Have a drink of water or a brew not
123 calories left but 14g protein short. Didn't track milk properly today thought. 10900 steps. Ok for day 1 of lent, 45 to go as not going to have Sunday off I don't think but we'll see

Not2bObvious · 17/02/2021 20:11

Left 130 behind here. I never knew about the Sunday off thing, it was never mentioned here! I also never knew Lent ended on Easter Thursday - just learnt that yesterday.
Just over 10,000 steps done

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 17/02/2021 20:14

I mean Holy Thursday. Should at least try get the days right!

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 17/02/2021 20:38

Not everyone does the Sunday off. Never did when I was little. Yes ends for good Friday but not really as it's a day of mourning anyway.

Mrsmadevans · 17/02/2021 22:47

Omg Gen hope you are feeling ok now 💐
Another one here who hates mcD
It's horrible 😱
Happier those cards sound brilliant and really suggest you are a great match !
Have been quite Meh today. Scoff scoff scoff 😱🙄

Gensola · 18/02/2021 06:35

Sunday off was definitely never a thing in Catholic NI Grin I learned about it when I came here for uni.
I didn’t touch my marking backlog yesterday so I really need to get on it today. It builds up so quickly!

Not2bObvious · 18/02/2021 07:41

It absolutely wasn't a thing in the catholic south either - probably scared we wouldn't suffer enough if we had Sunday off! And I can't believe I did those extra days after Holy Thursday😩
Lying in bed contemplating whether I will go to my office or can it wait. Must get up and face the naughty/sad step

Morning everyone 😀
Am trying to get my IF going again today starvation mode 🤣
Will be going through withdrawal l expect 🙄 hey ho have bought some cheap n cheerful clothes from George to cheer me up, their control leggings are amazing 😁
Better shift to MumBobs will have to behave myself today handcuffs and gaffer tape anyone? 🤣

Not2bObvious · 18/02/2021 08:05

There's so many ways you can IF mrs, plenty of other options if the longer fast is proving too tricky. No need to make life any harder. You've lost me on the handcuffs & gaffer tape but I am intrigued (and a little scared haha)
Down 1lb, looked like it was 1.8 but I knew that wasn't likely so repositioned/reweighed a couple more times and 1lb was the final answer. I'm happy with that, 1.4 down on last Thursday. Average is still up but it's early days for being a bit better behaved, it'll turn around too once I keep going.

Got out of bed and got a 45 min brisk walk in before starting work, got another few on a trot to the shop. Not far off 9,000. Linda McCartney sausages on a thin with bbq sauce for brekkie. Bit of a salad plate planned for lunch, spaghetti Bol for dinner. Only coming in at a 1,000 but that'll grow. Be nice to stick to 1600 so I've a bit of wriggle for my takeaway on Sunday

I meant l need the gaffer tape to put over my gob to stopme from being able to eat and the handcuffs to stop me being able to shovel it in my mouth Not Grin Grin Thank you re the IF suggestion , yes you are right l don't have to be so severe to start with thank you Not Smile
Not2bObvious · 18/02/2021 14:48

Ahhh, now that makes sense😂

99 left and a bit peckish so week have a brew. 13500 steps just about.
Day 2/40

Not2bObvious · 18/02/2021 19:54

Good work life
Just getting my 10,000 or so, just over 1400 cals, but I reckon I'll end closer to 1600 as I'm a bit hungry. Maybe a bit of toast

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 18/02/2021 20:03

I'm set at 1600 at the minute. Feeling good about it.
Left the chocco in aldo too today

Not2bObvious · 18/02/2021 20:43

That's great life. Yeah 1600 isn't too tortuous, especially if you're not using any of it up on chocolate.
I've (embarrassingly) become addicted to watching what 'I eat in a day' tik toks. Nobody who's lost any weight seems to mill through the chocolate & crisps like me! Probably explains why they've actually lost weight 🤔

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 18/02/2021 20:52

Oo I. Will. Look them up

Gensola · 18/02/2021 22:07

How do you see tiktoks? Do you have to be on the app yourself?
I only managed just over 10000 steps today but I did get a yoga class in. I feel work is getting away from me a bit so need to sort things out over the weekend.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/02/2021 06:33

I have the app as I keep an eye on the kids on it.

Happierwithouthim · 19/02/2021 07:55

I only just learned from you guys now about lent finishing on Holy Thurs, it finished with Easter Sunday and Easter Eggs in my RC household! Paddys Day was allowed off alright.

Dd has given up Pepsi Max, so I therefore can only drink it when she's not home so I'm not buying a case for the house until Easter's over and I'm too mean to buy it singly usually!

I've not started tracking yet Blush

Scales stuck at 13st/182lbs
No takeaways or alcohol consumed, enjoying my spiceentice stuff, had tikka masala and nacho mince this week
Steps averaging at 9096 so far this week so surpassing my 8k average Grin

Not2bObvious · 19/02/2021 08:08

Yep, there's an app, it's so long since I installed it I can't quite remember but you must register I think? There's tripe there of course but some really funny bits, it's suiting my mind at the moment - just little segments. Best not get on it if you want to do extra work gen - and I say sod extra work and try have a lovely weekend, it's been a very rough few days for you. How you feeling?
Down .4 and my happy scales has told me I'm making progress, woohoo, my average is down .1 😂 Hopefully my next Friday I'll have a lower average. Was under 1600 yesterday as hoped, that's 4 days of decent behaviour. Again planning to not cock up as much on the weekend, last weekend was an improvement so if I can improve marginally on that I'll be thrilled.

Not2bObvious · 19/02/2021 13:19

Did a 30 min metabolic body pump, not sure what the difference is but boy was I sweating. Then 30 mins jogging, 15 mins brisk walking on decent incline on treadmill. Have to bring the elderly parent (ep) to docs soon for the vac. And it is hideous out, ep very unsure of foot so I'm dreading it, as it's gale force winds and little or no parking. I'll have earned a glass of wine tonight!

OP posts:
Gensola · 19/02/2021 16:05

not OMG you must be a toothpick after all that!
We did a long walk, 15,000 steps achieved and yoga class later at 630.
Day three of no carbs, making a veggie lasagne with red lentil lasagne sheets. Will report back... Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/02/2021 16:18

Going to be over today and it's pizza Friday and I didn't get an alternative
Also hm cookies

Happierwithouthim · 19/02/2021 16:41

I made homemade cookies last night, recipe makes 5, I'd 2 last night, 1 today at work and dc are away until Sunday evening.

30g butter, 30g sugar, 1 egg, 100g oats 36g choc chips, vanilla essence and baking powder, all for me!
