@lifelongfrugaleer

That's why I have chopped onions and pepper in the freezer. Sounds lovely
Oh I can't wait to have a decent fridge freezer once more, I've got such limited space I can't fit this kind of stuff! One drawer full of veg but not those. This is one I'm removing two upper cupboards and one lower cupboard in order to fit it. Whenever the purchase of house goes through.

Love satay too em used a sachet last week thinking I was treating myself, no taste of nuts at all from it Sad

Finished last of my frozen berries this morning em
I've found the smoothie sachets are great for having with my yogurt too for variety. Has anyone had success freezing pineapple themselves? With dm in my house stove is on all day and my pineapple stored in lunchbox didn't last long

Happierwithouthim · 20/01/2021 10:39

I'd bought it for 49 c so if I could freeze it it would be great.

Happierwithouthim · 20/01/2021 11:29

Weight back down to 178 again today

ememem84 · 20/01/2021 11:45

never actually tried to freeze pineapple happier we tend to buy it and eat it same day - ds thinks they're hilarious and loves them!

if i was to try i guess i'd freeze on a tray on some baking paper, and then chuck into a bag once frozen so it didnt all clump together. if you're only going to use it for smoothies does it matter it it falls apart?

i love pineapple fried rice. its so yum.

i also made my own satay sauce - peanut butter (chunky one) loads of garlic, lime juice soy and some stock. and a good whack of chili. then garnish whatever with spring onions and more peanuts. mmmmmmm

Happierwithouthim · 20/01/2021 12:34

I am totally against hot pineapple Grin

I like to make satay using coconut milk for that creamy yumminess.

Ya I'd be thinking that too with the pineapple.

Dc are very poor for fruit lately.

Not2bObvious · 20/01/2021 13:22

Big fan of frozen garlic/chilli/ginger/onion, find it hard to get peppers though unless I go to Iceland. Down 1lb this morning despite eating all my feelings last night.
Back mostly on track today. Only 4500 steps so far but I hope to fix it later. I think I'll leave working out until tomorrow. Have to do shopping for us & elderly parent, such fun...not. Feel much brighter today despite the dismal weather so that's good

no hot pineapple is ace. especially when its caramelised and thrown on ice cream. mmmm.

we just had jerk quorn wraps for lunch and sweet potato fries (have started trying to have bigger lunches whilst wfh and smaller dinners). in the wrap filling was quorn, garlic, onions, mango, yellow peppers, and hjerk seasoning). yummmmm

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/01/2021 14:21

This mam goes to Iceland and has 2 freezers (sorry)
Not sure about pineapple. It's ok on pizza hot that's it

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/01/2021 14:22

I. Going to add satay to my list. I have dried PB powder

ememem84 · 20/01/2021 15:19

Next time you make fried rice try adding it. It’s yum. Humour me.

Mrsmadevans · 20/01/2021 16:08

Em l will humour you and try it but it doesn't sound as if it is going to be nice Grin

Although I'm ok with it carmelised in an upside down cake. so perhaps Hmm

life this mam had an 8 drawer larder freezer and went to 2.5 smaller drawers for 12 months, serious cravings for batch cooking etc!!

mad on irish news yesterday a family in Roscommon closed up their house for good after being flooded for third year in a row

Not2bObvious · 20/01/2021 18:05

That's shocking happier, that poor family must have been sick of it - I didn't see it, I'm avoiding the news as my TV might end up getting an axe thrown at it these days.
Dragged myself kicking/screaming into good behaviour. Nearly 13,000, just under 1200 so room for a treat.
After my complaining I couldn't find frozen peppers, I got a pack in aldi, great for my Asian cooking.

You win happier Grin hope you get your drawers back soon.

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/01/2021 18:35

Stay safe in the wet

Mrsmadevans · 20/01/2021 18:35

Happier that poor family bless them so horrible Sad
Well done Not for being so disciplined Smile
Have just made a minced beef pie it's in the oven and l have to resist it , flaky pastry and all Hmm Grin

Not2bObvious · 20/01/2021 19:35

Omg - I love pie!!! Are you not having some? I hope you mean you're not having it yet or I'll be devo for you (Dublin speak for devastated!)
Got my 15,000 - hit 1400 cals, not sure if I'll leave it there but I feel satisfied so I might, it'd go a ways towards offsetting yesterday, I keep remembering other bits I inhaled yesterday. Why oh why do I eat my feelings? And I could have easily have done it again today, the kids actually put us off having takeaway

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 20/01/2021 20:27

Not l won't eat it Halo , l have made it for my MumBob for tomorrow, l also made a blackcurrent jam turnover for Dh , he loves them Grin
You have great kids ! Smile

Gensola · 20/01/2021 20:35

I like pineapple on pizza, preferably with onion! Grin
I am on 11,000 steps and about to go for a quick walk with DH to get my 15,000. Did a spin class after work but wasted three hours in the middle of the day having to go back into work to get a book I forgot and then I lost my car keys. Was absolutely furious with myself!
mrs all your bakes sound delish! DH wants me to make him a lemon drizzle after watching nigella make one with about 18 blocks of butter in but I am stalling as I know I will eat it too!
Weighing tomorrow as AF has buggered off.

ememem84 · 20/01/2021 21:22

Yes gen! Pineapple cheese onion and ham on a pizza is the bomb!!!!

Dh hates it on pizza. He also hates it in cheese toasties. He’s wierd. But mango in a wrap is ok.

He also did a jamie oliver recipe a while ago for tuna cheese wraps which had thinly sliced apple in them. I was skeptical. But yum. Added a bit more freshness.

Anyway. Pilates via zoom done. Catface sat on my
Mat the majority of the time and refused to move. And just glared at me. Twat.

Happierwithouthim · 21/01/2021 07:47

Coronation chicken with apple and sultanas is the bomb too

Not2bObvious · 21/01/2021 11:32

Started the day with 40 min body pump but only used light hand weights, easing my way in. Then an hour on the treadmill got me my 9,500 - nearly at 11,000 after quick potter around the shops. Scales down .4, so pretty much the same weight as last Thursday. Hoping for a drop in the morning before the weekend. Pretty nice day here, should brighten the mood.

Happierwithouthim · 21/01/2021 12:46

Good work not
My walk yesterday got cancelled because there were hailstones! If I hadn't watched Donal Skehan's programme with dd I'd have got it done it was dry then!

Scales dropped by 0.25 but improved my happy scale results Grin

Linda McCartney sausages in aldi bloomer wholemeal bread
Glenisk quark yogurt and a banana
Bacon medallion, salad, cheese & coleslaw sandwich(ham was gone off it was meant to be a ham sandwich) with a pear for lunch
Dinner is lasagne with actifry chips.

I'm eyeing up lidl's airfryer €32.99, I don't need it though Grin

Not2bObvious · 21/01/2021 15:06

That's great seeing the happy scales go down, mine is creeping very slowly.
I'm wrecked after my early morning madness, house feels like it's piggy dirty too and I haven't a pick of energy. Snuck in a mini pack of sweets, need to tie my hands or I'll go through the press grazing
