Welcome to the new thread!

OP posts:
Carnival · 23/11/2007 23:23

Sorry, thanks, PWB - lol on the arteries.

katybump · 23/11/2007 23:31

haven't got to christmas yet carnival but i tend to give myself the weekend off for good behaviour

pollywollybauble · 23/11/2007 23:32

carnival we seem to give ourselves regular days off (apart from the very disciplined ones (you know who you are!)

someone else is full of gas!....I have tried cutting out beans, charcoal and all sorts (though i draw the line at fart pads which go over your bum like a flap and deoderise anything coming through or fartpants which are sealed top and bottom and collect the gas.....i'd look like the michelin man!) i feel i ought to recycle them sometimes for the good of the planet

pollywollybauble · 23/11/2007 23:33

and katyb you have to tell me what he does with them....

divamummy2 · 23/11/2007 23:39

i must join in here too ds 3m now, definately need to shift extra 5stones put for the last 2 pregnancy

katybump · 23/11/2007 23:43

pollywollybauble you need a fart flap . like a cat flap pmsl

my dh is very tidy.he didn't like his nails making a mess when he cut them.he found an empty ferrero roche box and put the clippings in it.he has now been collecting them for 18 years
it's gross.my dcs collect their nails and add them to his collection!

did warn you

Carnival · 23/11/2007 23:45

KB - I know, I'm obsessed with Christmas and just expect others are the same. I've got everything in and wrapped and have done for ages (it's unnatural - I try not to talk about it, it is a shameful affliction). My excuse, or part of it, is that DD's birthday is 4 days before, so I do need to be a shade more organised. And now I'm planning the shopping list...it's not right.

PWB - hadn't heard of fartpads or fartpants, both worth some serious consideration. If cattle gas is 14% of the global gases, I wonder what MN dieters percentage is? At least 1%, I'd say.

pollywollybauble · 23/11/2007 23:47

that is the funniest thing i have read all night...on that note i'm going to bed

BTW hello diva

pollywollybauble · 23/11/2007 23:50

www.under-tec.com/index.php
their slogan is "wear them for the one you love"

it was the idea of the clipping collection that made me wet myself BTW

Carnival · 23/11/2007 23:53

I'm rubbish at this, it takes me so long to type that I miss the boat on the conversation. I should change my name to 'missed the bus' or 'slow boat' or something.

Welcome DM - I think I want to lose another 2 stones, my tummy is the problem area. Since DD it seems to have split into 2 distinct sides which meet in a very unattractive line under my my belly button. It had mostly gone and then I put the .7 back on and could kick myself.

Anyhoo, won't beat myself up about it, but will get it back off.

Are you going to use a particular plan or just cut back?

katybump · 23/11/2007 23:53

carnival... i love christmas ,the shopping and everything

hiya diva welcome to the madhouse x

katybump · 24/11/2007 00:01

i can just imagine dh 's face if i gave him a pair of those for xmas he is not getting chocs though" mmmmm dh with those toenails you are really spoiling us" said in a really naff accent just doesn't cut it somehow

unlike a few on this thread who seem to cut one now and again

am really going to bed now

katybump · 24/11/2007 00:04

susiecutie.. hope you are curled up with dh
see you all in the morning

mylittlepudding · 24/11/2007 06:11

Yeeeeeugh katy - too early in the morning for such visions! I will only let nails be cut in the bathroom in this house, I have a bit of a thing about it. (I know I'm weird)

I am currently letting dd pull out the contents of dp's briefcase which he has left open on the floor, to teach him a lesson. That's fair, no?

Polly - lots of hugs - (I know hugs aren't particularly MN, but hey, there's a time and a place sometimes) it must be grim in so many ways and to have your bit of denial for coping stripped away from you is unfair.

Carnival welcome! My dp is similar, when working he doesn't eat that much in the day, so has to eat his whole calorific intake in the evening. Fortunately he mostly eats things I don't like.

I am feeling much better this morning even though it's silly o'clock and we're up, sorry for the rant last night. Think the little guy will be home today.

katybump · 24/11/2007 08:33

glad your nephew is getting better mylittlepudding and rant away.that's what we are here for
it's freezing here today, whats evetyone up to?

susiecutiemincepies · 24/11/2007 10:48

Hi girls

About 5 minutes after my last post, I heard the key in the door!!! I nearly fell off the sofa with shock! i looked like this see?

Dh had been telling little porkies, and was really near when he called... norty. I was mortified, I looked like shit! I ALWAYS make a huge effort for him to come home too, so he remembers what he's been missing

so i gave him a squeeze, didn't look at him and scarped ( tres slowly) into bathroom. washed my face applied appropriate amount of 'natural' makeup. he was still standing quite bewildered in the front room. He aid he had wondered if I was ushering another man out of the bathroom window. Anyway, apparently he'd been looking forward to just seeing me and looking at my eyes. awwwwwww (passes round the sick bucket )

I LOVE it when he surprise me like that though. even though i didnt look my best. My face is swollen on one side, where the abscess is.

So today

Breakie: Grilled bacon, poached eggs and beans and 1 slice of toast.
Lunch: erm.... not sure!
Dinner: a friend is cooking so again, no idea!

Off to fit a shower for my best friend this arvo. fingers crossed, if DH feels better. He's asleep on me at the moment feeling really horrible.

Take care girls. Oh, this was a long one!

katybump · 24/11/2007 10:58

yay mr.susie ,have agreat weekend

spottyshoes · 24/11/2007 18:55

Hiya everyone i'm baaaaaack!

Totally knackered and quite bored, lots of washing up, nights in with the kids and IACGMOOH whilst hubby boozed in the sports bar! Drank lots of wine, ate cakes and choccy and crisps but did some bellydancing, rollerskating, swimming and walking. It seemed to even itself out quite well though as I have only put on 1lb which I am really pleased about (usually 7lbs after hols).

So I am back to half a stone lost. Going to start in earnest on monday (hubs birthday tmrw so big roast and wine planned) and hopefully will keep my 1/2 stone off and lose more for Chrimbo!

Ra ra Katybumpers. Hope you have all been well. Off to catch up with the rest of the thread.
x

katybump · 24/11/2007 19:25

welcome back spottyshoes!

spottyshoes · 25/11/2007 20:29

Thanks Tangerine & Katy, how you been?

Well I'm spotty by name and spotty by nature tonight. Lounging in bed in spotty pj's after a hard days graft running round pampering dh - am knackered AND I have a spot on my chin - argh! Must be from the sugar overload this week

Brekkie: Just Right cereal
Lunch: Roast Beef, Potatos - small mashed & 2 roast, 3 yorkies, carrots, brocolli, sprouts, peas, proper gravy
Pud: birthday cakeS (both choc & lemon drizzle as couldnt choose!)
Dinner: Cold slice of beef

2 glasses of red wine so far. Hubs is surgically atached to his new ps3 so I wont be getting anythinj other than half grunts from him tonight! MN and Men in Black it is then.....

susiecutiemincepies · 25/11/2007 20:45

SPotty!!!!!!!!! welcome home

Sounds like you did ok really considering holiday from diet too... well done I think

Mr Cutie has just gone Izzy not very well again... chest is really awful. I hope to god it doesn't get as bad as it did last week. Going to GP first thing to get them to listen to it. SOunds much more chesty/phlegmy this time.

we are moving in three weeks I cannot believe it! We've no time at all to pack. And one of the weekends ahead is my birthday and my niece's birthday, so we have to right off that one.

So, anyone fancy popping over to help pack, then maybe carry some boxes??? .... please ^^

Ate really well yesterday as it turns out
Arrived eventually at my best friends house, and started on the shower. ( Mr Cutie did ) and then we had 'high tea'. I onl had half a crumpet and a teeny slice of homemade ginger cake.
Dinner: Lamb Stew with mushrooms, chestnuts and all sorts of lovely things, but really not too heavy and SO tasty , Roasted beetroots, roasted celeriac with butternut squash and roasted garlic. All SO tasty, no potatos, all really healthy stuff. I resisted pudding too

Today: Breaky: none, was feeling too poorly.
Mids: Banana and apple
Lunch/ dinner: home made curry and small bit of naan.

snacks :
apples, and manderine and lots of lockets and simple linctus. oh, and a chocolate and caramel snack a jack. I can really recommnd them, and they are not too bad saturated fat wise... certainly better than most things of that ilk.

Hope you are all well ladys. Polly??? where are you lovely???
good to see you all around again. No one allowed away until christmas now, ok?
