I’m still at 64.5 - just seem to be stuck here nothing to do with wine and nuts and ice cream and crisps

Really hoping spin starting again and keeping on trying my best to eat properly will make a diff - would love to see the 63s or even 62s before start of my next cycle.

not you know you can’t gain 3lb in one day cos that would mean eating like 12,900 cals?! 😬
Meeting a friend for a walk in park later, need to get a spin in + have lots of work prep to do.
Meal plan for next few days until veg box comes:
Peppers stuffed with bulgur wheat, herbs and nuts, salad
Venison ragu with pasta (for me I’ll have a 1/2 portion of pasta and the rest courgetti)
Fish cakes with carrot, sweetheart cabbage, courgettes baked in garlic oil and braised red cabbage.
Veggie and chickpea curry with cauliflower rice for me and brown rice for DH
I suspect it will be a windy few days here 😂

Not2bObvious · 28/02/2021 13:09

Imagine eating nearly 13,000 in a day...oh my I would be in my element! For a greedy lump like me, that's akin to the what would you do if you won the lottery.
Been for a long shopping walk with teen dd, over 12,000 steps and a few € later, mood improved & lighter of pocket at least! It's cool but beautifully sunny so we're going to dine al fresco, albeit probably wrapped in blankets. Planning a little cocktail for dessert😉

Done myself a mischief packing stuff. Eaten lots will restart tomorrow

Not2bObvious · 28/02/2021 20:14

Eaten a lot here too. Hope you haven't done too much mischief life. Thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine today, hoping to feel ok tomorrow although I might avoid the scales having been a lump of blob today!

Seems to be one of those days for most of us, hey ho, tomorrow is another day yay! Just going to have some Popcorn and finish watching Dodds Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/03/2021 07:01

Didn't weigh today. I've pulled myself lifting stuff. Need to go to chemist today. Should be ok walking but it's a bit sore. No weighs or squats

Not2bObvious · 01/03/2021 07:13

Scales holding 166'ish figure from yesterday. Had an option to make this my new start weight, so decided to take it. And I've adjusted my goal to 159. I'd like to lose around 28 pound in total but I'm going to change it to 7 pounds x 4 times.
So fresh start on the 1st of March!

Happy St Davids day everyone 😊

Happy St David’s Day!

I have not weighed, since Sunday involved the following: two Purim pastries made for me by a lovely friend (pastry with jam and chocolate)... crisps... two glasses of white wine and two of champagne as it is a year since we got engaged so we thought we’d celebrate. A limoncello. Thai chilli crackers.
I feel slightly ... groggy this morning Grin never drinking again. Etc.

Not2bObvious · 01/03/2021 16:19

Fab day here, I got a walk in the park before work - bliss. And I've only just had lunch so nearly 6 hours between meals, if only I could be busy everyday.

Happierwithouthim · 01/03/2021 18:47

This arrived for me today, that'll help the weight loss Grin

Scales holding its own, Bacardi & diet cokes went down well but felt fine yesterday and didn't overindulge.

Oh bf brought a cake too, Black Forest gateau from Supervalu bakery!

Did a long walk yesterday and reached my goal of 8k average steps, didn't think I'd manage it with hangover but I wasn't hungover!

Ooh that looks amazing! Them Black Forest gateaux are very light, you'll be grand😉 I'm well jel - excellent to have avoided a hangover & get a long walk yesterday.
Just shy of 13,000 and target of 1500 cals, decent day

Gensola · 01/03/2021 20:41

I am ready for bed and it’s not even 9pm Grin knackered as slept so badly after boozy Sunday. Did a spin class and a weights session on the app, got my steps in too. Food wasn’t too bad but I was definitely more snacky than usual because of poor sleep. Tomorrow will be better!
Tomorrow is also a crazy work day so most I can hope for is steps, no time for workout although I did just see a Michael Mosley documentary where he said doing a 60 second super hard cycle as fast as you can go is just as good as a 45 min jog! So maybe I’ll try that Grin

Mrsmadevans · 01/03/2021 20:58

I saw that too Gen 😁
Black forest gateaux yummy Happier 😁
Not great day well done! 🖐️
Been awful here 🙄😜 tut tut.

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/03/2021 06:55

Poop day yesterday as just felt beaten. Today will. Be bettered

Gensola · 02/03/2021 07:27

Still at 64.5. Sigh. Food today planned to be overnight oats with yoghurt, apple, cinnamon and kefir.
Lunch - broccoli and blue cheese soup with a side salad of kale and lentils.
Dinner - venison ragu with pasta/courgetti.
It’s the snacking that gets me, I get super hungry between meals. Yesterday I had a banana, orange, a Purim cookie, an apple, rice crackers with hummus and olives.

Not2bObvious · 02/03/2021 07:51

Down 2.2 on yesterday's high. Since I reset my Happy Scales I've hit 3 of my 10 milestones, setting the bar low has benefits.
It'll start shifting down gen, give it a few days. I often need half the week to start seeing the scales go down. Sts is a step above a gain for sure. All your food sounds so good, as do your snacks but have you checked how they stack up calories wise? Could be 400- 500 looking at it.
Could you prepare a snack box for throughout the day and work the calories out, take the impulse out of snacking. When you're so busy it could be helpful.

OP posts:
Gensola · 02/03/2021 08:01

not I’m sure it’s 500 or even more, I remember when I started tracking my calories on MFP a few years ago and realised my calories from snacking and booze were sometimes more than from my meals! I’m not drinking during the week atm so the booze part is fine but the snacks less so.
I think if I could get back to IF that would help a lot as if I delay breakfast, I miss out the morning snacks naturally. Then it would be the snacks between lunch and dinner to get a hold of, which might be tackled in various ways including doing my spin class at that time so I can’t snack. The thing is I am properly hungry, not just bored or whatever. Maybe I just need to get used to being hungry for a few hours but it makes me a very grumpy person Grin

Not2bObvious · 02/03/2021 10:30

I suppose does it come down to why are you snacking - are your meals satisfying you or is it stress/boredom/thirst. IF isn't great if it makes you hangry - sod that in these stressful times. Of course nowt wrong with a snack if you can maintain a calorie deficit. You really don't sound like you need to lose a lot, your current weight is pretty much my goal weight - and the lower you are, the more the little things matter. There's very little low hanging fruit.
I do of course realise I'm a total hypocrite and only actively diet between Monday - Wednesday😂

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 02/03/2021 10:32

Oops sorry missed where you said you were hungry! Fruit has a tendency to make me hungry. Maybe bulk main meals out more?

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 02/03/2021 10:55

Fruit makes me hungry too.
Hence I snack on crisps, chocolate.... Blush

Gensola · 02/03/2021 11:55

not my issue is that at 5’2 I am overweight at this weight - if only I were a couple of inches taller Grin I know a good bit of my weight is the fluid in my legs but I do have weight to lose elsewhere too. If IVF fails in March/April I’ll try to have the surgery on my legs before round 3, which should get rid of 3-5kilos in one fell swoop. That will be such a good feeling!

Not2bObvious · 02/03/2021 12:10

You're just going to have to work on getting taller😉 I forgot about your fluid condition, surely that'll disproportionately affect the scales too?
Yes life, seems like you're on the same snack plan as me 😂

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 02/03/2021 13:30

Gen those snacks sound ok to me, had to google the cookies!

Gateaux gone, last two slices of orange cake divided into 4 and frozen for snacks.

I'm the opposite with snacks this week thanks to later start, not needing morning one at the moment.

Scales up to 182 this morning, that'll be the Bacardi showing itself. It's also my week off pill so it's grand.

Steps awful yesterday will try better today

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/03/2021 13:59

Bah pick up biscuits are too nice
