Hi all

Feeling like I'm the size of a small whale today. Think it must be the excesses of the weekend.

Back on the WW planner now, and they've reduced my points to 20 now! Was hungry today but made a lovely chicken soup from dinner and only had 1 bread roll as opposed to my normal 27.

On training again tomorrow (groan, another buffet) so making my own lunch to take. Don't mind but makes me stick out like a sore thumb!

DP going food shopping tonight. Love it when he goes cos he buys lots of indulgent but healthy goodies and I don't have to think about how much they cost!

Wedding dresses- YAY mine is ordered and bloody lovely! Can't wait to wear it!

mylittlefreya · 15/10/2007 19:01

I never got round to typing out how I make chicken soup for you MarkStretch - but you made some anyway, so that's ok.

We are doing really badly on the sleeping department and it makes me either non-hungry or in need of comfort food. Today I lost my appetite but have been eating too much over recent days. Or am I just making excuses??!

Today: exercise- tick, water- tick, less food than usual- tick. Keep going ladies, we can do this!!!

susiecutie · 15/10/2007 19:48

not feeling so positive tonight. had an ok day, but just feel quite hungry.

I rmember when i was on slimming world, they said to have a 'buddie' you can call when you feel down or low, if this is a trigger point for you eating/snacking. also, do the same if you cannot think what to snack on. as an objective pair of eyes will find more that is helathy than your own peckish hungry eyes [will]

Soooo, you lot are my buddie! means i 've to go on here when i'm feeling off... and type til my hearts contents until the feeling goes off!

MarkStretch · 15/10/2007 20:03

Ah susiecutie we'll all be your buddies.

Its important to know others are going through the same.

What the hell is going on in Eastenders?!?!?! Just turned it on and Jane's been shot?!?!

pollywollydooooooooodle · 15/10/2007 20:31

who the hell is jane?
polly behind the times as usual!

OMGhelp · 15/10/2007 21:58

Bad week for starting/ kicking diet back into action, as I am going on holiday in 4 hours, for a week. But I may just eat fruit all week who knows? Going to get a quick shower and bed for those precious 4 hours.
See Ya!

laloupgarou · 16/10/2007 09:40

Had to write off yesterday too as I was out last night, fresh start today. Might set myself a challenge that I will lose at least two pounds this week. That will hopefully keep me on the straight and narrow.

All the best for today x

susiecutie · 16/10/2007 10:29

I dont even remember typing my post last night! I was SO SO SO tired. funny that even though i was that tired i managed to feel really peckish!

anyway, glad i made sense! if not terrible grammar
So i've eaten a banana, pair and last bit of home made rice pudding from yesterday, for my breakfast.

not sure about rest of the day yet. but it will have to involve mince at some point.. as have large large tray of mince that needs cooking.

Dd has learnt to crawl !!! started sunday night, idnt do much yesterday , as seemed to have forgotten. TOday, she is moving forward very well, if not a little like Bambi, but she's trying very hard. I keep seeing this tiny bottom wobbling up in the air going past me, ot the corner of my eye. She thinks she has to go on her toes as well.... bless her.

Really brillian, and exciting, but, bad timing for me mobility wise.

good luck girls. think thin!

pinkrose · 16/10/2007 11:25

Hi put on 2 pounds but knew that woult happen after being ill.Yesterday bought a glass of nutella and had two slices of toast with it .Well will be better today had porridge with raisins for bf,grapes and will have ratatouille for lunch. Will do some walking after lunch to try and get rid of those extra 2 lbs.

howlingatthefullmoonmother · 16/10/2007 14:29

Haven't been about I'm afraid as the flu type thing I had at the beginning of last week turned into chronic Tonsillitus by Thursday!

Haven't felt that ill in a long time, still not feeling 100% but alot better than I was.

The best piece of news tho is that I have eaten next to nothing since last week as I couldn't swallow! so I'm hoping that when I weigh myself at the end of the week I'll have lost a fair bit of weight.

Exercise has taken a bit of a battering tho as I've had no energy to do any.

Hope your all doing well, and keep it up

susiemustgetslimcutie · 16/10/2007 18:15

oh dear, you both sound like oyu've had a rotten time. glad you are back, and feeling better now though. fingers crossed on the weight loss, but nt on the cause of it ..,

Hi everyone

Have been SO SO tired again today. Just had 2 hours sleep, with dd. I only woke up as she wsa really really crying. I dont know ho long she'd been awake for feel terrible. I dont know whats wrong with me, but something is. I'm never this tired. i slept almost the entire eve yesterday from about half 7 ( despite a small appearance on here! i still dont remember )

I could sleep agin now, all eve. Dd is going to have a later tea and late bed time as she's not long been up, although she may have been awake for an hour or more!

just feel exhausted, nothing more, no other symptoms, just really really tired. bit worried

hope oyu are all well, adn doing well on your eating plans.

pollywollydooooooooodle · 16/10/2007 19:04

sounds like the start or finish of a bug susie new name,....everyone i know has or has had something viral. Big hugs to all poorly bunnies!

well today was a damage limitation excercise...managed to break one of my diet rules and its only day 2 (see if you can spot which one!)

brekkie...muesli
mid am frangipane cake
lunch tuna and cheese panini
eve 2 sausages, low fat mash and onion gravy
later will have an apple and a cappuccino

i feel cross that i haven't stuck to my rules....still, i only had one cake, asked for less cheese on my panini in the cafe and turned down the choc ice cream hubby bought for tea!

how do you turn down food(ie cakes and biscuits) that others have got in specially when you visit for coffee...i always feel like i'm being a bit stand offish/not one of the gang if i say no ....

mylittlefreya · 16/10/2007 19:35

The tiredness of a bug is awful. I felt a bit lie that with my period last week - these crazy hormones. Don't beat yourself up susie - these things happen and I doubt she'd been up for that long, probably just gone from 0-60 in seconds as it were.

My dd is poorly so I am sleep deprived and worried and... not really eating, though that isn't a good long term plan. I had some chocolate milk at lunch time but that may have been it. Can't really remember

MarkStretch · 16/10/2007 19:42

Evening all.

Sorry to hear everyone has been feeling poorly

Did my training today and ate my own lunch rather than the buffet much to the amusement of my colleagues. But since my points have been reduced I am really hungry! I'm afraid to say I succumbed to a handful of crisps and some chicken when I got home. I have developed a new addiction for Salt and Vinegar Snack-a-Jacks they are sooooo good!!!!

Back on my bike tomorrow for some exercise.

spottyshoes · 16/10/2007 20:16

Brekkie: Toast
11'ses None
Lunch None
PM T: Homemade birthday cake
Dinner: Spoonful each of; rice, sweet & sour chicken, lemon chicken, chicken chow mein, one crispy duck pancake, 2 prawn crackers
Puding: coconut icecream

pollywollydooooooooodle · 16/10/2007 20:40

you like chicken then spottyshoes! doesn't look that bad as a total intake....

mylittlefreya sorry dd isn't well...still how do you forget to eat?? Never happens to me ....

well done markstretch for not just going with the herd (must do that with cakes and coffee mornings....)

susie (good new name btw) i just love that bum in the air wiggly crawl....especially compared to dd 3 yo who stomps around as one of the world's moral police "x is so naughty for not sharing" "it is very wrong to snatch" (not that it stops her doing any of these things) You have my sympathy over the mobility panic as well....

spottyshoes · 16/10/2007 21:40

Lol Polly, it does look like that doesnt it! No, there were 8 of us ordering different things and sharing but I wasnt particularly keen on the beef sauces and curries. Would have had tons more duck as it is my fave but luckily for my waistline everyone else liked it too!

Hope you've had a better day than me today?

susiemustgetslimcutie · 16/10/2007 22:08

OOOOoooo, snack a jacks! they're fab. I love the caramel ones especially with a banana sliced on top. hmmmm

well, had mince beef and onion for lunch with little cutie. she loved it. plus she had mashed potoato and I had mashed carrot and sweed to.

just cooking another rice pudding for little girl. she loves it. I might just have some too. nothing too bad in there. just a bit of sugar really. but nice and filing for her.

MrsSeanSlater · 16/10/2007 23:34

My 5lb loss turns out not to be 5lb at all, just an aberration with the scales. No idea how much I've lost now, if anything. I will stick with the same set of scales from now on.
I've been quite good today, no wine and no snacks apart from a funsize mint aero. i bought a pack of 10 to allow myself a little treat each day and they're better than the full size ones.

laloupgarou · 17/10/2007 09:00

I'm going to name and shame yesterday's intake in the hope that it will set me back on track. Have just worked out why I have been so snacky, af started today.

Breakfast - (after late night at Take That concert on Monday)

  • 2 rashers bacon
  • grilled tomato
  • potato and soda bread
  • egg

Lunch - none, I was about to make a big pot of lentil and carrot soup before realised we'd run out of lentils. So just got stuck into a pot of mini-flapjacks.

Dinner - in cafe, hamburger with salad and loads of fries.

Oh dear. Will try much harder today. I started so well but I seem to have lost the plot over the last week.

dislexicicecream · 17/10/2007 14:38

hello every one!
sorry to hear so many of you are being hit with winter bugs !
went to main land yesterday (southampton) to find a wedding dress, had my hair all nice and smooth tryed on about 30 dresses hair turend into crazy frizz ball but maneged to bye a dress i liked in the end so not all lost,
i did how ever eat half a mediam veggi pizza from pizza hut, and i think i am paying for it today as my belly feels gurgley lol
surves me right!
sounds like you are doing good though cant belive this week is our 3rd weigh in!!! i better get my ass in gear and start doing some exersise! i want to but things keep coming up that stop me from doing them by the time i am free its like midnight, aaaggghhh
still doing the longer way to and from school and walking quicker to try to burn a little extra,

mylittlefreya · 17/10/2007 15:04

I got myself into a really silly flap - dd has 3 anal fissures, I took her to the doctor thinking it was probably quite common but apparently because of where they are it's quite worrying. PFB - can you tell?! I try so hard to be commonsensical about things but fail sometimes!

I made some great chicken burgers with the left over roast chicken, a bit of stuffing, and an egg. We had them for lunch with a big heap of rocket with lemon juice. Yummy and quite healthy I think.

Walked 2 miles this morning at speed with heavy pushchair. I am feeling frustrated because though I seem to have got my waistline back, I am losing nothing off my lower tummy. I don't look overweight, just 2nd trimester pregnant. Grrrr. Got to keep going!
