Welcome to the new thread!

OP posts:

Polly, you wonderful woman, I have put a thin pillow under her sheepskin. Its raised her enough, but not too much... i fully expect it to be lobbed at me when she next wakes up, but for now, its doing the trick.

spottyshoes · 14/11/2007 09:36

Yes he finally shut up after 1.5 hrs and didnt cry at all when he got up at 3.30. I'm storing the pillow idea away for when he next has a cold Polly! So much easier than messing around with the yellow pages and cot!

Getting to sleep initially at bedtime with CC has been fine. 1st day 1hr 10, 2nd, 35 mins, 3rd, 15mins and last night 3 mins! so that definately works and fairly quickly I thought! It's just when he wakes in the evening we seem to have issues but I'm sure it wont take long.

I hope you had a better night SusieC, I spent the 1st month with B'Shoes sleeping propped up on me - such a nightmare!

Managed to avoid all munchies Last night . But did have a double brekkie this morning

Off to drag my sleep deprived self off to kickboxing!

Catch up with you all later x

katybump · 14/11/2007 18:42

way to go with the sleeping spottyshoes
how's everyone getting on today?

i've had
breakfast....slimfast shake
lunch...ham salad pitta
dinner....slimfast shake

had fruit for snacks and loads of water,so a good day for me

spottyshoes · 14/11/2007 21:05

Brekkie: small Optivia with berries
2nd brekkie: piece of toast & fruit juice
Lunch: Ravioli
PM T: Teency slice of cake
Dinner: Nothing thanks to dh

Made some fab fajitas tonight but dh managed to spill mine everywhere - he seems to make a habit of it the clumsy oaf! So nothing for me and I'm famished but will resist! It will probably do me good to skip a meal

B'shoes is currently sleeping but i'm in the spare room as I disturb him if i'm anywhere near him! Hubby was supposed to be moving the cot upstairs to the nursery today but didnt....hmm, i'm sensing an incompetence vibe going on here hubby

Am weighing in again tomorrow

pollywollybauble · 14/11/2007 21:05

well done katyb....you get a shake of the golden pompoms....and for going kickboxing after a crap night, spottyshoes you get a shake of the platinum ones!

glad the pillow helped susiec.....didn't like to say last night but your comment about putting her out with the badgers made me laugh!

i'm currently giggling at a character on armstrong and miller who is very posh and says "off you f*ck" to everyone in an "off you pop" stylie

was doing all right today
brekkie...2 crumpets with marmite
lunch....2 crumpets with a bit of white stilton and apricots. apple. coffee
eve......2 crumpetsleek and potato bake and green beans. a bit of choc ice cream

after putting dd to bed decided i was still hungry and have had a veggie burger and salad in a pitta and a cappuccino

have got in the medium sliced bread and am also going to try to reduce my cappuccino intake by going back to ordinary tea and coffee [sob]

pollywollybauble · 14/11/2007 21:07

obviously i haven't got the hang of crossing things out!....i didn't have crumpets again this eve...felt i needed a bit of variety

spottyshoes · 14/11/2007 21:08

Oh god! Finally tuned in to Celebrity and my 17 yr old crush on the guy from 5 is officially over!!!

May not watch it this year as that Kangarillapig from the apprentice is in there

pollywollybauble · 14/11/2007 21:10

is that that katy woman.....wasn't her make up something to behold ....is she still wearing it???

pollywollybauble · 14/11/2007 21:11

actually don't answer i don't want to be sucked in ti IACGMOOH again (usually last 3 or 4 weeks until i am....)

pollywollybauble · 14/11/2007 21:13

ah but spotty would the guy from 5 drop your fajitas??

spottyshoes · 14/11/2007 21:19

PMSL - that is going to be my phrase of the month "Owf you fark everyone" Love it

.....Does Polly like crumpets I wonder?

Have you tried them pizza style? Mix grated cheese, sandwich pickle, blob of marj/butter, ketchup, spread on and grill until bubbling - yum (we need a yum emoticon!)

I'm going to graciously accept those platinum shaking pom poms as I was knacked throughout - did a load of stomach crunchies-with-weights style self mutilation - 20 mins worth (she's a bloomin slave driver that trainer!)

Owf I fark to browse the boards....

spottyshoes · 14/11/2007 21:20

Bet he bloody wouldnt but id take a fajita drop over a a bit of 'wombat lovin' anyday

spottyshoes · 14/11/2007 21:24

OMG Polly! Just re-read your post and noticed you're dropping the Caps!!???

Must admit I have done that recently and have noticed the difference!

pollywollybauble · 14/11/2007 21:32

mmm...this time it's serious!!

spottyshoes · 14/11/2007 21:35

I admire the dedication. I ate some crap last week, dropped them and dropped some lbs but then again I can drink several a day...

pollywollybauble · 14/11/2007 21:38

ditto...one day i had 4 and thought well thats a meal really....they have to go back to treat status!

pollywollybauble · 14/11/2007 21:42

better go and do the ironing ....hope you have a quieter night.

mylittlefreya · 15/11/2007 06:43

I'm back. At least, I think I am. I begged DP to take the night off work but then ended up getting up all night with dd anyway
I feel less crap than I did, bottom end still runny but not every 5 minutes, not vomiting, kept down half a bagel this morning which is much better. Just feel... weak? pathetic? whichever, WE ARE NOT HAVING ANY MORE BABIES that's for sure.

spottyshoes you are doing great with sorting out babyshoes' sleep, I have ummed and ahhed about DDs and it's hell, and I don't have an older one, which must make it much harder and much more important. Thinking of you.

pollywollybauble dropping the cappuccino is very brave! this must be business! maybe you could have one or two a week for good behaviour (or will that be a slippery slope?)

susiec hope little Isobel gets well soon.

yesterday I had a small piece of baguette and some full sugar flat lemonade. I bet I put whatever this drops off me straight back on.

What an essay - sorry!

mylittlefreya · 15/11/2007 06:44

Meant to add - katy am in awe!!! I couldn't stick to that kind of self discipline! definitely golden pompoms for you!

pollywollybauble · 15/11/2007 10:23

ah but when the runs have stopped you can briefly enjoy the feeling of having an empty bowel and relatively flat stomach.....

until the old appetite returns with a vengeance....good luck with cxontrolling the beast (the appetite not dh BTW)

dh sounds like he was being a bit of a bugger....makes you hope he gets man-cholera in the near future!

i wish to say to all and sundry that i am not giving up the capps but limiting them (hopefully) to one a day tops.....i really find that if i have one in the evening it helps me stop nibbling...so it's worth me having one then

anyway this seemingly endless bagging up for the nct sale has to be finished (can't remember who asked but theres a list of all nct sales on the nct website)

so "orf i f*ck"

katybump · 15/11/2007 14:04

Good to hear you're getting a bit better Mylittlefreya

Congratulations on getting your wii Katy - dont get too addicted though - we want you on here sometimes too

None mover for me this week - I dont really get the logic behind losing weight, the weeks I eat junk I lose and the times I'm relatively good I dont

11'ses Banana & Pear
Lunch: 2 x Chicken Fajita Tortillas (with more veg than chicken)
Dinner: Shepherds Pie & Veg

katybump · 15/11/2007 21:08

spottyshoes · 15/11/2007 21:16

Oh I see. Pad the floorboards if they play it upstairs - The thuds and crashes you get are unbelievable! lol

Aren't you hungry on the slimfast?
