Yep, you do get sick of being sick, it'll pass but its fair enough to be in a grumpThanks Take it easy once on the antibiotics, your body might be telling you to slow down

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 13/01/2022 20:37

You are of course right

Mrsmadevans · 13/01/2022 21:40

Not2bObvious · 13/01/2022 22:26

The good, in my experience at least, is you can get a massive improvement the first full day of antibiotics. So maybe by tomorrow evening you'll feel much better 🤞
Hoping for a decent sleep, tired now

Sorry forget to say Hello mrs, hope you get a lovely rest after a days hard work no doubt, hope you're fueling yourself enough - how's the blood pressure btw?

life fingers crossed you’re feeling better today. Can you just sleep in and take it easy?
For some reason despite eating loads of veg and drinking more water than usual I’m constipated on my new diet!! I’m thinking it’s because I’ve doubled my protein but maybe I’m wrong. Argh.
It’s not helping me track my weight loss that’s for sure!!
mrs hope you have a less busy day today

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/01/2022 07:02

Hope they start to work too. Felt really lightheaded last night so went to bed early.
No fitness today but will take doggo on a long walk

Not2bObvious · 14/01/2022 08:00

Are you on a heavy dose life? I had some spacey times on high doses for strep. If you think of it maybe get some actimel - I really believe they help protect your system while Anti-b's work their magic.
I'm the same gen with the bunged up, I'm trying to avoid using stuff to help as I think my body is getting too lazy and I need to get back into some sort of rhythm. Would a strong coffee (or 3) help? Sometimes works for me, not as much as I'd like of course!
Holding off for lunchtime to eat today, work & workout planned for this morning. Then weigh in & shower & lunch. Fun times 😉

It’s probably the increase in fibre adjustment. Just think of the whoosh when it quite literally passes
Yes 500mg x 3 a day

Not2bObvious · 14/01/2022 13:08

No wonder you were woozy, hopefully they help soon.
Workout done, few more bits of work before I get to shower & weigh. Hitting 16 hours food free, and not feeling too bad tbh. Busyness is my friend as always!

Happy scales believes I've lost 1.2 in 7 days so at last my stats are coming back around. Was down .8 on yesterday. It's progress 👍

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/01/2022 07:18

I think the antibiotics are working as I feel better.
Still going to rest until Monday
Actually I have an long walk planned tomorrow

Forgive me I went to the Aldi chocolate aisle yesterday

Not2bObvious · 15/01/2022 07:53

Glad you're feeling better life, as long as you're able for the walk it'll do you good. Not like you have to power walk I'm sure.
I'm confused, if ones goes to Aldi does one not always partake of the choccie aisle ?
Asking for a friend...who will be in Aldi perusing all the snacks later.
Holding off scales and eating until after morning work. Don't normally eat until 12'ish on Saturday so nothing new here. Ended yesterday on 1700 which is higher than I'd like due to, ahem, chocolate but better than a normal Friday. The work to reduce processed high sugar limps on! Out for dinner tonight with bestie, can't wait

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/01/2022 09:20

There are times in Aldi when I endeavour to resist. I’m clearly delusional with illness

Mrsmadevans · 15/01/2022 17:38

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/01/2022 18:04

Have a good time with your bestie not

Gensola · 15/01/2022 20:13

We are having a roasted cauliflower, tofu and spinach curry. It is actually quite tasty as the tofu is crispy. We are having our neighbours over for coffee and cake so I’ve baked a polenta and lemon cake and made some cookies too. Cals today 1,150 as banking some for cake tomorrow.
Have some smoked trout which was yellow stickered for lunch tomorrow, with eggs and watercress.
STS today, 63.6kg/140.2 - hoping I might break into the 62s tomorrow/130s but cake is not going to help that is it. Sigh!

Not2bObvious · 15/01/2022 20:23

Thanks guys, having a great night, ate well. Enjoying drinks drinks, chat and just lovely company💕

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 16/01/2022 08:53

Sounds lovely not
Must try tofu gen. Need lots of iron rich foods for dd

Cancelled my walk today as raining and It’s just not fun

Gensola · 16/01/2022 09:45

How are you feeling life are the anti biotics working now?
Hope you had a great time, not

mrs I was very sick with my tummy in 2013 when I had a botched appendectomy done on New Year’s Eve by a surgeon who wasn’t a specialist and had a LOT of laxido before I was put right, I can’t stand even the smell of it now or the look of the orange packets 😂
STS again, listened to a super interesting podcast on why it’s so hard to lose fat, with a doctor who has been researching this. Made me feel better about struggling.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/01/2022 10:12

Yes they are, I’m feeling much better. As the gp said my immune system needed a helping hand to get me right again. Long may it continue

Happierwithouthim · 16/01/2022 21:26

Aldi chocolate aisle has been erased from my mind, please do not speak of this fabulous place again.
Today's Aldi purchases included Gold Standard Double Chocolate Protein Powder, with veggies, berries & meat Hmm

Gensola · 16/01/2022 21:59

happier sounds a lot like my shopping lists these days!
We had turkey meatballs with root veg mash and greens today, 45g protein and 450 cals a plate. Yum!
I also made a venison and mushroom lasagne for tomorrow - it’s all made up in the tray and just needs to be popped in oven, 460 cals and 39g protein per slice.
Spent a large part of today marking exams. Very depressing as it’s my own students and they seem to have absorbed little of what I was attempting to teach them Grin
