It's a deal, katyb!

MarkStretch · 09/10/2007 20:51

katy- more wine sounds like a good idea!

katybumpinthenight · 09/10/2007 20:53

you can save upto 2 points aday and have a extra special treat ie a takeaway but no more than 2 aday and they must be spent within the week.
i lost 5 stone with ww after ds2 but i can't seem to get back into it at the moment,i really should try

katybumpinthenight · 09/10/2007 20:54

can i eat the snickers thats in the fridge?

laloupgarou · 09/10/2007 20:56

Don't worry about spending the exercise points unless you need them for a night out or something, markstretch. And eating a point or so less on a day here or there will probably not do too much harm. BUT consistently eating below daily points value quite often slows metabolism as body gets use to managing on less cals on a regular basis. I have had experiemce of this, so have friends who did WW, and most WW leaders would say the same.

Add in some treats or an extra slice of bread or something maybe? Another good way of losing weight on WW is to vary your points over the week...eating more some days, cutting back a bit on others. don't have a link, but if you google the "Wendie Plan" it should come up.

laloupgarou · 09/10/2007 20:59

Ok but no more choc this week, katyb!

katybumpinthenight · 09/10/2007 21:02

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm chew chomp chew mmmmmmmmmmm

MarkStretch · 09/10/2007 21:03

Thanks for all your help. I have been having lunch around 8 and then not eating anything until lunch at around 1pm so maybe I need to add some snacks in mid morning and afternoon.

Should stop me getting to 9 o'clock at night and thinking 'hmmmm maybe I should now eat lots of cake and drink wine to make up points'. Just waiting for Tesco delivery to arrive and have ordered lots of nice WW food to eat so will space out snacks.

On training at work for the next 2 days and they always order in a buffet lunch but was thinking I will be good and take something from the WW meal planner instead.

Off to watch 'Bringing up Baby' now and throw things at the telly!

laloupgarou · 09/10/2007 21:07

I lost all my baby weight really quickly after dcs 1 and 2 on WW, markstretch. Even though I had a creme egg or a packet of fruit pastilles every day while following it (and wine too if I had the points!). As long as you're not going over, checking your portion sizes etc...eat and enjoy your full points worth. (Especially as the points go down as the weight comes off!).

katybumpinthenight · 09/10/2007 21:12

would you consider doing ww again laloupgarou?[to use your full title ]
i really want to and have the new journal and things as my mum joined to support my sister but she only had 10 pounds to lose,so she gave me her stuff but i just can't get into gear for it

MarkStretch · 09/10/2007 21:17

I did it cos I have tried to lose weight so many times before and the only time I managed it was when I fell in love with dp and was too lovesick to eat (two stone wahey! and its stayed off).

Everyone I talked to said they did it with WW so thought I had better try it too. Saw one of my friends at the w/e and she's gone froma large 14 to a size 8 in jeans!

MarkStretch · 09/10/2007 21:18

size 8

katybumpinthenight · 09/10/2007 21:25

markstretch you have just made my mind up THANK YOU,i am starting ww again in the morning.i was a size 8 ok,it was a couple of years ago and people said i was too thin[always been the fat twin lol]but i loved it and will be an 8 or 10 again

ra ra ra goooooooooo bumpers !!!!!

laloupgarou · 09/10/2007 21:29

I tried WW again after ds2, katyb, but I just couldn't seem to get back into it with the enthusiasm I had before! I'm loosely following Slimming World's rules at the moment, but if I don't get anywhere with this over the next few weeks than I'll maybe give the WW plan another go. I have to keep telling my inner self that I am NOT on a diet though...or I tend to rebel!

katybumpinthenight · 09/10/2007 21:33

i'm going to try the structure of ww laloupgarou.3 pound off is great for me but i have a habit of losing weight and then getting a bit lazy and putting it back on.this time i'm going to lose the weight!!!!!

laloupgarou · 09/10/2007 21:39

Here's to tomorrow!! As long as we all keep each other motivated, I'm sure we'll get there in the end whichever plan we follow!

laloupgarou · 10/10/2007 09:28

Morning

I feel very motivated too. I'm waiting for our Tesco delivery and I have meal-planned healthy dinners for the next few days. Going walking with a friend this evening, it's about 4.5 mile route so it will be nice to get some exercise again. Hoping to get back to gym next week too.

MrsSeanSlater · 10/10/2007 12:28

I'm wearing a skirt this morning which a couple of weeks ago I couldn't get into. It's still tight but it's an improvement definitely.

mylittlefreya · 10/10/2007 14:47

katyb I went into town. But was in Stockport in Asda earlier - I really am going to walk past you one of these days and not know! Glad dd is getting better.

Am very impressed at you all. I've been rubbish the last couple of days. No way am I really losing this week. I think maybe I should think about ww - write off today and yesterday and start afresh (I stupidly bought some biscuits on Monday). I really do yo-yo - I need to try and make changes that stay. Sigh. End of ridiculous self-pityingness.

katybumpinthenight · 10/10/2007 17:35

mrsseanslater well done on getting your skirt on

mylittlefreya theres a picture of my dd (and me) on my profile.if you spot me in stockport you'll have to say katybump in my direction and then i can say hello
