DH is making roast chicken, braised red cabbage, roast carrots and parsnips, crushed potatoes and steamed spring greens. Can't wait!! We are having red wine with it as Dry Jan is in the bin Grin but not going to drink in the week. Tbh getting to the 10th Jan and only having had two drinks is a major improvement on December.

Not2bObvious · 10/01/2021 19:06

Well done on the dry'enough January gen
I'm just thrilled I didn't drink today, feels like a positive move. Just over 16,000 steps, just about sticking to 1800 limit. Will do better next week

nottobe I’d rather be kind to myself and end up drinking 4 times over the month than thinking fuck it, I’ve failed and drinking all week. I was drinking way too much at Christmas partly to dull the feeling of total surreal ness that my brother wasn’t there. Easier to crack open the wine and get a bit fuzzy but that has to stop now.

Not2bObvious · 11/01/2021 05:34

Yes, much better to have a more measured approach than risk the extremes.
I will be delighted if I can stay off it until Friday - need to keep busy.

Sounds like a sensible approach gen.
Day 1 again.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/01/2021 07:55

Bastard scales and bastard off plan days. Pft

Not2bObvious · 11/01/2021 09:09

Down .6, same weight as last Monday. It's just a number, a bastard high number but my clothes still fit. It will be less next Monday

Morning everyone 😀
Have to say l am feeling like a slug this morning. Nevermind onwards and downwards hopefully 😁
You are all doing so well even if you don't think you are. You are making conscious decisions about going forward and being accountable for your food and alcohol intake which is absolutely brilliant. I hope l don't sound condescending because l really do admire you all for sticking with it, being disciplined and realistic. When l think of how l blundered from one day to the next thinking 'l will do it tomorrow' only tomorrow never came of course and you just get progressively more overweight and down . I think we are doing great 👏👏👏
I am getting there slowly but l am finding it difficult to get off the Junk . It will come l know, just have to be persistent . Have a lovely day everyone 😀

Not2bObvious · 11/01/2021 10:37

I tell a lie, I'm down .4 on last Monday so there you go - nearly half a pound off, probably fairly right considering.
It is hard to get out of the junk habit after Christmas mrs, you're doing great too.
I've set up an office space for me and my belongings now the kids are home, good to have a dedicated space and feel more organised. Sadly it's where we keep the wine so I'm surrounded 😂 Even I wouldn't be tempted

Haven’t weighed in today. But am back on the relatively healthy track.

Have been for a run. In the rain. And now have 5513 steps under my belt. And have eaten a tofu mushroom wrap which Dh made. Hot sauce a go go!!

Not2bObvious · 11/01/2021 14:58

In my "office" I found my old WW folder, so funny. For fun I'm going to try doing the pro points plan I did in 2011. Last Monday 10 years ago, I was 13 stone (and a half pound) I lost 6 pound in my first week! Today 10 years ago, I was 176.5 pound - today I'm 166.2, so I've lost 10 pound in 10 years😂
This is hilarious, I have a record that runs from Jan 2011 to August 2011.
I'm going to do my first weights workout in months when I finish work, just a 40 min fitness blender one. Looking forward to it

not this is just too good, lot of life lived in those 10 years!!

I lost 1.5lbs last week

Mrsmadevans · 11/01/2021 16:29

Not you have kept it off that is amazing work! 95% of people who lose weight put it all back on again with extra poundage for good measure!!

Mrsmadevans · 11/01/2021 16:29

Happier excellent work well done 😀

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/01/2021 17:08

Well done happier.
How many calories in a ww week. Are you going to try it again.
Although 10lb off is still an off

15500 steps. Muddy walk with a friend

Not2bObvious · 11/01/2021 17:28

I'm going to work it out & I'll report back, 29 daily points and 49 weekly. I have the wheel thing for calculating the points as well. The 10lbs have gone off and on again twice during the 10 years, and it was 20 pounds off at one point. Absolutely no complaints though, just really amazing to find it & have that glimpse back in time.
And I did my first weights for months, feeling the high, although I doubt I'll be able to lift my arms very high tomorrow. Didn't go mad, just know that I'm prone to Doms after even a small break, let along months. Just over 13,600 steps too.
Woohoo happier, that's a chunk of change, great work.

Ok I think it's around 1160 for 29-30 points, if I have 2 x treats, I'll be at 1370 and 36 points. We shall see. 3 decent meals throughout the day, no snacks. There's not a lot of wriggle room. I could have fruit for 0 points but I find it makes me hungrier, that being said I should try eat a bit for health. You could add 100-200 if you'd 2-3 decent fruit portions I reckon.

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 11/01/2021 20:14

That doesn't seem like a lot of calories to me Not. I would be starving 😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/01/2021 21:09

That's basically 1200 calories a day plan isn't it not?
I can do that for precisely 0 days

Not2bObvious · 11/01/2021 21:45

Yep - I reckon so but you'd probably be expected to bulk out with veg/fruit for free. I finished on 1450'ish as I had an apple as well as my treat things. So 1200 on proper food, 240-250 on junk, 80/20. I can see how I lost 6lb the first week back then as I probably stuck to it, I'd have been desperate! This was a bit before too much vanity sizing so I was into a size 16. The next time I hit the 13 stone+ mark, a 14 was my emergency size.
Feel ok tbh, let's see what day 2 brings

OP posts:
Gensola · 11/01/2021 22:02

I think to be as slim as I was in my 20s and early 30s I would have to live on 1200. If I’m quite active I can maintain on 1600 which isn’t too bad. But sedentary I reckon my TDEE is 1200

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/01/2021 06:53

I finished on 1800 but did 16000 steps.
1.5 of bloating off today

devildeepbluesea · 12/01/2021 07:20

1500ish yesterday, probably a bit less. Also went for a run with DD (she's doing couch to 5k). 12600 steps.

Not I still miss the old school, "Vintage Points" Weightwatchers, where you had about 20-22 points per day but a point was worth a lot more. Just a selection of fruit and veg were free. I did so well on that plan. I must dig out my old WW stuff, I'm sure I worked out a formula for calculating vintage points.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/01/2021 07:30

Bah. DS has a migraine. Bah is for lack of morning steps not poorly child

Not2bObvious · 12/01/2021 07:34

2 buggered off this morning, so slightly less daunting number this morning. Got my last 1,400 stepping by the bed. Not feeling too achey but it's usually day 2 that's worse. Might try do legs tomorrow, that usually causes worse Doms but it needs tackling. Hungry for my brekkie now
