesn't have the same appeal anymore, I found that when Nan died I didn't use it as an excuse then either. I've enough to lose the weight I have without gaining more.

Photos not attaching but I made these Greek Yogurt waffles mine will be slightly different cals because I used regular milk but 0% fat Greek yogurt & recipe made 4 in my machine.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/01/2022 13:45

Decent breakfast and bag of quavers so far. Forest walk and 9k steps but also god for the soul,
Great news on the coaching happier. Stress and grief take people one way or the other imo ~ face first or lost appetite.

Happierwithouthim · 01/01/2022 14:23

Well I'm not fading away either life I just stopped tracking that's all

Not2bObvious · 01/01/2022 14:43

Got my walk done, lovely mild day here albeit a bit windy.
Waffles sound lovely, for lunch I had a really nice grilled sambo with chicken/mozzarella & pesto. No point in breaking out the lettuce leaves just yet. Have a takeaway lunch & drinks with family tomorrow. Then that's it, Christmas madness done. Monday back on track despite it being a BH

Mrsmadevans · 01/01/2022 14:47

Happier that's excellent work well done hope you feel better very soon from your jab 💐👍
I think you are doing the right thing investing in your health it's so important for us 😌
Life your forest walk sounds lovely 😊
Not half of that will drop off in the first couple of days no worries💐

Gensola · 01/01/2022 16:21

Happy new year everyone! I have a stinking hangover 😵 we are due to fly out on our scandi trip tomorrow so early night is in order. Diet will have to wait until after that 😄
