Tagsisbk · 23/02/2021 23:25

Can I join

I need to do something, probably calorie counting and 5:2/4:3

I’m phasing into it currently, did want to start today but endometriosis Flare and the need to line my stomach to take naproxen and codeine meant otherwise.

Gensola · 24/02/2021 06:32

Welcome tag sorry about the flare up, endo is the worst Flowers

I suddenly felt very defeated today as realised I am still 6kg heavier than I should be. That’s a stone. Argh. I am plateauing now at 64.5/65.1 so need to tighten my tracking and maybe throw in a couple of 800 cal days each week. Going to try going back to 14:10 IF, when DH cooks I ask him to have it ready for 730 so I can close my fasting window but he always ends up really behind and we don’t eat until 2030/2045! He is an amazing cook though so I’ll let him off.
Going to try having breakfast at 10/1030 (lessons mean I can’t be exact) and then dinner at 730 so I’m eating between 10 and 8. Also need to crack down on the snacks.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/02/2021 06:56

Woah gen. By all means tighten up but you have been through the mill these last few months be kind to yourself.

. 75 of an lb off for week 1

Oh happier that is so annoying re the house.

Hello tag

Not2bObvious · 24/02/2021 08:28

Don't be too hard on yourself gen, your body is being expected to go through a lot with this treatment - I say aim to maintain and if you lose that's brilliant. Should be whatever, don't upset yourself, it's not good or necessary.
That's great life, solid loss for week 1.
Down a smidge today

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/02/2021 09:32

Exam day so going to eat my feelings today and hang it. Will do a walk later so steps will be fine

Not2bObvious · 24/02/2021 09:50

Exam day for you? Or who? Good luck regardless. Would like to eat feelings but working from bed to avoid everyone so no food until lunch unless I brave the stairs - teen may ask if I want a coffee soon but she will give out if I ask for choc, my very own diet doctor. I'll get the "you're not hungry really are you?" ahhh to be lucky enough not to use food as a crutch

OP posts:
Gensola · 24/02/2021 10:36

Thanks both Smile
life what exam is it?
The dog next door has been barking for over an hour without stopping. We have complained to them several times and it gets briefly better then always gets worse again. It is driving me mad as my students can hear it when I teach online and I can’t think straight (we live in a terrace so it sounds like he is in the room with me!)
I think it’s getting to complain to the council territory tbh.

Not2bObvious · 24/02/2021 10:36

Himself doesn't mind being a feeder, coffee & a healthy'ish bar with a square (or 3) of chocolate. Blood sugar lifted. No steps so far, no idea when I'll get them done

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 24/02/2021 17:04

Me having the exam. Professional qualifications in data protection.
Glad it's over. Today will end. There might be chocolate. Nothing tracked

Gensola · 24/02/2021 17:21

Sounds scary life
I’m about to go to my fertility acupuncture appt, she rescheduled it to 6 as she had a cancellation.
Somehow still have 2-3 hours of work to do for tomorrow which sucks. Will do an hour tonight and get up at 6am tomorrow. Sigh.

Food has been ok, having a later breakfast meant I didn’t need my morning snack. Just had a yoghurt and some grapes as acupuncture lady said to have a light snack so who am I to argue Grin

Not2bObvious · 24/02/2021 18:00

Oh DP, yuck! Don't break your lent for that, have some Sunday, you've been doing great.
Have you had acupuncture before gen?

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 24/02/2021 19:34

I didn't have chocolate. Have had copious carbs so now no one is sitting near me

Gensola · 24/02/2021 20:20

not no this was my first time! It was interesting, not at all sore. I hope it helps. em you have it, don’t you?

Not2bObvious · 24/02/2021 21:32

That's great life. Win win, carbs and peace😉
It certainly can't harm gen, might relieve some stress?
In bed now, ended on 1700 and just over 10,000 steps. Good enough

Mrsmadevans · 24/02/2021 23:07

Very quick post because I have been busy and hence very good 🤗👏

Welcome Tag 😀
Gen 💐
Good luck with the result life fingers crossed 🤞😃
Not you never cease to Cheer us on you are a diamond 💐👏🤗

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/02/2021 06:58

Didn't sleep well so today will be a battle. Salt snack have added 1 lb. Lots of water

Not2bObvious · 25/02/2021 07:25

Ahh thanks mrs, I think we're all great cheer leaders - you especially!
Sorry tag, reading back I didn't say hi and v welcome. Bloody endometriosis, I have a mild case and it's well controlled by the pill but I've been there with the difene etc. It's a horrible condition. I hope you're feeling better soon. The good thing about intermittent fasting is it's so flexible, so if there's days of the month you can't start out on a fast cause you need to line your stomach that's just a non fast day. Regardless of anything, it's just calorie deficit you're aiming for. There's a school of thought that due to woman's hormonal fluctuations we probably can only realistically lose (scale?) weight at certain times of the month, I think there's truth in that if only cause I eat like a lunatic when I feel hormonal!
Waiting to weigh, EP coming tonight, I'd like to say I won't drink but I'm not a complete delusional despite evidence to the contrary!

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 25/02/2021 07:56

Down .6 - looking at a .2 loss this week so far, the weights melting off me😂

OP posts:
Gensola · 25/02/2021 08:48

I’m on day 2 of my new IF attempt. Trying to have breakfast at some time after 10am and get dinner in before 8. Last night because of acupuncture we didn’t eat til later which is annoying but onwards and upwards!
Food today hopefully will be: yoghurt and blueberries, banana, pistachio nuts; roasted veg and brown rice salad with hummus; tuna steak with salady bits. Will try not to snack too much.

Not2bObvious · 25/02/2021 09:00

Your food sounds really yummy & nutritious gen, hit the water if tempted to snack, that sometimes helps. Had my guac/poached egg/wholegrain toast brekkie. Much nicer weather here today, got to get shopping for EP shortly so I'll get a walk in. Still avoiding workouts/jogging as my back is still very draggy. No need to take any drugs so far, hanging onto them for fear life as doubt I'll have much joy with the doctor right now. Fingers x'ed whatever inflammation there is goes down soon

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 25/02/2021 09:02

Dear not fear - just realised an anti inflammatory mightn't be a bad idea, took one to see if it helps

OP posts:
Gensola · 25/02/2021 13:40

not hope your back settles soon, anti inflammatory should help 🙏🏻
I’m so pissed off chasing my tail with work, it just feels like a treadmill.
One more lesson today.

Not2bObvious · 25/02/2021 14:17

Must be frustrating working like this gen, are you back to the classroom soon? If yes will it help?
Had a good hour long walk & chat with my bestie on the phone, back feels much better between that and the pill. Close to 9,000 so just over 1,000 to go. Had a sambo and half a packet of crisps for lunch. Trying to save myself for dinner/dessert tonight but mindful that can backfire if I get too hungry. Might set calories at 2,000 which would be maintenance cals.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 25/02/2021 16:22

I passed, whoop

2 x chocolate biccies - not whoop
