@Not2bObvious

Didn't bother ruining my day by standing on the scales - the guilt & shame from weekend gluttony is enough to bear. Very bloated too
Me too, Not2b Envy Afternoon everyone Smile It's beautiful here today absolutely lovely Smile Have had a huge fruit salad for lunch, probably going to have a salmon salad for tea Smile Have a lovely abstinent day everyone Smile
Not2bObvious · 14/09/2020 13:41

Enjoy the spa day em, you look great!
On 12,000 steps after a few different short bursts. Hope to get my remaining 3,000 easily enough. I'm avoiding chocolate & crisps today, I've eaten pretty ok if a bit carby so far. Had a protein shake which was lovely, with any luck it'll keep me going until dinner. I'm camera dodging

Shot step today but food on point.
You look great em.

God I'm thirsty these days

Not2bObvious · 14/09/2020 20:48

As long as it's thirsty for water not gin or wine, you're onto a winner life😉
Just under 1500 cals, just over 15,000 steps, macros hit fairly ok. Decent start to the week. My water intake needs to improve

Not enough steps. But had a sea swim after the spa.

Bbq burgers for dinner. Perfect evening for a g&t or a lovely cold glass of wine. But I didn’t. I had cucumber tonic water instead. Lots of ice.

Back on IF tomorrow. I find it so difficult when the kids are around as I want them to have good eating habits. So always eat breakfast with them at the weekends and on days off.

Stood on scales at the spa. 12stone 2. Hum.

Not2bObvious · 14/09/2020 21:56

Was that weigh in before or after the cucumber water em? And it's an asod (alien-scale of doom) Fab work on resisting vino after what sounds like a great day, you're a stronger person than I'd be, any excuse with me. Joined a new weightloss plan, more a support group, I've followed the free content for years but I need a bit more encouragement so I've signed up for 3 months. Wasn't too spendy & I already feel a bit uplifted. Badly needed

After the water. Maybe that’s where I’m going wrong...?! Haha.

And yes. I resisted wine. We don’t actually have any in the house currently. So it made it easier. I’ve said to dh none until my birthday (early oct). And I’m determined to stick to it. I’m on day 16 now. As started on 30 August.

WreckTangled · 15/09/2020 07:35

Down a bit again but not to where it was Friday morning Blush on the plus side my hot wash/tumbled jeans are fitting better. Not sure it'll last all day though.

Not2bObvious · 15/09/2020 08:10

I braved the scales, up 3lb on Friday. Not a huge surprise. Decided to start using the happy scale app to track my average weight. I'm just shy of 10 pounds heavier than I was in September 2016. In all honesty I'm kind of pleased with that, it could have been much much worse.
Well done on 16 AF days em, I'm on day 2 haha! I just want to aim for min 4 days off it a week, ideally 5 and then the days I do drink not to overdo it. Did 4000 steps and then a seated weighted workout for the elderly...or they do say people with lower body injury so that placated me. I'd say I'll have achy arms in the morning

That's fantastic yay! Am okay today after weekend if crap scoffing. Upwards and onwards 😄
Not2bObvious · 15/09/2020 12:31

Glad you're getting back on it mrs, weekends seem to be all our challenges!

Scales still not good news for me today +2.5lbs on last weeks average, that's the wine bloat I guess, I did eat a lot but didn't do hangover eating so thought I'd be ok, it's coming up to week off pill & I'm on antibiotics so I'm not going to beat myself up about it Hmm

I had a life powder mixed with choc mint protein powder this morning, it's more tolerable. Weird though not eating a breakfast.

10am was poached egg on slice of ancient grain sourdough bread with half an avocado
lunch toastie made with the same bread, ham, scallions and cheddar with some extra light mayo and strawberries not good enough for the lunchbox. I think strawberries have gone past their best now to be fair.

Dinner will be one of the recipes from my delivery - choice of BBQ Chicken with Rice and Slaw, Teriyaki Salmon with Vegetable Fried Rice and Sweet and Sour Pork or maybe something much simpler.

I'm alcohol free most of the time, probably every second weekend.

WreckTangled · 15/09/2020 16:22

I ate two mars bars BlushSad I have a serious chocolate addiction and I know I have to go cold turkey but there's still one mars bar left in the fridge...

WreckTangled · 15/09/2020 16:22

Oh they're the small Tesco version not the full sized ones as if that makes it any better

Happierwithouthim · 15/09/2020 16:41

That makes it a whole lot better - probably 100 cals vs 450!
Not2bObvious · 15/09/2020 19:26

Tuesdays a bit early to be free of the weekends bloat happier, you'll see the back of it by Thursday or Friday.
If they're the mars type bars I'm thinking of wreck, you're looking at 160-180 each maybe? Mini ones, 80 cals, this I know cause I ate a load of them over the weekend BlushYou're probably not even over your calories but I'd try lose that third bar in the bin, you'll be kicking yourself if you eat it.
Over 20,000 steps, about 100 cals left

SnugglySnerd · 15/09/2020 19:56

Ooh Mars bars! I could manage one now! Have resisted all treats today and got my steps in again.

Mrsmadevans · 15/09/2020 20:13

Have had another bit of a blip , it's very difficult sticking to it when l get stressed . Am doing a lot at the moment tryig to sort Dd2 house and Dd1 car and Dr's appts and MumBob and the NDN and thousands of little things but the worst id the looming departure of Dd2 , it's horrible. l am sure the waiting for her to go is much worse than the reality .l am dreading it and can't seem to stop scoffing !

ememem84 · 15/09/2020 21:17

Ah ha! Period appeared today which may account for some of the weight gain.

Healthy day. Salad at lunchtime (lettuce cucumber pumpkin seeds avocado tomato basil and mozerella) and then apple and grapes for snack.

Chicken fajitas for dinner. And a fab lolly. Yum.

Lots of water. Two cups of green tea. Buckets of coffee.

And 9867 steps.

Not2bObvious · 15/09/2020 21:57

Sounds like you've an awful lot on your plate mrs, all too tempting to use food to self soothe. At least you're aware of it, you can curb it, maybe not always but there are stronger days I'm sure. I have some fierce internal dialogue going sometimes, put the fecking packet of crisps down you fool! That's to me btw, not shouting at you😉 Be kind though, see if there's non food things you can do for stress, even if it's just a long shower.

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 15/09/2020 22:10

Ahh thank you Not2b yes l think l need to find other ways of coping Smile l need to apply myself.

Not2bObvious · 15/09/2020 22:57

You and me both! Sounds like something my old teachers would say, not could do so well if she applied herself. Pity I seem to be only able to apply myself successfully to eating & drinking😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/09/2020 06:47
