You are right gen
Hope today goes well

Gensola · 08/02/2022 14:44

All done - about to drive him home! All went really well except that there is permanent damage to his testes where they took sperm for IVF which we were not informed about so I’ll be complaining to clinic about that

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/02/2022 14:57

Oh no. Does that mean he can still produce?

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/02/2022 18:01

Sorry I realise that was quite intrusive and no need to reply
Hope you are home safe and resting

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/02/2022 18:02

Had a chat with the coaches today and reset my goal and motivation. I feel worse eating shite so it is going to stop
162 left today but will have some toast later

Gensola · 08/02/2022 18:24

Haha life no worries 😆 no secrets on here - DH says nothing is sacred lol! Yes it just means there’s a hole in there so some sperm will leak out the wrong way, but as long as some decent sperm makes it out we should be ok! The op was really straightforward and the surgeon was otherwise very positive.
I want wine today but have resisted buying any. Will have some at weekend when DH can drink with me.
Lovely friend made me a massive baked potato mrs - I always think of you now 😅

Not2bObvious · 08/02/2022 19:01

So glad it all went well - damaged testes did sound a bit scary! More for him than us granted😉
Great to hear your widowed friend met someone, it's such a sad thing to lose your partner I think.
Another low cal day due to general busyness, got a kind of crummy dumbbell workout done due to technology issues. But it was better than nothing, and a quick walk & 30 mins treadmill walk/jog. Had a packet of crisps after dinner & I see a few biccies with tea in my future. I've no headspace for "healthy" snacks.

What are the coaches like life? Any good? Can't be worse than TRH lot, trust the process and all that shite. Still watch the walkie talkies from time to time, the early morning person and that someone gained 20lb in 6 months apparently on maintenance. Can you imagine R hearing that? I can't even fathom how they thought this was working

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 08/02/2022 20:08

Wow gained on maintenance
The coaches are good at suggesting stuff but it’s only if you reach out to ask
Pleased it went well gen and the issue is not so bad

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/02/2022 20:10

Smashed my protein nearly double today. Fibre coming up.

A medicore workout is better than non not

Not2bObvious · 08/02/2022 20:56

Yep and kept saying they couldn't be gaining fat as they were eating maintenance cals. It was like watching a car crash over the course of 6 months. Penny has dropped at least. I'd be furious at myself & them.
Ah yeah, better than nowt, got a bit warm so I guess there was some effort

Mrsmadevans · 08/02/2022 21:48

So glad everything went well Gen ❤️👍👏👏👏
No baked pots here for a while now lol DH has toothache 😱
Happier great loss well done!
Not can't blame you re the no mood for healthy snacks but you sound as if you are doing great 🙂
Life that sucks but l think it's quite common iirc when l went to Sw many moons ago !
Have been awful today
Scoffed cheese on toast and rhubarb crumble and squirty cream 😱

Not2bObvious · 08/02/2022 21:56

Rhubarb crumble & cream....oh my I have a new want! Cheese on toast too, mrs I think you just described a perfect comfort food meal & not at all awful, awfully delicious if anything

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 08/02/2022 22:00

It was delicious Not 😋😱
l figure. You are off it then do it with style! 🤣🤣🤣

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/02/2022 07:18

Ooo. Cheese on toast.
I’m up today by 2 but putting it down
To a fibre increase

Wow just wow I would be furious too. It won’t be there fault tho obvs

Not2bObvious · 09/02/2022 08:31

Up .8 today so you're in good company happier. I think it was advice that suited and was blindly followed despite clear indication that no it wasn't muscle, no it's not fluid (that was the other constant obsession, water and water consumption), couldn't possible be fat. Ehhh. Anyway, we'll see if they're a bit more curious going forward. Or should I say I will😂 My curiosity has been piqued!
No time to eat before leaving this morning, it's going to be a busy day ahead but will be having lunch out so that's something to look forward to.

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 09/02/2022 08:32

Oops sorry happier, I meant life - I'm not making you gain weight, I'm not TRH😂

OP posts:
Gensola · 09/02/2022 09:51

mrs I made DH rhubarb crumble last night - it is his fave!
God I hate teaching online 😿

Happierwithouthim · 09/02/2022 10:00

Not that's ok, I've usually been gaining Grin
Awaiting my feedback from this weeks check in, I didn't tell about the second pizza & chips Blush

Did a roast chicken dinner last night

Wouldn't you realise that you were gaining gaining gaining?

Not2bObvious · 09/02/2022 13:24

Yes you would think alright but the level of brainwash is strong with that one. If you were eating 2700 a day and the scales was creeping up wouldn't you question it? Of course I'm 3 years listening to this and they spent most of that not losing, only lost when they went down in calories and stuck to it. The mind boggles. I honestly feel very sorry for them, if they ever come out of the blind unquestioning mindset they are seriously going to struggle with the realisation of the what they've been stuck in.

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 09/02/2022 15:56

Must be honest they don't sound all that good a service tbh Not Hmm
All too often we have blindly followed advice from others and look where it has got us . Don't eat butter , eat butter, don't eat carbs , eat carbs, eat fat ,don't eat fat the list is endless!
Gen ahhh your Dh loved his rhubarb crumble l bet Smile
Hope he is feeling very much better today and not in too much pain Smile
Life one word Laxido should be renamed as Laxipooh to be honest Grin
TMI methinks Grin
Happier pizza & chips yummy Grin l wouldn't have told them either Grin
Alright here food wise today, thank God hope you have a good day everyone Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/02/2022 18:24

I will have to have that laxative I think
It’s just bonkers the way it goes sometimes.
I wouldn’t have fessed up either happier

Happierwithouthim · 09/02/2022 20:08

If I'd gained I'd probably have fessed up alright. I've all week to be getting rid of it now.

My check in feedback was really positive, it probably wouldn't have been if I'd told the truth Grin

2700 cals nice if it worked Smile

Crumble sounds fabulous
How did driving go gen?

Not2bObvious · 10/02/2022 07:38

Down .2 today but because up a pound on last Thursday due to no reduction on the 165/166'ish number since last Saturday. I wouldn't be winning any slimmer of the week awards that's for sure. Yesterday's food that was a bit more carby than recent diet might be masking a huge loss...ha'fecking'ha.
Maybe tomorrow

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 10/02/2022 08:56

Not those scales are funny things, and Carby dinners send them into overdrive
I forgot to weigh yesterday Hmmgenuinely forgot Grin and weighed this morn 197.1 from 193.3 on tues! But I did have protein shake tues night to try fill my belly and it doesn't really agree with me.

Main thing from my check in this week was to meal prep for 3/4 days at a time. I suppose it means you won't stray from it then
