pollywollybauble · 15/11/2007 22:02

oh spottyshoes it isn't fair.....you've been positively frugal!....not as frugal as that katybump tho'(teachers pet she is )

katybump · 15/11/2007 22:27

just setting a good example pmsl
seriously though,i'm only being good because i want to look better than my sister at my new years party.it's shitty always being known as the fat twin . i was thinner than her a couple of years ago but then slipped down the slope again.i'm determined not to be the large butt of everyones jokes when the photo's do the rounds next time.
ok,boring story over.dd has just gone to sleep so i'm going to have a glass of wine
mmmmmmm and maybe another
told you i 'm thirsty

susiecutiemincepies · 15/11/2007 23:00

Hi lovely ladies.
I've not long got back from A&E with isobel. She ecame suddenly very very wheezy, coughing and unable to catch her breath. turned cyanotic. So scared. got ambualnce to a&e and were admitted, but she perked up so much we were able to come home as i was too sore to stay on their crappy z beds...

I cold do with your advise too really here

not sure the best thing to do... I'm also feeling terribly emotional and upset about it all.

sorry

hope you are all ok? I havent eaten today really, oh, except for a very virtuous cup as soup and apple just before she got poorly!

susiecutiemincepies · 15/11/2007 23:01

could
sorry, lots of typos.

MALO · 15/11/2007 23:08

Hi susie...wish I could help in some way. It must be so difficult for you and such a worry. xxxx

susiecutiemincepies · 15/11/2007 23:45

Thank you MALO. it is a bit shitty st the moment TBH... it will get better though i hope

katybump · 16/11/2007 07:32

susiecutie .how is isobel this morning? how are you? thinking of you xx

spottyshoes · 16/11/2007 09:30

Sounds like a traumatic nigh for you SusieC . Hope dd is feeling better and you're not too stressed out. x

I'm not too cross about not losing this week Polly (frugal is not in my vocab!) although it would have been nice as I'm going on holiday with that skinny minnie size 8er on Monday - am really not looking forward to the swimming

'ark at you teachers pet Katy! You have my admiration as I couldnt do slimfast without getting so hungry I'd want to eat my own arm! You'll definately be a really slinky minky be Christmas.

We moved B'shoes into his own room last night he went to sleep at 7 after only 10 mins CC which was great but then got up at 12, 1.30, 2.30 & 5 argghhhh! Was so tempted to take him back to my bed and feed him to sleep but perservered and it only took about 10 mins eachtime to settle! I feel like we are making a bit of progress! I may have had a really broken night but the sleep I had was sooooo good stretched out without baby kicking me

Off to storytime, have a good day ladies!

susiecutiemincepies · 16/11/2007 13:28

HI girls

Terrible night. She's really rotten again today. wont crawl or eat ir anyhting, just sitting on the chair holding penelope ( her cuddly rabbit) she cant even be tempted by chocolate buttons

I however, have LOST 4lbs I ought to be very pleased.. but with everything else, i'm not as elated as i thought i'd be!

hope you are all ok. spotty sounds like you are doing really well there with the sleep... any progress is fantastic. I'll certainly be back to it when she's better.

Any thoughts on something nice i could offer her to eat? anything your DC take even when poorly? I just want her to get something into her. Shes not really taking my milk either.

Better get back to her, shes started coughing again. It makes her panic so much when she cant catch her breath that it makes her worse. Not too sure what to do about that. I just cuddle her and rub her back until she relaxes al little then she breaths properly again. poor little girl doesnt know whats going on when he starts to cough.

catch oyu all later.

katybump · 16/11/2007 13:54

well done on your 4 pounds susiecutie(we will celebrate when your little one is better x)
have you tried yoghurt?maybe something cold.her throat could be hurting due to all the coughing.poor little thing.x

pollywollybauble · 16/11/2007 16:37

sorry to hear about isobel susie....my dd can always manage ice cream, custard, stewed apples and for some reason porridge (but only her dads)

my asthma always gets worse with things like paint or glue fumes....don't know specifically about damp proofing but i would assume it is that(maybe plus an infection until proven otherwise. could you stay with your mum for a bit?

didn't know you were going on holiday spottyshoes...i assume it is not in this country if swimmies are involved...,.anyway size 8 is so passe (orf you f*ck size 8'ers!)

anyway today
brekkie...crumpets and marmite.apple

lunch crumpets and stilton toasted, orange

eve will be macaroni cheese and roasted veg
then the lovely cappuccino

spottyshoes · 16/11/2007 17:05

Yay SusieC! Well done - I know your not in a place to appreciate it at the mo - but you lost 4 lbs!!!

Sadly no Polly - Center Parcs It was the reason I joined the thread - 6 weeks from 1st OCt to lose the stone!

If I'm honest i'm dreading it a bit, dh booked it before Babyshoes was born without telling me. I can see his thinking i.e not wanting to travel with a wee 'un but I would have much prefered to have put the money towards a better holiday next year. You know, with sun, a beach and all inclusive so I actually get a holiday rather than a busmans one still having to do all the cooking

Thats sounds so ungrateful, i'm sure it will be lovely.

mylittlefreya · 16/11/2007 19:47

susie hoping Isobel gets lots better soon. And 4lb! Woohoo!

spottyshoes I hope you get some nice family time if nothing else. Is your DH good (how terrible does that sound?!) as in, will he help you while you're away so you do get some rest? Hoping babyshoes sleeping keeps getting better

I am back in the land of the living today. Thankfully. I think that was full on man-dysentery I just had, I do apologise. I passed out yesterday in the shower which gave us all a fright, a bit too dehydrated methinks.

Today:
small bowl of shreddies

ham and salad sandwich - shared with the baby girl!

just eating a small amount of chicken/brown rice/lemon/green veg but have undercooked the rice, seem to have lost the ability to cook as well in a few days of not eating!

katybump · 16/11/2007 19:51

mylittlefreya that must have been really scary.glad your ok x we likehaving you around

spottyshoes · 16/11/2007 19:56

Hi Mylittlefreya Glad your feeling a bit better but you shouldnt have to cook during your recovery tut tut - dont you have a man servant you can call on???

DH pretends to be good but fails miserably - he has already informed me he has signed up for a load of 'boys activities' with his friend we're going with, and wants to go out drinking all evenings leaving me on my tod with b'shoes and SS well it is his only holiday this year you know

Brekkie: Optivia with berries, piece of toast
Lunch: Leftover Shepherd pie & veg
PM T: Stewed apple with cinnamon
Dinner: Half a hawian pizza
Lots of water.

mylittlefreya · 16/11/2007 20:10

Sadly he is out, and likely to return late and not in a good state!

I'm so pathetic when I'm ill aren't I.

I hope he MAKES time for you to have time off, spottyshoes, am for you if he doesn't.

katybump · 16/11/2007 20:40

mylittlefreya YOU ARE NOT PATHETIC WHEN YOU ARE ILL!!!
men get ill and the world stops.women get ill and we ever so politely fit in our bouts of sick/poo inbetween looking after dc's and making sure the housework is done
sorry rant over.but i'm not lying am i

pollywollybauble · 16/11/2007 22:30

go katy, go katy!

MLF you shouldn't be cooking for 48 hours after your last runny poo....it's the law you know!.....actually tell him he might catch something off you and he'll be down the chippy quicker than you can say what about the c-a-l-o-r-i-e-s......

spottyshoes don't they do those pamper things at centre parcs....ahem i see at least 1 bookable night out for you....and then there must be things you and the 8'er could do....feed her until she pops(tee hee) oh and go on cooking strike....if he can buy beer, he can take you all out!

susie hope dh is home and things have settled a bit

spottyshoes · 16/11/2007 23:35

susiecutiemincepies · 17/11/2007 00:54

Hi all.
DH not home farking bloody bastard shity job. I HATE IT.
fingers crossed tomorrow will bring us DH and a better day for Isobel.
She is looking so awful. She sounds like a blocked up old organ pipe just now, wheezing and squeaking. White as a sheet with purple bags under her eyes. you know the look, i'm sure

If he isnt home tomorrow, we are going to stay with my brother. The fumes are gone practically, but I'm SO tired, i'm coping less than usual. so i need some respite myself, and looking after. Big brother has ordered me over there if Dh isn't home. They're sending a cab for me. will cost a fortune, but, hes paying

i've done well today. Not had time to eat much, and not elt up to it anyway. So made myself have a cup a soup, 2 apples and a mug of hot milk.
oh, and i tried Isobel with some hot sweet stewed apple and custard, and she had a good amount of it. All she's had all day though. mianly the custard, the apple was self removed...

oh, and on top of it all, she has her first tooth just poking through!! I can see the line of the surface of it, and can feel it too.! So pleased!

Anyway, night night all.
MLF: I do hope you feel stronger tomorrow, and for gods sake, make DH cook... or threaten him with it too
Katy: Rant away lovely, it is all true
Polly: keep up the crumpets love hope you do alright at the sale tomorrow.

katybump · 17/11/2007 09:36

susiecutie
i am so pleased that someone is going to be taking care of you for a few days.i hope your dh comes home but if not your brother is fantastic .poor isobel x bet her tooth coming through won't be helping her but how exciting!
i keep singing to dd "all i want for christmas is my two front teeth" but no such luck for her yet

spottyshoes · 17/11/2007 19:33

We're still waiting for B'shoes as well Katy, 4 on the bottom, 0 on the top! Maybe for Christmas....

Hope dd is still getting better SusieC, do you know if dh is going to be home yet?

Brekkie: Optivia with berries & banana
11'ses: None
