Don't mind a half pound happier, by the sounds of it it's truly just a bit of bloat/waste. I hope you're ok, you've done so well not to go to food for comfort - proud of you. I've made the GP appointment so here's hoping it's not the battle I've imagined. After my last visit being told to go low fat as I'm overweight, I'm not feeling very well disposed to them. Obviously I am overweight but the advice and the tone just raised my hackles. I'm not seeing that doctor at least.
Jog & bodypump done, didn't eat until lunchtime and didn't go mad over the afternoon so looking forward to dinner. Happy Friday all!

Mrsmadevans · 21/01/2022 20:50

Gen they were very nice but l am getting fed up with them now tbh 🤣
It's not fair on you to give you 3 more students , l get your annoyance but it seems the same everywhere you go 🙄
Nice for you to have a meal cooked by your friend even if you did go over your Cal's , nevermind you are doing brilliantly 🤗👏
Not l am so pleased for you that you made the appt, l have everything crossed for a good outcome for you . I am sure they will help you out 💐
Happier that's excellent re not comfort eating this week, it's so difficult to keep off it when You feel meh 💐
Life you sound in a good place well done 👍✅🤗
Been ok had boiled ham , kale and potatoes , very nice after all the baked pots 🤣

Gensola · 21/01/2022 21:30

We had the rest of the cauliflower rice “paella” it is really tasty and filling. I did a big side of buttered spinach.
happier Fulfill Protein bars are really good - the chocolate brownie ones almost taste like a chocolate bar and they’ve 20g protein. They are £££ in shops but tesco has them on offer this week here and you can often get it cheaper on Amazon too.
I found the protein powder bloated me for 4-6 days then it passed and I had a big loss on weigh day. It definitely made me constipated too. Sorry for TMI 😬
not I hope GP visit goes ok. I remember standing on scales for one when I went for my first fertility appointment and he was so scathing about my weight which was about 150 pounds, he said well you need to lose 20 pounds as a start. I felt humiliated.

mrs force him onto some other food 😂

I just did our meal plan - we are having haggis tomorrow! Having a friend over for lunch on Sunday, luckily he’s on a health drive too so I’m making us all a baked salmon fillet with a salad of grilled asparagus, blood orange, walnut and rocket.

Not2bObvious · 21/01/2022 21:45

I would bloody love to be 150, I'd have wanted to head butt him! They have some bloody neck being so judgy- there's a way of doing things without shaming people

Up out and early for a walk, bloody chilly & damp out, can't get the heat into me since. Have the hobbies taxi'ing and shopping to do before brunch around 12. That makes 2 days of holding off food until lunch. Which might help me from taking in too many cals. Listened to a couple of chapters of the obesity code while out, hard not to feel a bit hopeless at this stage, I sincerely hopes it turns a corner & tells me how to shift this 2 stone!

not I think the message of Jason Fung and Andrew Jenkinson et al is that you can lose weight but that it’s more complex than calories in cals out and they think that you have to re-train your body by eating non processed foods etc, and it takes time to reset the set point weight so they say patience and doing it in stages is helpful. Don’t despair!
I got up at 630 to mark exams as my masters essay is due on Monday, all my exams are due then too and I have marking and prep for the week also. No way I can get it all done but I’m hoping to get the exams done today and the essay tomorrow then prep as I go this week, I hate doing it but it can be done in a pinch!
I’m 137 today! So chuffed - hoping to be 136 by my weigh in 😄 on Wednesday

Not2bObvious · 22/01/2022 13:07

Haven't got to that stage yet but I can see the logic, hurrah for 137! That's my dream goal weight, enjoy it for me😉

No exercise today t just taken the dog for a long walk, done the supermarket too but that never tracks 8700 steps

Mrsmadevans · 22/01/2022 15:40

Jason Fung is brilliant he makes such sense of everything .
I followed him to lose the 12 stone 2013 and l have put about 5 stone of it back on but l do control myself and trynot to binge like l used to .

Mrsmadevans · 22/01/2022 16:03

Have a lovely day everyone 😊
Bloody jacket potato again tonight 😱😱😱🤣🤣🤣

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/01/2022 16:30

Bah. Chicken was off so takeaway for tonight. I didn’t meet my goal of 3 days on plan. Lucky not too far over as hardly eaten today,
Unless I watch them eat Chinese and do a baked potato or something

Gensola · 22/01/2022 17:19

mrs ok it’s time to stage an intervention 😂 your DH is the first ever baked potato addict I have come across. It’s looking serious 🤣

Mrsmadevans · 22/01/2022 18:05

life are you joining the baked potato addiction? 😱
Gen it's not good is it and now life has caught the baked potato bug 🤣🤣

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/01/2022 18:34

No mrs . I resisted the draw of baked potato and had Chinese

Mrsmadevans · 22/01/2022 18:38

Excellent well done Life resistance is futile here l am afraid lol Grin
Gensola · 22/01/2022 19:13

This is making me want a baked potato again 🤣 DH is making haggis with a root veg mash instead of potato, he’s doing parsnip, carrot and swede. Plus greens. I am very much looking forward to it!
Have agreed to take some students on a trip, 6 days in March in their hols, it’s a case of bread and cheese for lunch and students and staff take turns to make food for dinner so I think I might have to take quite a lot of my own food as I don’t really fancy the students’ idea of cooking - pasta and sauce every night, probably!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/01/2022 19:35

I hear baked potatoes are easy to do in bulk….

Mrsmadevans · 22/01/2022 19:55

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/01/2022 07:40

That is an amazing loss mrs eve with the regain that’s fab

Chinese spike this morning . Lots of water today and a class

Not2bObvious · 23/01/2022 10:17

Is that where you starting the fasting side of things mrs? Will start listening to more of it tomorrow, family outing with lunch today. Scales same as yesterday so I've lost .1 of a pound off my average weight. 165.4 today, my lowest this round of dieting is 165. I'll be seeing a bloat tomorrow no doubt.
Love the Chinese, hate the bloat, hopefully it goes by tomorrow life. Plenty of water today will help for sure. Enjoy your class. I had been trying to do a 4th workout but just haven't managed it. After the awful fatigue last Thursday I'm not going to overdo it. Walking around the city today will be enough exercise

I toyed with weights today but I want to knaw my arm off today. Making Cookies to use up baking stuff is not helping
