Me either happier, only dawned on me this morning. Delighted as I could delay "normal" eating for another day at least, I had thought I'd do my usual Monday menu & no wine. Now I'm doing fancy'ish dinner with a little wine😉 Manky here but not stormy, cold & wet though.
Just over 12,200 - no walk to shops as too cold, will have to get the remaining by house pottering. Trying to think of what to have NYE, I'll have EP over (elderly parent) so can't be anything exotic

Loadsa calories today. It's just so hard with leftovers still about

Mrsmadevans · 28/12/2020 19:40

Scoffed like hell today feeling awfully fat bloated and lethargic. I hate it 🙄 serve me damn right!
Was going to watch TV all day but started to change the beds and 3 beds of laundry and a hoovering and a dusting of the bedrooms later l treated myself to watching thefirdt episode of Brigerton? Wsp? Really enjoying it 🙂

Not2bObvious · 28/12/2020 21:45

It's just the Christmas splurge mrs, we've all done it for so many years, it's damn near impossible not to succumb. But you'll be fine in a day or two, just need to take baby steps back to your pre Christmas routine. I've managed to stick to a positively angelic 2,000 or so, only a couple of drinks in there and a reasonable amount of junk. Day one under my elasticated waistband, might make it back to a structured waist by Jan!
Hit 13,500 and that's enough for today

Mrsmadevans · 28/12/2020 22:48

AHH thank you Not l will be ok just hard to get back to it but will gird my loins very soon! 🤗

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/12/2020 07:10

Definitely Christmas blow out feeling. I had it yesterday and slept dreadfully last night.
Veg soup anyone?

Not2bObvious · 29/12/2020 08:31

Down 1.4 today, 163.8
Awake in the middle of the night, again. V glad I've a few days off so it's not an issue to take it easy. Chilling with a coffee before breakfast, feeling in good form to have another decent day. Homemade pizza on the menu for later 😋

Morning everyone 😀
Am feeling less bloated. Didn't eat after 6 last night and TMl weed and weed through the night which l always do when l am getting back to normal after scoffing 🙄😜 hopefully a lot of the bloat has done one 🤗
Not you got this!! 👏👏👏👏👏

Gensola · 29/12/2020 09:10

I haven’t weighed myself and don’t intend to until I’ve eaten properly for a few days! Definitely doing dry January which should help too.
Meal plan based on fast800 book but not too worried about having slightly larger portions:

Smoked haddock with puy lentil stew
Prawn nasi goreng
NYE - roast chicken, veg (no potatoes), homemade chocolate brownies
NYD - French bean and sausage cassoulet

Lunches will be kale and bean soup or simple tomato soup both being made today, on NYD lunch will be chicken salad from leftovers.
Breakfast - I will try to fast 16:8 which means often I skip breakfast but if I do eat it will be eggs and spinach or Greek yoghurt with poached pears. DH will eat all this with huge quantities of bread and remain a healthy BMI AngryGrin

I know my main downfall is snacking and booze - if I can knock those on the head I’ll lose easily.

Not2bObvious · 29/12/2020 09:17

Your meal plan sounds fab gen - good for you.
I set myself a relaxed plan to cover the 28th to the 3rd Jan, I reckon if I go too hard I'll break & there's a lot of chocolate here to break with. So I've given a daily budget for snacks and alcohol. Not really getting much of a deficit but I'd rather go in easy and step it up a notch next week when life is back to a more normal routine.
Poached egg with guacamole on wholegrain toast inhaled. Delicious!

Went over on snacks but a bit under on snack budget. Can't call it a win but it's not a total loss. Just over 11,000, that includes an hour on the treadmill. Think that'll be it at this stage of the evening unless I get a burst of energy to step in front of the tv. Quite unlikely. Kitchen is closed, finito on my snacking

10k steps yesterday as working. Way over on food and more lb on. Lots of the Christmas food gone. Last will be finished today or tomorrow. Nyd will be hard as buffet lunch. Will just coast to 2 jan I think

Not2bObvious · 30/12/2020 07:52

I meant to say over on snacks, under on alcohol - must have been sugar drunk!
It's just bloat life from extra food, it won't be actually fat gain. No coasting or you'll kick yourself, unless it makes you happy longer than it takes to eat it. At least you're not a drinker, I have literally no willpower once I've a certain level of wine onboard.
Down .8, looked like it was up and I was going to accept it but reweighed twice and 163 twice. I will gladly take that.

Pleas tell me it isn't job search me feeling Meh today .
Everyone seems to be doing very well here well done 👏👏👏
Think we are going to have snow there is a calmness almost eerieness (wsp)? You get just before it starts or is that just me? Have a lovely day everyone 😀

Mrsmadevans · 30/12/2020 09:04

Job search = just me 🤣

ememem84 · 30/12/2020 09:09

77.5kg.
went for a quick jog this morning. shamefully only 2800 steps so far.

had to get out and back and showered before 9am. with dh not working this week he's getting up later, so i don't go out until he takes the kids to nursery.

but a little of something is better than nothing.

Gensola · 30/12/2020 09:44

@ememem84 I’m impressed you’ve done a jog - I’m still in PJs!
Need to do a class on the spin bike today. I’ve only used it about 4 times since I got it Blush and try to keep steps up too. Laps of garden maybe!

Not2bObvious · 30/12/2020 10:25

Funnily enough today is the first day in a while I haven't felt meh! But no doubt the meh will be back soon😉
Got out to do a food shop, walked the long way so I have my 9,000 done. Now for breakfast, starving.
Well done on the jog, still more steps than if you hadn't gone out.
Do you like the peloton gen? I have thought of it but I have an exercise bike and I despise it so I think I know it's not a great option for me. Maybe I fancy a cross trainer 🤔

gen if i'm serious about the weight loss, i need to put the work in.

it also rained. so that was fun.

i'd love a peloton bike. but no space for it.

Gensola · 30/12/2020 11:02

@ememem84 we don’t really have space either - if IVF works I have no idea what we will do with it! Shock

Gensola · 30/12/2020 11:03

@Not2bObvious I do like it and DH loves it - the live classes make you feel less alone when exercising, and the recorded ones are good for if there’s no live class at the time you want to work out. It is £££ though and I admit so far I haven’t made it good value for money. With gyms being closed, I think we will use it more though.

if IVF works you use it for clothes storage right? dust occasionally?

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/12/2020 16:58

Ok day food wise. 12500 steps

Happierwithouthim · 30/12/2020 19:11

Hi all I've only skim read the thread since I last posted. I'm back on mfp today, heeling the better for it, had pt session, short walk with dog and children.

Happierwithouthim · 30/12/2020 19:13

Rattled with the news that children are off school for longer here.
My dm has offered to travel 100 miles to care for dc. I've minded myself so well I don't know what to do. She's had a private test done so will decide based on her results
