Just finished my workouts and jog, absolutely drenched! So clearly I'm two stone lighter already😂

OMG Happy St Valentines day , all your meals sound lovely Smile
Not that is lovely to have roses Smile
We haven't bothered today tbh couldn't get a decent card anyway so didn't bother Hmm

Gensola · 14/02/2021 15:09

Just did a long and freezing walk - my thighs are actually burning with the cold! 13,000 steps so should get the 15,000 by tonight.

Dreading testing tomorrow after the BFN test on Friday 😱 will get it over with then move on.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/02/2021 17:05

Hope it's a better result gen. How many cycles do you get?

Gensola · 14/02/2021 17:10

Unfortunately we have to pay for it all ourselves as DH has children - even though I don’t, the fact that he has a 23 and 26 year old from a previous marriage means I am not entitled to NHS IVF. It makes me so angry.

We have paid £10,800 for two cycle package and if it doesn’t work we will have to go abroad as it is cheaper there Sad

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/02/2021 20:24

Gosh that's a lot of money. That is unfair thought. Fingers crossed for tomorrow

ememem84 · 14/02/2021 20:34

Oh my god. That’s firstly ridiculously unfair. And secondly hella Spendy. I hope it all goes your way gen I’m thinking lots of implantation vibes for you.
Gensola · 15/02/2021 06:03

BFN here on official test date as I suspected. DH was sure it had worked and is devastated- I was not hopeful after the negative test on Friday so tbh I will test early in our next round too as I had the weekend to prepare and don’t feel too shocked today.
Stupid clinic rules mean I have to take meds until Weds and test again then but in normal pregnancy terms I’m 16 days past ovulation so if it had taken it would show by now, it’s just a precaution.
I do slightly feel like it will never work for us but we will use up the prepaid package at least which is one more frozen embryo plus another full cycle.
Thank you all so much for your support - it has been amazing, especially right now when I’m so isolated because of Covid, I don’t really have anyone to talk to Flowers

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/02/2021 07:29

Ah gen Flowers I'm so sorry to hear that. Be kind to yourself and dh. We are here to chat either by pm on on the thread.
You might as well use what your paid for but our feels raw right now. X

Gensola · 15/02/2021 07:52

life thanks - almost wish we hadn’t started this now, it’s so exhausting!
Anyway, I can get back on the peloton now and do some proper exercise after 14 days of yoga and walking! Planning a good hard spin class later on today.
Going to try my best to get my BMI down too - currently 25.5/26 depending on what calculator I use and would like it to be 24 or lower by March 17 when I will hopefully be starting next round.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/02/2021 07:56

It is and so invasive to your body. But you are right time to carry on being healthy and as fit as you can be for next time.
Today is not the day to think about next time. Today is the day to grieve for what could have been.

Not2bObvious · 15/02/2021 08:15

Very very sorry to hear about the test gen, it's so totally shit. Please take it easy and be kind to yourself, the mental load with this must be staggeringThanks

weighed in today 77.6kg. that'd be the huge amounts of roasty chickety chicks i ate yesterday then...!

Gensola · 15/02/2021 09:15

I am planning to weigh tomorrow as we had a really rich meal last night. We haven’t eaten out since before Christmas, so it was a bit of a shock to the system having a really rich three course (delivered) restaurant meal. Was up half the night feeling sick!

Not2bObvious · 15/02/2021 10:31

I ate very little yesterday. However I did drink too much so calories were had. Down 1.6 today, up .6 on Friday so that's better than other Mondays. My plan to not cock up as much was successful.
Feeling a bit delicate, I could eat & eat. It's going to be a battle today

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 15/02/2021 14:09

Ms picky knickers here, I'll have to remember to log all my munching. Very tired hungover I really need to get some steps but struggling

OP posts:
Gensola · 15/02/2021 15:37

I’m planning a hot bath and a bottle glass of rose later. Just need to get a spin class in and do shopping.
Trying to eat more healthily for a bit so have planned:
Baked fish with courgettes, carrots and a tabouléh salad
Veg and tofu stirfry with brown rice noodles
Roasted parsnip and puy lentil salad with goat cheese and walnuts

Lunches will be homemade butternut squash soup for two days and Spanish omelette for two.
Our veg box comes on Weds so will replan for rest of week then.
Reading the new Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall book and he’s pretty harsh on refined carbs and weight gain. Blush

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/02/2021 17:17

Hangover and diet do not work together.

Pft today 2200 steps

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/02/2021 17:18

Didn't do morning workout as feeling dizzy. Can tell

Happierwithouthim · 15/02/2021 18:26

Gen sorry to hear about test and wow to cost of it even though I'm not shocked as had heard it before.

Had my first beautiful Cliff walk of 2021 feeling refreshed

Needed after not one but two chocolate cakes dd made one because bf was staying over for first time while the dc were home and bf bought one for same reason! Hers is gone off with her to her dads and dd will finish off the remainder of bfs, hers was nicer because homemade Mary berry recipe Smile so other one isn't tempting me

No, not the best combo for sure. Got out for a decent walk & that helped. I'm not doing too badly on the cals but I'm not going to beat myself up about it if I go a bit over. Bloody achy after my workout yesterday too. Nearly 11,000 steps.
Bath & a medicinal Rose sounds just the thing gen, your food sounds delicious & super nutritious.

Mrsmadevans · 15/02/2021 22:40

Gen l am so sorry to hear the test was negative. It's heartbreaking for you both bless you 💐
Happier beautiful flowers 😊
Have been good today because I have been so busy 😃
Not great work on the calories 👏😃
Life hope you are feeling much better tonight 😊
Em chickety chicks sounds delicious 😋

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/02/2021 07:07

Feeling better today.
Shrove Tuesday's so start today ish though some cheese cake left. Properly tomorrow for 40 days

Not2bObvious · 16/02/2021 07:38

Up since 6.15 making pancakes and a pot of soup. Scales has gone up 2.2 so that was a kick in the teeth to start the day. Managed to stick to calories yesterday, didn't think I ate anything too salty. I did feel very bloated yesterday so maybe the muscles were holding water after Sunday's workout? Who knows, nothing to be done - just wish it didn't make me feel so upset, not helped by a rubbish sleep and general unwell feeling. Sorry for the moan, at least the stupid pancakes are made, that's one essential job done.

OP posts:
Gensola · 16/02/2021 08:04

not don’t be disheartened - it’s just a snapshot. You’re doing all the right things.
I am not going to weigh until Thurs once my wine and chocolate binge has had time to wear off.
We had pancakes for breakfast and about to enter 40 days no alcohol, no refined carbs and no sugar. It can only do me good, right?!
