Hurrah to cocktail! What did he make you gen? Having a g&t after some wine, being good'ish...

Gensola · 05/03/2021 20:17

Hé made a sunflower which is gin, limoncello, st Germain (elderflower liqueur) and lemon juice with ice and a dash of tonic. It was very nice! We are now drinking wine. Stuffed after the burger but god it was worth it 😂

Not2bObvious · 05/03/2021 21:21

Trés sophisticated! Sounds lush gen
If it's any consolation life, I'm incapable of eating/drinking under anything less than 2700-2800 of a Friday or Saturday. I'm sure you're doing better than that. Your job sounds high pressure, don't worry about this, you're within short distance of your weight goals. Mind your mind💕

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 06/03/2021 07:57

Yes my job is quite high pressure. I got lots of sleep last night so perversely an going to restart today.
Still want to lose 1/2 stone and weighs. Can't do weigh ATM as injury. Loadsa steps planned this week end though

Cocktail sounds mmmmm
Thanks not

Gensola · 06/03/2021 08:34

Still 64.5 despite lamb burgers wine and cocktail! Suck on that, evil digital scales!! Grin
I was feeling quite downhearted but have decided to take the long view. I know the stuff I’m doing is very good for me even if I don’t lose any more weight and that surgery will take a good hit of me. So I need to stop obsessing.

life you are very hard on yourself - half a stone will be slow for anyone I think because that last bit of weight is always very stubborn.

mrs great news about the vacciné! I wish DH would get called, he is 56 in April but hasn’t heard yet. I worry for him going back into the classroom this week.

Not2bObvious · 06/03/2021 09:57

That's a good weigh in for a Saturday gen, good for you taking a step back & looking at it. You're so right, everything you're doing is instilling good habits, it'll stand to you.
Heard a really good little saying, did you have a bad day or did you have a bad 5 minutes and you're milking it. Struck a chord with me. My own scales was up .4 on yesterday, average is still dropping due to decent weigh ins during the week. I ate and drank too much last night, so that's been my bad 5 mins this morning thinking about it. But that's all I'm allowing myself! Onward and downward.
Glad you're restarting today life, amazing how a decent sleep can reset everything. Hope your injury isn't too bad. I'm fine now but struggling to get back into weights or any classes. Bit of jogging and lots of walking is my limit now.

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 06/03/2021 12:11

Took myself out for a jog/walk. Have progressed to 35 minutes, got around 6,000 doing that and an additional 2,500'ish walking. Off for a nice shower and clean up

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 06/03/2021 12:45

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/03/2021 18:24

17400 steps. Carbs a bit heavy. Hm chicken curries for tea

Mrsmadevans · 06/03/2021 18:46

Life that was a welly and a half well done lovely! Grin

Not2bObvious · 06/03/2021 20:45

Just over 14,500 and just over 2500 cals. Oh well, could have been worse, last night was nigh on 3,000. I think it'll average out ok, if I behave myself tomorrow.

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 07/03/2021 07:16

Scales up again but average looking good at 162. Calories will be back on track today and no alcohol so might see a drop tomorrow.
Walk with teen planned, that should get me a few thousand steps plus a few €€ down! Nice and bright out but pretty chilly

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 07/03/2021 07:26

Sorry me again - I hid my happy scales previous entries so I could have a fresh start, had to look back here to see last weeks, so last week my average was 163.9, this week 162. Delighted with that! Even though I didn't manage to stick to 1650 on average, trying to meant I did better than the last few weeks. I've upped my steps a bit and I cut back a bit on alcohol. I joined Preece Nutrition private group too, that's what's got me reinvigorated. Just need to join in more, much calmer atmosphere than RH and people seem to be doing great. I needed something

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 07/03/2021 07:34

Omg not that's so weird. I asked to join the free group last night too. Are you thinking of paying?

I will pm you my real name when I join if you want. Not fussed if you don't

Walk today to the breakfast van but that will keep me going to Sunday roast. There will be carrot cake as fil birthday

Up today that'll be the chocolate. Forgive me I sinned

Not2bObvious · 07/03/2021 07:57

I joined the pay group life, it was only €4.99 for the month and I'd cancelled another group I'd been doing so I'd freed up cash. I like the guy, thought he deserved a bit of support and it was worth a try for a few months. There's two plans, so you can just go no macros, just cals or do the plan with macros. People just seem more positive and calm. Might see you on the other side!

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 07/03/2021 07:59

I hovered over it. Which plan are you going for?

Mrsmadevans · 07/03/2021 08:02

Morning everyone 😀
That's excellentNot & Life
I have not heard of this group mut have a delve 🤗
Off to MumBobs in a min , have a lovely walk Not
Happy birthday to your FIl too Life enjoy the carrot cake one of my faves ☺️ 🎂🥳😋

Not2bObvious · 07/03/2021 08:18

Relaxed for the moment - I'm not (that) bad at general nutrition but I do find trying to hit specific macro targets a challenge, I get lost in the minutiae when I just need to stick to calories. I know what to eat if I want to feel fuller. It's the zealousness of some plans that get me, I just need to do something I can live with. And particularly now I need some sort of community, no one in my actual life understands what I'm trying to do. The OH made a comment last night about me needing to relax and I near took his head off at the neck! If I relax I'm 13.7/14 stone again and I can't go there, I just can't

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 07/03/2021 11:39

I bloody love carrot cake. Having a roast style dinner here too, working out my timings now.
Just back from my walk, nearly 11,500 steps so that's me just about done for the day - no heroic measures required.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 07/03/2021 11:49

Walk here via sausage sambo. Joined the free group for now

Gensola · 07/03/2021 13:44

Mmm sausage sambo! I had egg and salmon on rye for breakfast and pea and mint soup with a roll and manchego cheese for lunch. Dinner is some sort of herb and lemon chicken DH has dreamed up!
What is Preece nutrition - is it someone who left Team RH? I have a vague memory.
Did a spin class and 15 min strength class this morning, my new plan is to go on bike for at least 15 mins each morning before I shower - I can get off after 15 if I hate it but so far once I’ve been on ive done at least 30 mins.
Had a bad food day yesterday but moving on from it without guilt.

Not2bObvious · 07/03/2021 13:55

Yeah, he was one of the earlier coaches. Real gentle giant type of guy, left during the great falling out - must be over a year now? Your food always sounds like you got it from an artisan deli! I am legit hungry but holding out for my roast in an hour, had smoked salmon/poached egg on wholegrain for breakfast. It's just a gorgeous sunny day here but a bit chilly. Stoopid rain due next week🙁

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 07/03/2021 14:49

2019 I think not

Not2bObvious · 07/03/2021 15:24

You're right life, time has flown, last year was a complete blur.
Roast dinner done - maybe a mini lidl magnum for afters 🤔
