Welcome to the new thread!

OP posts:
katybump · 13/11/2007 12:10

oh susiecutie
definately the lack of mobility ,your diet is ok considering what life throws at you.
onwards and downwards [scales wise] chicken,we are all here for you xx

go go go lets be slim by christmas

pollywollybauble · 13/11/2007 12:12

oh susie

don't beat yourself up....and don't go mad and deprive yourself ....that way madness and bingeing lie....

if it helps....and it may not....i've found it helps me just to eat regularly, roughly the same things and at the same time each day and my body is starting to get used to it (though my mouth is quite happy to chomp
at other times!)

keep going.....and next time we'll have a (smaller) celebratory cuddle

susiecutiebananas · 13/11/2007 12:17

Thank you both, SO much, really made me feel better, I realy mean it THANK YOU! I was feeling really terribly down, but not so bad now... wow this thread is great, you are all great!

pollywollybauble · 13/11/2007 12:36

i know! [preen and twirl]

pollywollybauble · 13/11/2007 12:37

better go and bag stuff up for the NCT sale....boring job but it brings in useful pre xmas cash...

LoveAngelGabriel · 13/11/2007 15:10

Afternoon all. I've just had a vanilla cream slice with my cup of tea which totally sabotages my otherwise healthy day of porridge for brekkie and sweet potato & salad for lunch ...ah well, I went on a long walk this morning and will do it again tomorrow to burn off that luscious flakey puff pastry ((licks lips))

susiecutie - cherrypie 'mmmmmm yummmm' is all I have to say! Don't beat yourself up about the (tiny) gain. You can fix that soon enough (and I'll be joining you in being virtuopus after that vanilla slice) :-)

spottyshoes - PMSL @ stripping off in Starbucks! 'Can I have a double chocca mocha frappucino, please?' (LoveAngel whips off winter coat to reveal nekkid jelly belly wobbling unsexily beneath) (whispers) '...actually, make that a samll skinny latter, thanks!' lol

katybump - yes! This morning I put my swish new velvet coat on and went striding down the high street feeling glam. On the way home it started to rain> I was sheltering under the awning ogf a clothes shop gazing at the windown display when I suddenly caught sight of this ghostly white fright with a semi-double chin staring back at me. And I thought Halloweeen was long over!

shakes pom poms Rah rah rah!

katybump · 13/11/2007 15:37

loveangelgabriel...naughty on the cake front but pmsl at you catching sight of your reflection.how come we never catch a glimpse and say"damn i look good!"
ok ,aim for the week...find an outfit you feel good in and put it on,now swan around the house/shops/work/wherever and hold your head high!we are sexy, funny, intelligent and strong.we are on this journey for ourselves not to please anyone else.be proud of who you are and what you have achieved!!we can do this and we are doing it,take each day as it comes and leave yesterday behind,it's over and done so look forward
gggggggoooooooooooooo bumpers ra ra ra !!!!!

mylittlefreya · 13/11/2007 18:01

susie big hugs, I am sure it is likely to be mobility - it makes a huge difference

I am sick. D+V and raging temperature since last night. DP had to stay home and look after DD today, it's been that bad (cue lots of moaning and "how am I supposed to get dressed if I am looking after her?").

I have eaten a bagel and some dry toast but they have both come back up. I won't give the TMI details on the other end...

Feel really rough and reliving the glories (or should that be horrors) of my pregnancy too.

katybump · 13/11/2007 18:16

poor you mylittlefreya x hope your feeling better soon xx

spottyshoes · 13/11/2007 19:18

Oh I totally missed I'm a celebrity - anyone insane interesting in this time?

Aw SusieC dont lose heart, your mobility will be doing it. I'm sure if you are extra good next week you'll lose it all plus more!

Oh you poor thing mylittlefreya - does not sound at all nice! Hope you feel better soon. x

Loveangel - that is exactly how I pictured it!!!

Hiya Katy & Polly

Hope everyone is ok this evening

spottyshoes · 13/11/2007 19:20

Like the new Christmassy name L.A Gabriel! Can anyone think of a good one for me? I'm shite at things like that - hence my absence of a spooky halloween one

katybump · 13/11/2007 19:35

spottyshoes...i'm thinking
gemma atkinson and j from 5 are gonna get it on.i'll put money on it lol
i want a christmassy name too

spottyshoes · 13/11/2007 19:48

God I used to think he was cute many moons ago

susiecutiebananas · 13/11/2007 20:19

Thanks again girls. I cant tell you how much it helps to have a bit of support. It gets SO lonely here for me at times.

Usually, when i feel really down, i'm quite the opposite with food, and go off it. I seem to be the opposite just now. Partly i think due to being genuinely hungry still feeding Isobel, and secondly I dont have much other comfort and pleasure at the moment... dont mean to sound so pathetic, but i just want to eat lovely food to cheer me up. Feeling down abut putting on weight doesnt help though, So, i really am going to make more effort. I have to , for myself.
The other problem I have is not being able to stand up for long to cook, so its been quick easy food ( which tends to be norty stuff)
I'm going to get really organised this weekend. Cook with Mr Cutie, and freeze meals for me and Isobel. He can do all the stirring and standing and chopping... well, the cooking actually!

sorry for the essay... needed to off load a little.

Mr Cutie is on his way to Sunderland now. so is SO SO far away.

Watching autumn watch, cheerling me up alot!

susiecutiebananas · 13/11/2007 20:26

sorry, meant to say mylittlegfreya hope it passes ( literally ) soon. Awful those bugs can be, the ONLY positive in the horible negative is you might loose a pound or two...

Spotty who or what are 5 ?
polly Where is the sale? I'm sure we have them this way, but no idea how to find out... could do with a clear out and to get some cash!

I\ve just promised a load of our stuff to a friend whos expecting in Feb. She's going to store it after her use, for next time ( ) for me!

katybump · 13/11/2007 20:27

susiecutie wish i lived nearer,i'd come round and cheer you up xx

susiecutiebananas · 13/11/2007 20:43

ah, thanks katy I'm often up your way... mr cutie has 3 sites running there at the moment. Dont think we'll be up with him for a while so will prob be sunderland next for us.
We spent the last 5 months or so traveling up and down on the train to be together. not sure Isobel would be too good now at the travel.

katybump · 13/11/2007 21:28

wouldn't fancy 5hrs on a train without a baby ,never mind with one!
spottyshoes...still thinking of a christmas name for you........wanders off mumbling

pollywollybauble · 13/11/2007 21:33

sorry you're not well mylittlefreya, it seems to come as a huge shock to my other half when he first had to juggle his and dd's needs....he's much better now though....it's just been practice, so make sure he gets some

whereabout are you susie.....anywhere near brum?

anyway i have had 2 bits (mere fragments) of cake today and very nice they were too

brekkie...2 crumpets and marmite
mids.....half slice of fruit cake
lunch....low fat cheese and salad sarnie. cappuccino

katybump · 13/11/2007 21:37

pollywollybauble i'm liking your name and love sparklyshoes not to sure about katyxmasjumper makes me feel frumpy
i shall keep thinking x

spottyshoes · 13/11/2007 22:39

I'm so hungry and have a baby who wont f£$%$%^£$%GGGGGG shut uuuuuuup!

He is frustrating me so much! We have been doing controlled crying for 4 nights and it is doing my head in I am sooooo tired.

Being up all the time is making me really hungry for some reason and I'm so tired in the day I just want to eat crap

katybump · 13/11/2007 22:47

don't give up spottyshoes xx it'll be worth it.i did the shush pat thing a couple of weeks ago and although dd still wakes in the night she seems easier to settle now.

katybump · 13/11/2007 22:50

being tired will make you hungry.could you catch up during the day?i know it's not easy but we are all here for you to let off steam xx

susiecutiemincepies · 13/11/2007 23:55

Spotty, my dd is EXACTLY the same... i was making headway AGAIN with 'sleep training' and now she's ill, i've stopped for now. every time she lays flat she coughs until she's sick.
I cannot raise her cot end up, due to my back. If i raise her matress she just climbs up it and nearly over the top... I dont know what to do. I let her fall asleep upright no me just now, and as soon as i put her down again, she was coughing/crying.
I'm at hte end of my tether now. want to put her in the garden with the badgers.

I've just spoken to Mr Cutie about putting her on a train paddington bear style, but he says i'll be locked up...

he'd better be home on friday night or else....

pollywollybauble · 14/11/2007 00:34

big cuddles all round....

sorry you are having a rough time spotty.hope babyshoes is quiet now.

susie is your dd too young for a pillow (sorry can't remember)maybe under the sheet
