Hi ladies,

I haven't been around all week, but have been very good - having shapers meals from Boots for lunch everyday and no snacks. Went to leaving drinks at work this afternoon and ignored the nibbles.

But dh has just ordered an Indian takeaway...I've gone for tandoori mixed grill in the hope it will be less calorific than something with a sauce.

Best wishes for the weekend!

spottyshoes · 05/10/2007 19:34

Balls to bloody enlightenment I want chunky chips dunked in huge amounts of garlic dip
sobs

Followed by an 'oldschool' whisper....and possibly a bag of spaceinvader crisps
double sob

We need an emoticon for 'totally bereft at denying ourself lovely fatty foods'

dislexicicecream · 05/10/2007 19:36

katybumpinthenight · 05/10/2007 19:40

tangerine think tandoori is one of the lower cal take aways

spottyshoes what do you want more? chips, choc or crisps? have one of them ,really enjoy it and then work it off later it won't work if you feel really deprived as thats when people give up x

tell me to fawk off if you want, you don't need my permission lol xx

dislexicicecream · 05/10/2007 19:42

spottyshoes · 05/10/2007 19:56

Lol @ wired jaw! Thanks for your support ladies but i'm ok really!
Savouries do it for me much more than choc but whenever I want a sack of pringles i just take a peek at my flabbybellycaesareanoverhang and that soon reminds me that I'm doing the right thing! There's not much better motivation for me than looking in the mirror

Well I think I've just talked myself out of the supper of cheese and crackers (both a grin and a wired jaw that time )

katybumpinthenight · 05/10/2007 19:58

way to go spotty shoes [shaking pom poms emotion lol x]

pollywollydooooooooodle · 05/10/2007 20:25

well have followed the path to lightness [)(] reasonably well all day
brekkie muesli
lunch tuna salad sarnies, pickled onions, grapes

afternoon a digestive biscuit with cappuccino, some more grapes

eve pasta and sauce and a pitta, yoghurt, apple

resisted crumpets and cake and parmesan and all the BOGOF high cal goodies hubby bought home from tescos

but now i am taking a brief detour to the path of lardiness [( )] as dh bought home a chunky kitkat not knowing that i was cutting back...what can a girl do?

ps spottyshoes do you have a recipe for no sugar banana bread?

pollywollydooooooooodle · 05/10/2007 20:27

LOL at wired jaws emoticon

laloupgarou · 05/10/2007 21:15

Hi, hope you're all doing ok this evening.

Ok, here's today's consumption chez lalou...

Breakfast - 2 oranges

Lunch - sandwich on nimble wholemeal bread, scrape of half-fat butter, some grated cheese and light mayo, cup of tea

Dinner - bowl of bacon crisps, glass of wine, might have some toast and fruit for supper (dh is away on rugby trip and I can't be bothered to cook for myself, dcs had dinner ages ago but wasn't hungry then - can't believe my appetite is decreasing so much already!!)

katybumpinthenight · 05/10/2007 21:27

laloupgarou it's working isn't it
well done, bet you see a good weightloss on monday xx

laloupgarou · 05/10/2007 21:31

i love this thread , i feel very proud of it and all the lovely ladies on it

susiecutie · 05/10/2007 21:40

Hi guys

If you are having a curry, the best thing to have is just the tandoori chicken etc... if you have it with veg or just a naan it still better than with rice and naan...

I'm not doing so good really.

bad bad pain, so not eating reguarly. Then Dh rang this afternoon to say he's not home this weekend as has had problem at work to deal with up north. so is staying there tonight to be on site early first thing. I REALLY REALLY needed him home this weekend. need hid help more than anything... well actually just need one of his cuddles more than anything

Feeling really really down so food not good... mum brought me some pasta earlier with tuna and a sprinkle of cheese. just had a piece of toblerone to cheer me up, but it was horrible. so i'm a bit upset now.

Sorry to go on... just feel terribly alone now. miss dh. always here by now on a friday. DD went to bed holdong his t-shirt.

sorry...

oh, am having an apple now. so not so bad.

susiecutie · 05/10/2007 21:42

ust had text t osay he's been called out now so cant even talk before bedtime. god i hat his job. I hate this way we are living at them moment.

maybe i can lose a good few pounds for weh he's home next weekend, hell be SO pleased for ME. he loves my body now and cant see why i dont... bless him.

katybumpinthenight · 05/10/2007 21:43

big hugs susiecutie xxxx
so sorry your dh couldn't come home, could you maybe have a soak in the bath to ease your pain a little xxxxx wish i could help

laloupgarou · 05/10/2007 21:45

Aww susiecutie, hope he's home soon. Look after yourself this weekend x

katybumpinthenight · 05/10/2007 21:53

don't forget we are around if you need someone to listen xxx

susiecutie · 05/10/2007 21:55

thanks both of you. really kind

cant get into bath incase i cant get out! feel so vunerable on my own... anyway... i wont go on... boring to other people.

I am VERY proud that i've not reached for the choccies though, as i usually would have ! erm.. not sure i;d not have if i actually HAD some!! lol

loupgarou... SO odd typing that name, I had a very dear cyber friend who used that name, he died last year. so felt SO odd to see it written again, and even odder to type it!

you are all lovely laydeeees, glad i 'joined' this thread!

so tomorrow, i will try to get up and put on a pot of porridge for me and dd. She loves it! we will then be having beans and toast, as planned today!
note to self
do not finish off her bread and jam for tea anymore...

little tip here laydees...
as soon as your dc finish their tea, if you have a weakness for finishing off the left overs erm... not htat i do...

put washing up liquid on the plate and stick it in the bin straight away! that way you cannot be temted to eat it or fish it out of bin! ( i've never done that myself, but i know those who have... ) old slimming world tip that

katybumpinthenight · 05/10/2007 22:10

keep your chin up susiecutie [or in my case chins lol] keep smiling and thanks for the washing up liquid tip!
another one i heard is to imagine the food cold ie cold chips, when the fat has congeled[sp] is alot less appealing than when they are hot, works for pizza and left over take away curry too

laloupgarou · 05/10/2007 22:16

Hope your back pain eases soon, susiecutie. Sorry to hear about your friend, if it's too weird typing his name you can call me laloop on here (it's my usual posting name).

How old is your dd? I'm at home on my own with dcs this weekend too, dh is away until Sunday.

susiecutie · 05/10/2007 22:44

no its fine actually, to be honest, it makes me think of him, which is nice

My dd is 9 months. she is usually SO good, and seems to really understand that i cant pick her up always, and also that i find it tricky somedays to get down to play with her. Today though, she has been a real monkey. wriggling when i change her nappy, really hurt me at bed time. she always sits so still for me. I just burt into tears and she was mortified! bless her.

just it will be 2 weeks since we saw him when we get to have him home next weekend.. if that makes sense ? seems an age... god i miss him and love him SO much.

starts looking for chocolate

lol

laloupgarou · 05/10/2007 22:49

Here's hoping next week will fly in and before you know it he'll be home...we'll keep you company on here in the meantime!! Btw, step away from the choccie lol.

Think I'm going to head to bed now, speak to y'all tomorrow

pixiella · 05/10/2007 22:50

yeah im up for that - been wanting to lose a stone for soooo long, especially after my m/c i have a bit of a more flabby belly than normal and need to tone up.

im 5'7 and weigh 10 - 10.5 stone depending on time of the month! and I want to be 9.5 or 9 stone in an ideal world!

Also cos i', ttc i want to be slimmer to start off with....if you know what I mean! Also need to get my fitness up to cope with pregnancy.

And tips? I just really need motivation to go to the gym cos now it's dark and cold in the evenings I don't feel like going out in my car to the gym on my own : (

Apart from the gym..any tips on losing weight in your everyday routine?

Good luck everyone!
