Not bad for the first week eh?
Actually this is par for the course, it's mostly fluid, but it still gives me a boost and the incentive to carry on

laloupgarou · 12/10/2007 20:43

Hi everyone

Have a great weekend, susiecutie x

Today's food
Breakfast - 2 slices of wholemeal toast, half-fat butter and cup of tea

Lunch - out shopping...2 cocktail sausages out of M&S snack pack, few sips of fruit juice

Dinner - veggie sirfry and noodles

Might have a handful of crisps and a glass of wine soon

susiecutie · 12/10/2007 21:55

Spotty, I'm sure if he were her all the time he wouldn't !

we'll see after our 2 weeks holiday... at home! well, its as good as being away on holiday, just to all be together for 2 weeks, and not have work on phone... its banned... we went away in May, and the phone in the cottage rang one morning and it was one of his foremen.. I told "dave' i hadnt realised we had gone on holiday with the company too.. he said "i didnt realise he was married with children! "

boy did mr cutie have some talking to do... apparently they just dont talk about their home lives ...??? only men can be like that hey!

So whilst i've been waiting ( he pulled over for a sleep) i've managed to finish the malt loaf, and drink 2 large glasses of hot milk. I'm all nervous about seeing him! done y legs, armpits, pruned the garden tmi?

Also had a long hot bath to help my back. interrupted by a teething girl, who had her second bath of the evening! lol

SO tired can hardly keep my eyes open. might go and lye down on bed, then if i fall asleep he can just climb in behind me. thats my fav thing you know... if he's going to be late, and i go to bed, feeling him cuddling up to me. makes my tummy flip over at the thought! oh, and i dont mean cuddling in a norty way. Dd will prob be next to me judging by her teething. so he'll have both hi girls to snuggle.

buktus · 13/10/2007 11:55

I have just eaten after 2 days of being sick afetr darling lo's give me the sick bug from hell i have lost 6lbs in two days which will all go back on as soon as i can eat normally, but just had a poached egg on toast to start and a cup of tea

pinkrose · 13/10/2007 12:46

Well done buktus as long as you eat healthily you might keep it off.Don't worry spottyshoes i only lost that much as I wasn't well.I am sure I'll put it on now that I eat normal again.I had a slice of wholegrain toast with jam and going to have soup for lunch.Am a terrible snacker but bought some nut snack packs will just convince myself they're as good as chocolate.Good weekend everyone need to clean flat now.

spottyshoes · 13/10/2007 15:40

Just weighed myself again and still have not lost a bean

I have really cut back on all the crap and unhealthy stuff I used to eat, I have only had 2 squares of dark choc and a few glasses of weighwatchers wine in nearly 2 weeks. The sweet stuff I've had has been sugarfree homebaking or lowfat meringue nests. I really dont know what I'm doing wrong everyone else seems to be losing and people are always posting that they slipped up or ate bars of choccie etc - how do they do it? I'm still exercising and have stepped up the walking.

It's my ds's half birthday today so am baking a chocolate cake - and feck it i'm having a slice!

tangarine · 13/10/2007 16:48

ss,

Your scales must be broken. You can't have not lost weight. Do you feel better/slimmer/clothes looser?

I don't have scales so don't know if/what I'm losing, but I know I'm getting smaller round the middle, and my trousers are feeling loose. Go by size and feel rather than the scales.

spottyshoes · 13/10/2007 18:27

Hi tangerine
I dont think the scales are broken as they are the old fashioned ones with the dial, not the digital ones and I had my mum and everyone hop on to check they were ok.
DH is a bit of a fitness buff and he thinks it pretty near impossible not to lose even a pound when drinking loads of water, exercising and cutting back. So guess i'm a bit of a freak
I will keep up with what I have been doing for the next 4 weeks and if I keep staying the same I may just have to face the fact that I wont lose any weight until I stop breastfeeding. Eating more healthily can general only benefit me in the long run and at least i'm not gaining.
Good luck to everyone on their weigh-ins

spottyshoes · 13/10/2007 21:17

Brekkie: Museli & Fruit Salad
11'ses: None
Lunch: Chicken Salad Wrap & a plum
PM T: None
Dinner: 3 Chippolata, small bit of mash, brocolli, Carrots, Peas, instant gravy - all made by dh for once
Supper: very small slice of my choccy cake with glass of s/s milk

Hope everyones off being good

tangarine · 13/10/2007 21:42

Aah spottyshoes, didn't realise you were still b/f. I remember having problems losing those last few pounds when I was b/f. And one of my friends (who b/f or was pg for 5 years) didn't go back to her previous super-skinny until she stopped with her dc2. But as you say, eating well is a good habit to get into.

Me today

Breakfast; 2poached eggs on 2 toasts, coffee
Lunch: pumpkin, ginger and chicken soup, banan, low fat yoghurt
Tea: Baked potato, 2 sausages baked with cherry toms, green salad, 2 squares dark chocolate

Might have to celebrate the rugby with a little something - the last few minutes are making me feel ill

MarkStretch · 14/10/2007 11:10

Morning all

Have had a dreadfully sinful weekend including a chinese last night, although we didn't have our usual sweet and sour chicken balls- too greasy!

Feeling quite heartened by the amount of people I've realised have done WW before and lost weight- seems like it is really sucessful. Sure I must have put on a couple of the 4 lbs I lost but at least it has shown that if I stick to eat I can lose weight.

Got step-daughter here this weekend and her and dd have eaten me out of house an home. Popping to the supermarket later, might treat myself to a nice pair of shiny new digital scales so I can measure properly.

mylittlefreya · 14/10/2007 13:34

I am on a zero - I was brave and weighed myself. But at least I didn't put back on the previous loss. I deserved to, really.

The new leaf starts today! I had two crumpets for breakfast, just with a bit of flora, and am making chicken soup with a carcass at the moment, and it is making me very hungry (and the cat go absolutely crazy!)

It's not going to be a stone for me... but half will be fine!

OMGhelp · 14/10/2007 13:40

Please can I join, I know its a bit late but I have only joined Mumnet 2 days ago. I have half my body weight to lose. I am 5'6" and weigh 18st 5lbs. and want to get to 10stone eventually. I have already dropped from 20st 11lb, but have lost my way and need a bit more help. I also use Rimonobant (prescription) to curb my appitite and find that it works for me. It stops the nibbling dead.

OMGhelp · 14/10/2007 13:46

Spottyshoes--- Breast feeding can be one of the greatest ways to lose weight, IF your body doesn't also demand that you eat enough to cope with the demand. I had a bowl of raw veg crudities or lime juice coleslaw in the fridge for those times when the body was saying eat but the slim to-be me was saying no-no. My present weight problems came about because I worked as a chef for too many years and wasn't bothered about my self image. I was to all intents and purposes a happy fat great to know person. At home I was a bitch, manic depression was diagnosed with anti-depressants to control it, and now I realise that I really have to do something about my weight.
