Sparkler · 24/11/2007 20:49

Had to start a new thread peeps as the old one was too long to accept any new messages. How's it going?
I'm sad to say after my positive note on starting the previous thread, I'm having a terrible time of things. I've really slipped. So, I need you to all shout at me and get me back on track. I don't mind what you say or how you say it. I can handle it.

Green Day Breakfast
Fresh fruit salad
Natural LF yogurt

Lunch (at Witherspoons pub)
Fuisili pasta with tomato & basil.
(I'm hoping this would have been very low syn)
Diet coke

Dinner
Boiled rice
Asda Smartprice Vegetable curry 1.5 syns
Mullerlight

Healthy A's
Milk for drinks

Still have two HB's left.

missiesparkles · 04/12/2007 22:23

despite having drunk 2 bottles of rose wine, untold shots + god knows how many liquer chocs on sat, I STILL managed to lose 2lbs

... I think my speed food experiment was a success!!

Sparkler · 04/12/2007 22:32

Christie sounds like you are doing fab. Not too bad here either. Did end up going out last night though for MIL's birthday and we went for a carvery. I tried to be good ish although did have a couple of tiny roast potatoes and a treacle sponge with custard pudding. I had my whole syn allowance available as I'd eaten free foods all day. Had a really good day today and have also been to keep fit for an hour tonight.

Well done missiesparkles . BTW I keep thinking you are me!!!!

Sparkler · 04/12/2007 22:34

Oh! and another thing. Does anyone notice when you stick to the SW plan 100% how much it's plays havoc with your bladder and bowels ?? I certainly do. I get quite bloated on days and also most of this week I just can't seem to stop peeing. I get up at least twice in the night to wee - it's like being pregnant again! And NO before you say it - I'm not!!

missiesparkles · 04/12/2007 22:46

sparkler - whenever I read this board on my mobile I get rather confused myself LOL + yes, this diet has played utter havoc on my bowels + I pee loads too!!

hansnava · 05/12/2007 00:36

hi

can ne one tell me password for this week please

MerryChristiemas · 05/12/2007 06:23

Can anyone tell me why, when I've been really good this week . . . . .
did I get on the scales this morning and find I'm TWO POUNDS HEAVIER than I was at the weekend ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Completely gutted emoticon needed

kid · 05/12/2007 07:55

Thats why should try not to weigh yourself in between weigh ins. I always weigh inbetween, its a bad idea as you end up feeling gutted like you are feeing now. But, stick with it 100% and hopefully by your next weigh in, you will be on track.

lurcherlass · 05/12/2007 09:27

JamesAndTheGiantBanana- Well done for your half stone. That must have given you a huge boost in your first week. I know it seems like you still have a long way to go, but do you know what I would do if this were me? I would divide the weight that I want to lose into half stones, so that'd be say, 23 segments. I'd buy myself a lovely bracelet and every time I lost a half stone segment, I'd treat myslef to a charm to hang on it. They could be relevant to your progress, for example if your loss has been helped by exercise, I'd buy a little running shoe to add to my bracelet. You can get pretty glass beads to add, which aren't expensive.Go on- spoil yourself

Chloe55 · 05/12/2007 09:55

Well done on the weight losses!

Try not to get too disheartened by the gain, could it be fluid retention or something?

The password is skating.

No food in the house til tonight and absolutely skint so managed to find a weightwatchers toffee yoghurt at the back of the fridge which is just in date - had that for breakfast and I am bloody starving! Can't wait to get to work so I can borrow some money and get my lunch! Are those yoghurts free or syn'd?

Misdee · 05/12/2007 10:17

i gained 0.5lb. not really surprised or worried as have been living on toast.

wont be weighing in next week as have to takle dh to the hospital for biopsy, so i am setting a 2 weeks target of losing 3.5lb to take me to my 1st stone.

lurcherlass · 05/12/2007 11:55

Chloe, if it was a fat free WW yoghurt, it is free. I had a Weight Watchers Toffee & Chocolate Dessert, (twin pack, frozen). It was 9 syns, but it was the tastiest diet pud I've ever eaten. Not sure whether I wouldn't have been just as happy with 9 syns worth a choccie

lurcherlass · 05/12/2007 11:57

Thanks for the password, nothing like the-end-of-the-month to give the diet a boost

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 05/12/2007 12:42

Sparkler- the reason why it plays havoc with your bladder and bowels is because the fat has to come out somewhere!! eww! but it's a good thing.

Lurcherlass- thanks, and that's a lovely idea! I never wear bracelets at the moment because I think they make my arms look even stubbier, but I spose all that will change with time...

lurcherlass · 05/12/2007 13:05

Yes, it will and you will have a lovely slender wrist to show it off on!

Joby1970 · 05/12/2007 13:31

LURCHERLASS - thats is a great idea. You should write into the magazine with that one.

BTW - re peeing. I have to get up twice in the night & have done since I was in my early twenties! And I'm not pregnant. I thought it was normal!

Lizzylou · 05/12/2007 15:23

Hi all.

Well done on all the losses and hope you feel better Misdee.

Have been very bad all weekend, I think it's the cold weather (?!!?).

Lurcherlass, that is such a good idea about the bracelet.

Have been living on soups and have a quorn bolognaise coking away for tea so am hoping to be good up until christmas so I can have a day (or two!) off. Am down at my Mom's for the week before though and she always has nice food (and wine!) so will have to go steady!

lurcherlass · 05/12/2007 15:34

Yeh, Joby, I might do that! I told DH I might take a new lover for every half stone that I lost. hee hee.. but you know what husbands are like, he hardly looked up from the TV, but just mumbled "yes dear"... well, I tried to warn him hee hee

Chloe55 · 05/12/2007 16:49

Am I being thick? I don't get the Body Magic thing or the tracker for it. How does it work - do you get awards for activity or is it just a personal thing for yourself - can you earn syns on SW like you can earn points in WW?

I did 60mins in the gym today - 30mins was intense and 30mins moderate - what do I need to track and what have I done in the way of units - whats all the silver and gold thing?

Misdee · 05/12/2007 18:04

do u have a FIT log sheet? fill it in weekly qith your exercise activities each week. whether its planned/unplanned and hand them in to your leader. after 4 weerks you get a bronze award, then work up to platinum.

Chloe55 · 06/12/2007 09:33

Yeah I do, ah right thanks.

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 06/12/2007 09:44

right i am getting back on track today. breastfast

2xwolemeal toast
1quorn sauage
1 cauldron sausage (1syn)
baked beans

total 1syn + 1 HeB

merryCHRISTIEmas · 06/12/2007 21:27

Not a very good day today. I was out at a local Open Farm with the Nursery Class from my school. Lunch was "picking" at all sorts whilst feeding one of the children.

Tomorrow is my "Occasional Day" and I have to do some serious Christmas Shopping. I'm likely to be in town most of the day and will have to buy lunch out. Can anyone suggest the least synful thing I can buy. I usually have fruit & yogurt for breakfast so could go original or green for lunch.

kid · 06/12/2007 21:29

I'm still sticking to it quite well, I am now up to day 11 and still coping with watching what I eat. I have been allowing myself some chocolates but am keeping within my sins allowance.

I am meant to be going out for a meal at the weekend, to an indian restaurant. What on earth can I do to ensure I don't put on any weight? I am happy to eat the most boring dish on the menu if it means I can still lose some weight.
