Ah yeah I know, thanks gen, it's just a slog sometimes more than others. Lack of decent sleep doesn't help, I'll be better tomorrow. Good for you on the 40 days plan, hardcore!

Morning everyone 😀
Gen yes definitely agree with you re the bloat re Not . I just couldn't put up with the constant pressure of weighing again. I used to weigh everytime l went into the loo, where the scales were, it was torture . It didn't even work properly. I would weigh after a really good eating period of time and it would never be consistent 🙄
Life we aren't bothering with pancakes today, waiting for Dd2 to come back from work on Friday . Just feeling so fat , bloated and lethargic. My chin (s) 😁 feel uncomfortable , time to shift my behind!

Mrsmadevans · 16/02/2021 08:38

Not it will come off it's just water 🤗

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/02/2021 10:33

It's a fake increase not

Totally doable gen. No chocolate for me, stick to cals and 10k steps

Not2bObvious · 16/02/2021 10:36

Thanks all - sun is shining here at least that's something. Will try do a walk at lunchtime to clear that bad humour out. Working from bed, there are some upsides to this stinking lockdown

Scales showed a nice round 182 Shock this morning, I still had pancakes tomorrow is a new day 8k daily average steps for lent plus going to track daily also.

Thanks mad the boy did good even though I'd prefer to get flowers on a random day than valentines but it was also to mark fact he was staying while dc were there.

Card he got me was we go together like salt& pepper, mine said we just fit and had two jigsaw pieces on the front. Fair coincidence Smile

Yummy leftover roast dinner but not a veg in sight, another thing that must be improved on

I have dinner envy, love roast dinner. Cute cards too, you guys are on the same wavelength.
I thought my jeans were a bit tight yesterday, turns out they weren't the jeans I thought they were and they are in fact a pair that were always a tad snug. Wearing the much comfier less punishing pair today. Damn oasis with their multiple versions of same supposed model jeans! Got my 9,000 done, had my soup for lunch. Having another lie down

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 16/02/2021 15:47

Well at least they're the ones that have always been snug not

Got dc McDonald's but I hate it so getting my lunch when I go home.
Bf brought batch loaf at weekend so I'm thinking that with slow cooked ham, cheddar & relish with some coleslaw I'm hungry Grin

Not2bObvious · 16/02/2021 16:02

Yeah it was a bit of a relief. But bloody vanity sizing at its best on the other hand. That sandwich sounds wayyy better than anything McDonald's offers, I'd love that.
Pancakes are for dinner here, I can see a sambo in my future later this evening. I could murder cheese & coleslaw

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 16/02/2021 16:07

I ate a lot of pancakes this morning

Not2bObvious · 16/02/2021 16:32

I made 18, 2 have gone to parent, remaining 16 between the 4 of us. I think I'll try to just have 2, max 3. They're not particularly calorific....and then you hit them with Nutella (or eat a smidge here/there while setting up toppingsBlush)

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 16/02/2021 16:58

Ah those card are lovely.
I hate mcd too. Your idea sounds much better

Long walk today 19k steps to make up for yesterday.

Happierwithouthim · 16/02/2021 18:29

I don't usually eat white bread but it was delicious

Happierwithouthim · 16/02/2021 18:29

I'm not into valentines but he's into cards so Wink

Not2bObvious · 16/02/2021 21:21

Inspired by you happier, I had some white baguette with mature white cheddar and lynchs light coleslaw (my SV finally had it back in stock - delicious and decent cals)
And a few fancy crisps on the side. Just under 1600 for the day so banking 200 for later in the week. I saved 5 cals yesterday!
Not giving up anything for lent but will try hit some decent behaviour most days, up steps from 9 to 10,000, aim to drink more water, just basics I kind of am half assed doing already but will make a proper effort at. Only 43 days to go haha!

Gensola · 16/02/2021 22:07

I have hit 15000 steps the past 2 days. Tomorrow defo should as am going for a long walk at lunchtime with my friend who is a single mum, she asked me to go when she heard about IVF and it means a lot as I’m feeling really low. My family are all in NI and my best friend has 3 kids and just keeps saying I am lucky to have so much time to myself and that I shouldn’t have one! And I haven’t seen her since Nov anyway because of Covid.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/02/2021 08:00

Woke up late so will be pushed for time for aerobic. Pleasant surprise on sad step.
That's nice of your friend gen.

Not2bObvious · 17/02/2021 08:40

Got up, did a 30 min body pump and 35 mins jogging on the treadmill. Scales down 1.8 of the 2.2 jump, although it did take some repositioning on the bathroom floor to see that! Guac/egg/toast/tea and 7,000 of my 10,000 done - it will be a better day today.
Aww gen, I never get why people feel the need to say silly insensitive stuff like that, if you can't empathise you can sympathise. Fucking time, personally I have a pain in my face with time - shove your time is what I'd be tempted to say! I'm glad you're getting out for a walk and a chat with a friend, that'll be good for youThanks

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/02/2021 11:50

Squeeze 30 minutes aerobic in so 5700 steps so far. Back to tracking

ememem84 · 17/02/2021 11:52

went for a walk this morning. only half hour but thats better than nothing. will stroll down to the shop after lunch and post parcel.

gen whilst is is true that you do have more free time when you don't have kids, that's a rotten thing to say.

Gensola · 17/02/2021 12:32

Soooo I was supposed to do a home blood test thing today for thyroid where you prick your finger and then massage it so you fill a little bottle of blood then send to lab. Except I had a funny turn halfway through and fainted, then vomited and DH came into quite a scene. It took me ages to feel normal so I missed yoga. Will have to catch up later.

My friend acts like her children are nothing but a hindrance to her and is always going on about how lucky DH and I are to be able to do what we want etc. It’s driven a wedge between us tbh.

oh geeeees! hope you're feeling better now!

off friend needs to know her audience doesn't she?

Not2bObvious · 17/02/2021 13:18

That sounds a bit traumatic gen, you ok now?
Knowing your audience is a skill many don't master. I think you're on two completely different roads right now, it happens with the best of friends and while I'm sure there's no malice, you're probably not in the best space to deal with. A small step aside for a bit mightn't harm & could save the friendship in the longer term.
I have to visit family now, they're deeply depressed so it's going to be a pretty rough afternoon.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 17/02/2021 17:46

Gosh gen. Hope you've recovered
Good luck not

Not2bObvious · 17/02/2021 17:57

Home now, wasn't too bad but had its moments. That's the physical visit done for a week at least. Lovely dinner of chicken, coleslaw and little potato cakes. Still a bit peckish though, should go for a walk to distract myself but can't be arsed
