Sparkler · 24/11/2007 20:49

Had to start a new thread peeps as the old one was too long to accept any new messages. How's it going?
I'm sad to say after my positive note on starting the previous thread, I'm having a terrible time of things. I've really slipped. So, I need you to all shout at me and get me back on track. I don't mind what you say or how you say it. I can handle it.

Well done for that 1LB Boho, your baby will probably be about 12lb when it's born, that'll make your eyes water
Do you have the password please?

Sparkler · 28/12/2007 11:58

password is TURKEY

I weighed in today (3 days early!) and have gained 3lb over Christmas. I am now going to see how much I can lose by official weigh in day, then I can be all proud and say I didn't put anything on! LOL

(I am also scaringly close to going up to the next stone )

lurcherlass · 28/12/2007 13:42

Thanks Sparkler!

kid · 28/12/2007 13:57

Thanks sparkler,
but the one thing I needed was the sins online which is shut until the 2nd Jan
Nevermind, I'll just avoid all the chocolate that is still here.
But, just incase I get desperate, is it 2 sins per celebration/quality street?

lurcherlass · 28/12/2007 13:57

BTW, who was it who suggested using oat milk for SW rice pud? I couldnt find it on the syn counter page of the website. Is it the same as semi skimmed milk? I've been using soya milk to make my rice pud, but I'm sure someone said oat milk makes it more creamy?

lurcherlass · 28/12/2007 13:59

Kid, you can still look syns up on the website. I am presuming the syns on line facility is a phone-in service? I saw that message and was a bit panicky, but I've been looking stuff up all over Crimbo.

kid · 28/12/2007 14:01

I completly ignored SW over Christmas, I thought it would be okay and that I would be able to get back to it without any problems.
I am finding it very hard today though and its only day 1. There is just too many goodies left here to eat. I don't want to throw it away as thats cruel to the others that are allowed to eat it!
Maybe I should just put it all in one cupboard and then not go near that cupboard myself. I wonder if it will all fit though!

boHOHOhemianbint · 28/12/2007 17:29

That phone line's a right rip off!

I'm staying off the wagon and rolling around in the mud until Jan 2nd. I'll only disappoint myself otherwise.

Hello Ladies that are members of SW

Do you know that as SW are bringing in new plan books, are they changing the plan at all?

The new book, has the red and green days separated, so the book has 2 fronts, if that makes sence?

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 28/12/2007 17:46

i have just used the sysns onluine section ok.

weight watchers dessert whip is 2syns yum yum

divvy, nothi8ng has been said about the plan changing, just a new book which is easier to work with than the current one.

Divvy · 28/12/2007 17:52

Okies, thank you

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 28/12/2007 18:03

scrap that yum yum after the dessert whip comment.

its gross. so artificial tasting. far too heavey on the ol' sweetners, and has left a 'gakky' feeling in my throat.

bleugh.

andyrobo237 · 28/12/2007 20:04

We were told that the new book is like an older book about 6 or 7 years ago - if you are doing an original day you use the book one way up and all the plan and syns are listed together, then to do a green ay you just flip the book over. The plan has not changed, but they have put the mix 2 max and sucess express in a separate booklet. We were told we could buy the new book in mid Jan for £1.50 if we wanted to, but nothing has changed to the plan - it only has the updated health extras in it.

I am strugglling to get back on track this week - not getting weighed until Wed, but dont want to gain! A maintain would be fine - got another course of antibiotics for my sore ear - but been eating chocs!

kid · 28/12/2007 20:13

I wonder if anyone that attends the meetings would be kind enough to pick me up a copy of the new book?
The book I have been using is about 9 years old! I could send a cheque or paypal the money for the book and postage. Or could collect if local to me.

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 28/12/2007 20:38

sorry kid, i cant as we are only allowed one book each.

cherryredretrochick · 28/12/2007 20:39

Just thought I would pop on and say hi and happy xmas to all. Hope you all behaved (but not too much) over the festivities. I did as I was in hosp having my breast reduction which went really well and I am recovering nicely at home now. As well as the obvious loss I have also not had much appetite so i am quite looking forward to when I can make it back to group. My new boobs are fab.

lurcherlass · 28/12/2007 20:58

Hello Cherry, so glad you are enjoying your new smaller lady-bumps! They will be a fabulous motivation for you I'm sure, when you start shopping for strappy tops and skimpy vests!
I just had a prawn on puree, chicken tandoori, pilau rice and sag aloo. Worth every syn, without a doubt. I'm quite happy to knuckle down, as of tomorrow, having enjoyed my curry-fest

Thats okay FairyTaleOfNewYork, if you don't ask you don't get

As DH pointed out to me, I might as well enjoy the food we have left in the house and start SW again after the new year. Otherwise I will be torturing myself and going without over New Years Eve. It didn't take much to convince me!

I won't feel so bad getting rid of any goodies we have left then.

Divvy · 29/12/2007 12:33

Thanks for that info andyro.

I wonder if they have the weight record in separate book like they did years ago also?

cherryredretrochick · 29/12/2007 17:22

Wow on the 70yr old uncle, now that is worth celebrating. We have just had some friends round so managed to get rid of most of the goodies my mum baked for me to help me feel better . I can't wait to go shopping, in a couple of weeks when I am on my feet again my mum and I are going to hit the sales for a new dress. I am still being good, got a proper craving for ff noodles so finding it really easy at the moment.

Sparkler · 29/12/2007 17:25

Still being naughty - just had KFC .
I went shopping today and have bought some new clothes in the sales. I have bought them a size smaller in the hope that they will motivate me even more.

cherryredretrochick · 29/12/2007 17:29
