I want biscuits, I'm actually pouting cause I have none🙁
On just over 8,000 steps, I'd like to get to 12,000-13,000 so a ways to go yet. I still haven't tried a workout since my back was at me but I'm much improved. Maybe Thursday I'll try a light weights workout. Had a pretty nice salad for lunch, strawberries for sweet (I'm trying to be good!) Bolognese for dinner. I've dropped my calories a bit, don't know how that might work since I can't stick to higher cals😂 But sure why not

Too long between brunch and dinner and not using calories we'll enough = snaccident

Not2bObvious · 02/03/2021 19:58

Fixed the biscuit issues. Haven't gone too mad.
Got just shy of 13,000 and finishing the day on 1550. Not feeling too bad.

Another fail day here l need a good kick up the backside!
Not you have done so well to keep a lid on the bikkies Smile

Not2bObvious · 03/03/2021 07:51

Scales down a bit more today, nothing like a huge bloat to fool you into thinking you're an overnight dieting success. Of course tonight would be chipper night, haven't had one in months but the kids have requested it as this weeks takeaway. I thought it might help to have it midweek, that way I'm not adding weekend drinks & chocs into the mix. You'd think I'd be thrilled to see a low, instead I'm anxious about it all being undone with a big bloat tomorrow🙁

I’m on the other side of that seesaw not - had pasta last night and have “put on” 2lbs!

With the legs, the fluid removal will take 3-5kg off (they aren’t sure til they go in exactly how much) but I am 4 or 5kg from the top of a healthy BMI, so I think I should be able to get closer to healthy BMI despite the legs, if that makes sense? Like there should be other weight to lose to get me there. Especially if they only took 3kg and left me still over weight. It does demotivate me sometimes thinking I’m battling to lose 0.5kg each week with these swollen legs dragging me down but hopefully I’ll be able to sneak the surgery in between my next two rounds of IVF. That way if the next embryo doesn’t stick the leg surgery which I have been waiting for for years can be a consolation.

Not2bObvious · 03/03/2021 10:56

Just keep going gen, you're doing great and you're very aware of what you're doing, so you know what needs to be wreaked. It'll all come good, patience & perseverance (again with the hypocrisy! I do apologise😉)
Seeing my loss made me jump up & go for a walk, got just over 7,000 in an hour. Had my breakfast late as can't have lunch til after 2. Trying to keep busy, not succeeding greatly. Younger dd had a few tears this morning, upset about school or lack of. Felt so sad for her, there was a lot of cuddles and some cake - for her, not me! I got the cuddles comfort.

Eaten the world today jt
But smashed it at conference x2 sessions

Mrsmadevans · 03/03/2021 20:43

Gen is it Lipedema you have , l think Liposuction is the only treatment for it afaik Flowers
Not ahh bless your Dd Flowers well done on the loss and the great motivation! Smile
life l will join you in eating the world too Grin

Not2bObvious · 03/03/2021 21:07

Compromised on the takeaway, had chips but cooked my own chicken. I'm not wasting my reduced cals on food I don't particularly like. Left around 100 behind. Just over 11,000 steps, that's me done.
Well done on the conferences life, were you speaking or?
I had to go to bed just after 8 to avoid eating the world mrs, I can always eat...

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 04/03/2021 06:58

Yes speaking on both. It's a week of virtual conferences at work.
Paying for the loads of crisps and halloumi yesterday now though.
Aerobic this morning and walk tonight should be fine with lots to drink

That's bloody good going not
Mrs I keep meaning to ask you what's the respo thread about? Have I seen you on it or is it someone else?

Not2bObvious · 04/03/2021 07:30

Down a small smidge today. I think it might be my lowest for a while but I've hidden past weigh ins on happy scales so I'm not sure. No chicken counting going on here!
Crisps & cheese, ooh yum. But both salty obvs so it'll just be bastard bloat, well done you on the conference's.

Gensola · 04/03/2021 07:39

mrs yes Lipoedema and I have a great surgeon who is going to remove the diseased fat, he thinks 3-5 litres in total so between 1.5-2.5 per leg! If the embryo doesn’t stick in March/early April he is going to see if he has any cancellations in May, I need three operations, they’re just day procedures so not too bad but I think recovery is 6ish weeks. He uses a micro cannula rather than the larger tubes used for cosmetic liposuction as he is trying to preserve lymphatic function and if you use a normal one you can damage the lymph drainage.
Slept terribly last night due to a large G and T consumed in weak moment. Need to wise up!

Not2bObvious · 04/03/2021 10:20

That's a mad amount of tissue gen, does it cause you any discomfort?
Did an outdoor jog to the shop, my second this week. I did 15 mins Tuesday and 23 mins today, it's much harder running outside than on the treadmill. Just over 7,000 in the bag between the jog there & walk back. Have to get EP their shopping this afternoon so that'll be another 3 or 4,000. Made ham & lentil soup for lunch 😋

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 04/03/2021 18:08

Wow that's loads of excess.
Steps got. Food bollocks

Gensola · 04/03/2021 19:22

not yes it hurts and it bruises super easily - that’s actually how I got diagnosed, I kept getting absolutely terrible bruises for no reason. I’m pretty lucky, I’m still stage one at 35 so i have a slow growing sort.
Food today was good. no exercise apart from a walk to get steps to 15,000.

Not2bObvious · 04/03/2021 19:42

Ouch, you poor thing. I thought only people of the size like the 600lb life people suffered with this condition. Didn't realise it could affect normal weight folk.
I'll be on 12,000 steps by bed, leaving around 150 behind. I had hoped I'd do a weights workout today but struggling with motivation. But with food/steps going well, I'm not going to stress.

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 04/03/2021 22:31

Yes it's me on the Respo thread Life Grin
l don't know what it is about really Grin just a few mad ppl who are putting the world to rights or lefts as it twists n turns we just go with the flow tbh Grin all are welcome, they are a really friendly lot Smile
Not ham n lentil soup ohhh that sounds gorgeous !
It is best to go to bed if you are at risk of scoffing l find, well done on your steps and food control today too ! Smile
Been busy today so not too bad thankfully, cleaned kitchen , downstairs cloakroom, bathroom , made a chilli for tomorrow and done a mountain of washing , drying , folding , ironing and putting away!
Gen it's really unlucky that you have Lipedema but good that you have grade one and your surgeon sounds really empathetic toward you Flowers
Better get to bed have a good night sleep everyone Smile

Not2bObvious · 05/03/2021 07:18

Scales up 1.2, possibly linked to ham & other salty food yesterday. It's not so bad when I can realise that it's not linked to overeating/over drinking. My average is coming down nicely, so it's a Happy Friday! Breakfast & dinner planned, lunch to be decided 🤔

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 05/03/2021 13:14

Busy'ish morning, did a few housework things (shock, horror!) On just over 6,000 steps so around 50% done. Taking it fairly easy today, food included, toastie/tea/few crisps for lunch - yum
