Hi all

Today I was really good and ate my WW lunch instead of the hot pizza buffet we had on the training day yeah!

On the bad side I have had a letter from Tax Credits saying I owe them £4,500 and they want £50 a month from me. Cue me crying, then yelling at some stupid twunt on the phone for 45 mins before them saying either I pay up or they take me to court. Motherf**kers. Hence I am having a glass of wine.

Have to tell you about mine and dp's conversation tonight.

DP 'Do you want another dollop of risotto?'

Me 'No thanks DP, remember, nothing tastes as good as thin feels.'

DP 'Who's Lynn Fields?'

katybumpinthenight · 10/10/2007 19:07

markstretch i am so for you.the tax credits have a real habit of doing that to people. bastards .i'm really liking your conversation with dp though pmsl x

spottyshoes · 10/10/2007 19:08

PMSL at Lynn Fields! But Grrr at the Tax Credits. We werent going to claim them but I decided to in the end and put in my claim at the end of July....still waiting. DH claimed them for his son before he met me and ended up having to pay back nearly £1,000 - except they took it back in only two installments which nearly crippled him! Seems a bit of a balls up system to me

Well done everyone on their menus today - highly virtuous

Brekkie: Museli/s.s milk
11'ses: None
Lunch: Homemade Carrot & lentil Soup with cheese on toasted bun & veggie 'platter'
PM T: Necafe Decaf cappuccino & 2 squares of dark chocolate
Dinner: Shared a pitta bread stuffed with mashed avocado and cheese with Babyshoes at 5pm
Adult Dinner: None as now not hungry after my hugely filling half pitta! 1st time i've tried splitting our dinner times and dont think i'll bother again
Drinks: Water & squash
Exercise: Yum Mums - hour of squats, crunches, boxing & pilates type stuff.
1/2 hour Supermarket shop and 1 mile power walk. Phew

katybumpinthenight · 10/10/2007 19:11

spottyshoes you are eating so well at the moment, well done i'm really proud of you!

spottyshoes · 10/10/2007 20:18

Thanks KB - You too! I've always eaten well, it was just the caramel custard donuts and chocolate cake and endless bags of crisps that used to let the side down!!!!

Where has everyone gone do you think? I thought there was a good 15-20 peeps last week but it seems like we are down to 5 or 6 now! Off exercising do you think?

katybumpinthenight · 10/10/2007 20:25

given up maybe.it's a shame as it was a really lively thread but i do love the people left, you all make me laugh.just think though,in 6 weeks we will have lost a stone and the people who have left might not .so stick around as it's going to get easier xx

pollywollydooooooooodle · 10/10/2007 20:41

Markstretch You really have my sympathy over the tax credits, i don't know anyone who hasn't had theirs screwed up.....they don't seem to appreciate that they are messing about nwith real money and real lives...anyway don't let the b*st*ds make you fat! at hubby....

katybumpinthenight · 10/10/2007 20:52

spottyshoes · 10/10/2007 21:02

Hulloooooo PollyWD my fellow cappuccino lover! LOL @ dont let the bastards make you fat! That will be my mantra from now on hee hee (oooh wash my mouth out! sorry - i meant to say bstds)
Mmmmm at the maple and pecan danish Sounds like you had a great time shopping, got a few good bargains and think of the calories you burned whilst doing it - like your style

Having already used 2 yesterday.... to SusieCutie - any more tasty recepies to share to get us through the rest of the week?

Not sure if i'll manage the whole stone KB/AKA Mentor but at the moment i'll settle for a half! I really feel i'm putting the effort in but if i dont start losing a few pounds in the next couple of weeks i'm going to have to start blaming it on the breastfeeding! I'm cutting down and exercising, dont know what else to do????

pollywollydooooooooodle · 10/10/2007 21:14

unfortunately i don't use many calories shopping (apart from trying things on and deliberating-all that chin stroking!) I zip around on one of those mobility scooters....one end of merry hell to the other in about a minute ....remembering how long it took to walk, it's one of the few times i appreciate needing a scooter

buktus · 10/10/2007 21:17

Is it too late for me to join, i am 5ft 6, 11.5 stone and want to be back in my sz 12's comfortably

katybumpinthenight · 10/10/2007 21:23

bet you lose a load all at once spottyshoes, don't give up.the stone is just a rough guide so anything is a bonus xx

buktus welcome to the party

do you do the same as me pollywollydoooodle,i pick something up,wander round with it for ages, get to the till then decide i won't wear it and put it back lol .i save myself a fortune

buktus · 10/10/2007 21:26

Why did they invent nescafe cappuchino they are my biggest downfall, when lo is asleep i aim to go on my running machine that is along with trying to box the house up for our move

katybumpinthenight · 10/10/2007 21:32

with you ie the packing buktus.when do you move?

buktus · 10/10/2007 21:33

2 weeks today

spottyshoes · 10/10/2007 21:35

PWD (hope people dont mind if I abbreviate - feeling v lazy!) Dont underestimate the calorific value of chin stroking and trying things on! I often think that planning on leaving the house burns me more calories that actually doing it! but I am a bit of a procrastinator (sp)

Y'see - that is why you're our mentor KB - always looking for the positive

Hi Buktus! Welcome do you feel like naming and shaming the food you've had today or are you starting from now? Good luck. x

katybumpinthenight · 10/10/2007 21:37

i move a week tomorrowbut get the keys on friday.i managed to freecycle a load of stuff over the weekend but still can't believe the amount of crap useful items we have lol.
are you moving far from where you are now?god i'm nosey

spottyshoes · 10/10/2007 21:38

Only 76 cals to buktus and very worth it! can have a few in that case - just dont have them with biscuits!

katybumpinthenight · 10/10/2007 21:42

spottyshoes i have always been a moaner!not by choice it just seems that good things happen to other people.one day i decided i'd had enough of being a grumpy cow and vowed to always try and be positive about things.it hard when life throws crap at you but i've got 3 gorgeous kids and i know alot of people would give anything for that.

thanks for making me feel all warm and fuzzy knowing it's rubbing off on people xx

it's only been about a month of positive thinking but i wake up smiling now xx

katybumpinthenight · 10/10/2007 21:45

my last post made me sound like i swing my norks at dawn whilst chanting positive weight loss mantras to the rising sun

i only do that on bankholidays pmsl

MarkStretch · 10/10/2007 21:47

pmsl at swinging norks

spottyshoes · 10/10/2007 21:51

What a bloody fantastic attitude! I need to adopt your philosophy! I really doooooo try and start the week like it but it seems to become tantrums and hair pulling after a while! But you're right, compared to others we have fantastic lives and healthy kids and that should be all that counts!

Not only are you a losing weight mentor....you're also a life guru!!!
