Is today the wedding you mentioned life? Have a brilliantly time!
When I did 5:2, id fast til dinner the off time. I swear I have mental scars from the hanger, as do all my family. Michael Mosley has a lot to answer for
I'm beyond delighted, I drank less than I budgeted for last night. I managed to track my meal pretty close (got a sneaky look at the recipe hehe) so I was at maintenance. Brought my scales and only up .2 - got up and went for a long walk, nearly 10,000 steps before 10am. I'll be 7 stone tomorrow for sure😂

Yes it is wedding day. The weather is hideous though

Happierwithouthim · 03/10/2020 13:40

Oh life you're going after all that's great, enjoy.

Drink soda water you'll f*rt the bloat out Grin

Not2bObvious · 03/10/2020 20:16

Hope you're having fun life
I'm knackered, going to bed early - bang on calories, so bed is the safest place for me. Rubbish sleep last night

Sounds as if we are all doing ok 😁
Hope you had a wonderful day at the weddinglife 😀
I am doing ok, had a curry tonight but it was altogether 900 calories so l am ok. Have not felt like eating much today which for me is a miracle!

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/10/2020 07:25

The wedding was lovely. Chocolate cake was eaten. KFC on way home but a mini fillet burger suffice.

This morning up to 128 . 3 or 5 I forgot

Need to meal plan, need inspiration

Mrsmadevans · 04/10/2020 08:51

Morning everyone 😀
Glad you had a lovely time yesterday. Hoping to keep to my 1800 cals again today we shall see 😊🤞
Have a great day everyone 😀

Not2bObvious · 04/10/2020 09:26

Down .2 this morning, so no excessive weekend bloat so far - only .4 up on Friday. Slow cooker dinner today. It's meant to rain all day, might be about time to dust off my treadmill. Started to move into colder weather so no harm.

I find 1800 a nice amount mrs, glad you're able to stick to it. I'm trying 1700 this week, all good. I'm kind of assessing on a week to week basis, tried 1800 the week before but bizarrely that kind of triggered me to eat more? More than likely that was hormone related thinking about it.
I'll stick with 1700 this week although I've 2 birthdays in the week so that might be a tad ambitious, might have to try keep a few cals on the other 5 days to compensate.

Sounds like a good day all round life

I've retained 2.5lbs of my loss this week, I'm content with that, I'm not ok with total meal replacement, not eating any food just doesn't sit right with me so I'm going to 2-3 replacements per day alongside a healthy lunch or dinner

Reheated ds's takeaway breast box in the actifry last night and followed it up with a glass of Malbec by the fire

Out walking dog now in the wild windy weather

Happierwithouthim · 04/10/2020 11:23

What's in slow cooker not?
I'm going to make jools Oliver's beef stew this week I think, sure sign of winter

Not2bObvious · 04/10/2020 12:45

2.5 is very good happier, nice going.
I'm making a chicken & mushroom thing, it's great cause you can use frozen chicken. Just a can of mushroom soup, 250ml of chicken stick, thyme, salt & pepper, few bay leaves, pop the chicken (700 gr bag from Aldi €4?) in, add loads of sliced mushrooms on top. Cook on high for around 4 hours, take the chicken out & shred it, add a cornflower mix (tbsp cornflower mixed to paste with a little cold water) to the soupy stuff to thicken, Chuck chick back in for a bit. Serve with crusty bread. Low cal, low cost, high protein.

Mrsmadevans · 04/10/2020 15:24

Not that sounds delicious 😋
Thank you re the encouragement l am trying so hard. I find IF and a calorie limit the best for me. It's taken a bit 🐱 of a time for me to get to be able to stick to it but l am on it now fingers crossed ☺️

Not2bObvious · 04/10/2020 17:36

It was actually really good this time, used a stock pot rather than stock cube & the flavour was much better. Bit of room for a treat or two later 😋

Sounds lovely.

I'm a bit lost as to What to do . I feel chubby on, my tum but I'm sick of failing to lose weight and getting negative thoughts.

Hmm

Not2bObvious · 05/10/2020 07:38

Monday's aren't the best days for feeling good about your weight, especially after being out out at a wedding. What do you want to weigh? Or do you have a size goal in mind?

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 05/10/2020 08:41

I think I'm happier at 125. I need to get back to weigh training to get shape now.

Happierwithouthim · 05/10/2020 08:42

I used to make something similar to that, bed of onions chicken on top, condensed chicken soup on top and lashings of paprika, I can't eat mushrooms but they were part of the original recipe.

Jools Favourite Beef Stew

Scales was up today, had brinner for tea - 2 aldi hashbrowns(lowcaloriequeen on instagram inspired) 2 mallons low fat sausages, (all oven baked) 2 pieces of black pudding and an egg fried and a slice of wholegrain bread, guess lots of salt.

I'm not feeling great at the moment, all the stuff to do with house is finally getting to me. NPETT are recommending level 5 restrictions too.

Got a phone call last night from childcare, a close contact of a staff member tested positive, her ex husband, child who stays with both tested negative, and staff member waiting for a test.

Childcare wanted me to make decision on if to send my children in and also because they found out so late last night there would only be one member of staff on duty which leads to child protection issues. I know this staff member on a personal level so on that count I was fine with them going in. Spent a lot of the night awake deliberating over sending them in or not on the basis of risk.

I'm also unsure about ordering more New You Products or not, swinging between yes and no.

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/10/2020 08:45

Gosh happier that's a lot going on.

House, no further forward I take it?

Level 5 you can't control but will be shit.
Risk to DC, they are probably already exposed before symptoms. In would have sent them too.

New you? Do you think it's working for you? What would one more help with?

Not2bObvious · 05/10/2020 10:16

Putting my 2 cents in the hat here, I don't think they'll go level 5. I think they're throwing it out there and that some people might adopt level 5 behaviour out of fear but business & industry won't be able to shut down like before - that's just my feeling.
With regard to the new you stuff, again only my opinion but you managed to lose weight very nicely before on a normal calorie restriction. You didn't have to buy anything special to achieve it. Nothing magic in those packs, just feck all calories

Happierwithouthim · 05/10/2020 10:40

No, I went to see if Septic tank had been reviewed on Sat eve and it hasn't been touched. But mortgage offer expires on Sat and that's still not sorted out either so in a way it suits me that septic tank hasn't been looked at it but still sh*t! Sad

I lost 2.5lbs by doing it loosely last week. If i even lost 1.5lbs a week for Oct that would be over 8lbs which would be great. I guess if I don't do it, I'm stuck where I am?

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/10/2020 10:55

Which is a great weigh loss but can you then maintain the loss without it? If you rebound and regain at the end of the month what then?
You can smash the 1600 and have done? Or is it the steps?

It is quite literally shit.

Happierwithouthim · 05/10/2020 11:28

Ya I thought of that too not restricting my calories much lower than 1600.

Happierwithouthim · 05/10/2020 11:29

Ya ye are right.

The theory behind 4 packs a day is you go into ketosis to burn the weight but I know I can't do 4 packs a day.
