lifelongfrugaleer · 26/02/2021 20:17

Sorry I ate it all Mrs

Mrsmadevans · 26/02/2021 20:20

@lifelongfrugaleer

Sorry I ate it all Mrs
You deserved it 😂
Not2bObvious · 26/02/2021 22:01

Seems like we're all on an ice cream buzz! Although not for me tonight, wine/crisps/chocolate, haven't tracked yet but I will tomorrow. I don't think the Lidl app is as good in Ireland mrs although I do use it to the best I can! Someone here a while ago won £20 off shopping on the scratch card (was it wreck? Haven't seen her in ages) the most I ever got was €1! I have a full 50 cent on the most recent one😒 I get the odd € off here & there. BUT most exciting there's a coffee machine in my local one, relatively decent walking around coffee for a €1, it's my early morning treat as long as the machine isn't ooo.

Phew! Got away with a .2 up this morning. Sadly it halved my average to .1 for the week, but I'll get over it😉
I'm now 163.8 average, 163.6 on the scales this morning. Tomorrow will v likely be a big jump with takeaway on the cards

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 27/02/2021 09:54

I got away with sts unfortunately that sts undoes last week

Gensola · 27/02/2021 10:04

I just did my first spin class since 1 Feb (advised no hard exercise around transfer or for two week wait) and OMG I am dead. I’ve lost so much fitness in just 3/4 weeks! I thought getting lots of steps and yoga in would maintain it but no chance!!
Haven’t weighed but will tomorrow.
It’s a gorgeous sunny day here so going for a nice walk once DH has finished work. He has Saturday school Shock

Not2bObvious · 27/02/2021 10:40

Good on you for spinning gen, I haven't done anything more strenuous than a walk in a week now. Did spinning once, could barely walk for a week!
I did change the bed yesterday though so that was a workout in itself. Lazing in bed watching TikToks and trying to rouse myself to do something, very lazy week. This lockdown is aging me

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 27/02/2021 10:40

Ageing even, unless aging is show for aggravating me, which it is too

Mrsmadevans · 27/02/2021 11:11

Morning everyone 😀
The toffee Poppets got to me last night ! I ate 3 boxes one after the other! God knows what they are in calories 🙄
Not yes l think it was Wreck who won £20 but l have not seen her here for months or on the frugally money site 🤗
Lidl app here is great am wondering how different it is in Ireland though 🤗

Gensola · 27/02/2021 11:13

It’s aggravating the F out of me. I am so sick of everything being so difficult - I need a new passport and it’s mission impossible! Trying to book a mini break and agonising over whether we will be allowed to go. Every time I visit the clinic for IVF stuff worried I’ll test positive and it will all be cancelled. Arghhh!!

Not2bObvious · 27/02/2021 11:54

I think it's maybe the £20 thing that made me think we're were getting a rubbish version. Get discounts % and € off a few different things each week, to be fair it's decent enough. But 50c off scratch card, grrr, bitter much moi??
That must be a worry gen to add to the stress of the treatment. I'm desperate to get away, I just want to go further than 5km at this stage. I kind of have to let it wash over me, apologies for giving out about it, should be encouraging a C word free zone (and yes it is a right C word!)

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 27/02/2021 12:21

Hi everyone sorry I've not been on lately.

not I don't think lidl app is up to much unless the discounts are on stuff you actually want, I go there only occasionally, I prefer aldi.

Today's my birthday I made a cake last night, 4 ingredients, 2 oranges, 6 eggs, 250g caster sugar and 250g ground almonds, there was meant to be quarter tsp of salt but I forgot! You poke holes in the oranges and boil them, when they were boiled I discovered I could've done this part in the microwave. And then beat eggs and sugar for 2 mins and mix in the pulped oranges(everything including skin) and almonds and bake. I'll attach a photo when I get my phone back off ds.

So I bought a portion of fish from freezer in corner shop, they buy catering stuff, it was lush and had with two hash browns and actifry chips. Had a chocolate ganache dessert from aldi 322 cals and so not worth the cals and a pack of king crisps left from christmas, yum!

I'm off takeaway from 1st feb until easter, only get it once a month anyhow but the fish was a good substitute. Dc had takeaway thurs night and I had steak and chips.

My steps are fairly ok for the week and the scales showed 179.50 yesterday and 180 today so happy scale is giving me a 0.5lbs loss. Breaking lent to have some bacardis and diet coke tonight for my birthday so scales will surely jump after that.

gen i think you're being very hard on yourself with if and exercise with all going on with ivf treatment.

I paid for €300 worth of vouchers for a hotel in Limerick when there was 20% off for black friday so I'm hoping I'll get to use them, not aiming any further than that.

House purchase looks likely to complete next month
Ds back to school next week, dd two weeks later so looks like things are turning around for us.

Not2bObvious · 27/02/2021 12:49

Happy Birthday! Hope you have a brilliant day. I've made that cake, with mandarins instead of oranges, same as you learned I could have used the microwave instead of 2 hours on the hob. Never mind. It is utterly fabulous and well worth the time.
Next month as in March for the house? Best of luck for that. Enjoy your b&c's, I'll raise a glass to you later 🎉

12020 steps so far...!

Mrsmadevans · 27/02/2021 17:11

Happier have a lovely day m'dear and that cake sounds lovely all orangey yummy ! Flowers
Well done Em! Smile
Gen you don't need this stress especially with the IVF lovely Flowers
Not l went to Lidl's again today , got my £10 Voucher and bought my first veg box for 1.50. It was absolutely excellent value. Nothing rotten or gone off. 2 punnets of cherries, 1 Pomelo, about 4 packs of mixed tangerines and clementines, 1 avocado, 1 aubergine, about 2.5kgs of potatoes, 2 bananas, a few carrots, loads of lovely onions, 3 big beetroots for boiling which l put straight into my slow cooker for Dh , he loves boiled beets Grin a pkt of Spinach and randomly a pear and a single blackberry! It must have been about £13 as a conservative estimate .

Happierwithouthim · 27/02/2021 20:08

Not was it very moist and not at all cakey?

6000 steps shy of 8k average, if we got for a Sunday walk like last Sunday I'll be fine but unlikely because of drinkies Grin

Yes as in March, it's very possible if their solicitor does his thing & bank don't delay Hmm

I resisted Aldi's new magnum dupe in both mint and salted caramel flavours but fell victim to their hazelnut chocolate 100g bar which I've eaten on the way home Blush

Not2bObvious · 27/02/2021 21:03

As memory serves me it might have been a tad more puddingy? No proper rise due to lack of flour/raising agent. It certainly aged well, better on the second/third day for sure. Fingers crossed for this coming month, house buying is head wrecking!
I've had wayyyy too much to eat. I will be seeing no loss this week or next at this rate

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 27/02/2021 21:06

Btw - the hazelnut one is a tonne better for dieting than the almond - only cause it's only 100gr, the almond is twice as dangerous at 200gr and utterly irresistible!
Enjoy your drinkers, cheers 🥂

Drinkies obvs 🙄

I am afraid I had wine. Again. And cashew nuts. Alas.

Mrsmadevans · 27/02/2021 23:11

Cashews are delicious my favourite nut! If you are going to eat nuts then have the very best Gen
Happier well it is your birthday and you deserve a treat 😊👍!
Not got to have a treat lovely , also Aldis choc is very difficult to resist imho 😄
Better get going have a good nights sleep Everyone 😴

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/02/2021 07:42

I discovered the Hazel nut one too happier last week. Mmmmm

Yeah on the house. Got everything crossed.

Up today. That's what lack of track does for you

Not2bObvious · 28/02/2021 08:34

Up 2.6 after my takeaway, I wasn't going to record it but it's just data. I haven't gained nearly 3lb of fat in 2 days, I've gained water weight. I have to get that through my bloated fat headAngry Average is 163.9

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 28/02/2021 09:21

Definitely salt retention not
