Forgot - Susie - grrrr. My DP went out for three hours one evening this week to help someone else finish some work that he had already done for his area. I think they are cut from the same cloth. We had a teary discussion... don't know how you make them see. I do feel for you and I hope things get more positive.

susiecutiemincepies · 22/12/2007 15:36

I was probably in the phone Polly at noon, arguning a bit more and crying down it to him. He doesn seem to understand the concept that I just want HIM.simple.

Hes now in Derby, trying to fix a valve for a fuel tank, himself, as there is no-one able to go and do it. Wont know if it works until another tanker delivery comes nd they wont say when that will be. But, trains need fuel so it will be sometime today... meantime, we have NO food in the house AT ALL... i've still got some shopping to do for pressies and my back is givng me hell.

Sorry to moan again... really I am. Just really down about it. We had important plans today, which have had to be cancelled last minute, letting down a good friend in the process.

I know what you mean about tv Polly. Isobel has been very happy to sit an gawp for a few months now. - well, not forthe entire few months, she does have baths, and eat.

It is a life saver sometimes though, when I cannot do to much with her. We need more toys for her age, desperately, but cannot afford them now, from all the things we had to get for the move. so i'm hoping family will be generous!

I have managed to tear mum away from writing her sermon so we can go to M&S for the spouts well, that and every other item of food you can imagine! as well as soap and cleaning fluid and bog roll and well, the list goes on...

Ikea are now delivering the bed for Isobels room tomorrow, so maybe if, (big IF) he can get home tonight, he can put the other furniture out of the way so we can actually get her into her room!

once again, sorry for rambling on, helps so much you konw!

you are all great, and so reliable! ( unlike someone i know... )

hope you are all having a happy time and getting ready for the festivities. Now done feel at all guilty about letting go of the diet girls, it is the time of year for feasting... we do have until easter after all ;)

Yes, I'm still here reading all your posts but i have nothing to share in terms of any kind of success and I had Calipso coffee with cream on top! i just have tpo wait for after Christmas time, girls.

santaslittlebumper · 22/12/2007 19:22

fedda ,don't worry about having anything to share, something i talk utter shite because i like it in here.it's just good to know there is someone therealthough if you want to share your coffee i wouldn't say no

i'm so excited about xmas.i just want to see the dcs faces and it is dds 1st one so it all feels special this year

santaslittlebumper · 22/12/2007 19:22

fedda · 22/12/2007 20:56

Oh, I'll share my coffee with you. It was soooo nice. i can't wait to have another one, this time with you so we can both enjoy it. I'm also excited about Christmas. Not long now.

pollywollybauble · 22/12/2007 21:28

well i will be weighing myself again before xmas as i have the puking bug.....was at a lovely b/day party with great food and cake, didn't fancy any and had to come home....ra ra ra strictly come dancing!

fedda, just come on for a chat

jahan...happy Eid!

susiec and mylittlepud....i don't know how to get the message thru other than to say with my hubby i need to
1have him in front of me
2look him in the eyes
3drop my stiff upper lip but
4 don't blart all over him
5practise what i want to say so that i'm not incomprehensible

sorry you feel sedated mylittlepud....you know it's a side effect that lessens don't you.....know how you feel though i'm in 2 minds about the new meds i'm on for spasticity which have the same effect...

big cuddle susie...i'm sure dd will be spoilt rotten at xmas!

yo, santaslittlebumper! btw i've never heard you speak shite unless virtually inebriated...

pollywollybauble · 22/12/2007 21:29

ps susie, i like the idea of having spouts for xmas dinner...

susiecutiemincepies · 22/12/2007 22:30

Spouts indeed... god I ought to check my posts first!

trouble is with Dh, he finds emotions really really difficult to deal with at the best of times. Harder is he's the cause of the upset. So he actually doesnt answer the phone to me at times, which makes it even bloody harder. frustrating to sy the least!

I jsut want to hold him and snuffle his chest and stroke his forehead and hold his feet ion the sofa. not much is it?

He thinks he may have mended the valve that is faulty himself. wont know until they try to deliver fuel into the tank its in. surprise surprise, no delivery toniight. they have one every other night of the bloody week. So, got ot wait until tomorrow to see if it worked. If not, it wont be until christmas eve that he's home. hes in his room in B'ham as its only an hour from the the depot with the problems. If he comes home, hes nearly 2.5 hours away. so makes no sense to be here.

I've not had any tea tonight, but have eaten 1 piece of shortcake I bought for him, a handful of jelly beans and a large mug of mulled wine.

Went food shopping, and have to say, most of it was not diet food... far too much naughty stuff, but hey,it's christmas after all!

MLF: I'm sure that side effect doesnt last that long, as your levels build up and you are slightly more tolerant to it. fingers crossed it all settles really soon for you. I guess its a case of weighing up the benefits of taking it though, and they are usually far greater than the side effects... but oyu know this

jahan, glad you let yourself enjoy Eid. thats what thse feast days are for you know

we'll all get back to it in the new year. fresh start and all

pollywollybauble · 22/12/2007 22:44

why do our family get buggy at xmas/new year?this is the third time in a row we've had a gastric thing....[fed up]....actually [not fed]

hi susie, glad you managed to get some food in.......these men who can't cope with emotions are bl**dy good at stirring them up, aren't they???

santaslittlebumper · 23/12/2007 08:58

ooh thats a nice big pile slb...thank you

pass the white and here we go....i will survive...hey, hey!

Jahan · 23/12/2007 19:59

Aaah Susie! I hope your dh has made it back.
Thanks for the Eid wishes! We all had a great time at my mums and the whole family, including pils, are coming here for Christmas. Dh is going to do a bbq(?!). He says it makes more sense to stand over blisteringly hot coals when its cold rather than in the heat of the summer. I suppose there's some logic in that!
We'll have the usual roast potatoes, sprouts etc but with bbq'd chicken.
I think its a great idea as it means that he'll do most of the cooking.

I'm with you girls - Am really going to go for the diet in the new year and just relax for the time being.

pollywollybauble · 23/12/2007 22:27

to all katybumpers....

My Christmas wish for you, my friend
Is not a simple one
For I wish you hope and joy and peace
Days filled with warmth and sun

I wish you love and friendship too
Throughout the coming year
Lots of laughter and happiness
To fill your world with cheer

May you count your blessings, one by one
And when totaled by the lot
May you find all you've been given
To be more than what you sought

May your journeys be short, your burdens light
May your spirit never grow old
May all your clouds have silver linings
And your rainbows pots of gold

I wish this all and so much more
May all your dreams come true
May you have a Merry Christmas friend
And a happy New Year, too ..

My Christmas Wish For You
