wispa mmmmm

halo fell off

pollywollydooooooooodle · 05/10/2007 00:54

at least it fell off for a good reason katybump! I blame the 100 best choccie bars thread

susiecutie · 05/10/2007 01:33

OK, so I'm a bit late in joining.. I do hope it is still ok? I have been trying this week myself and am already getting down about it...

I am 11st 9 and 5ft 5 I think...

I have a 9month dd and am still breast feeding 3 times a day as well as overnight SO no 'diet' as such. I just need to cut out the crap and eat properly! cannot exercise due to v bad back... but do try to walk a little everyday leaning on the pram.

This week for breaky every day I have had:

porridge with dried cranberries, mashed banana and manuka honey ( small tea spoon)

lunch: soup and one piece pitta bread and low fat hummus

Tea: either brown bread with poached egg or small portion of pasta with lots of tuna and drizzle of garlic olive oil. ( v good for you

need to cut down a little on carbs i think. but, still ned them for energy and sustinence with feeding dd.

my biggest prob is eating norty stuff like muffins, doughnuts, cakes, choc etc....

have managed to fill gaps with LOADS and LOADS of water 3litres a day and apples and the odd banana. also rice cakes if till peckish... gotta b better than flakes and chunky kitkats surely??

hope its ok to join in... need motivation

pollywollydooooooooodle · 05/10/2007 01:42

just wanted to say welcome to the katybumpers before i roll off to bed....i think there are other BFing mums on this thread...

ps32 · 05/10/2007 01:54

every time i lose weight, over 6mths, within 2mths, i've put it back on and more. so i've now decieded to never to diet again! and you know what i don't put any more weight on, does anyone know why this is?

mylittlefreya · 05/10/2007 07:19

ps32 - probably because you make unrealistic or unsustainable changes. Slow weight loss is better really for keeping it off, unless you have an iron will.

I'm going to be hopeless the next few days - my mum is here which means a glass of wine in the evening and less exercise (she can't keep up!). I cooked roast beef last night but didn't have too much or pudding... though the glass of wine removed any saintliness really.

Today we are taking her out for afternoon tea - to celebrate the end of her chemotherapy. And since I am going to ruin things, I am going to enjoy it!!!

mylittlefreya · 05/10/2007 07:20

BTW - morning everyone!!!

We are doing good. Some of us are anyway! Hope you all have a good day.

katybumpinthenight · 05/10/2007 07:39

spottyshoes · 05/10/2007 08:49

Woohooo Day 5 - are we all still here?
Welcome susiecutie - i'm bf'ing too and trying desperately not to use it as an excuse for chocolate

Come on girls lets be really really good today and have some extra exercise and step up the effort for the last few days this week!

Today's mission: Need a loaf of bread? Post a letter? pick the kids up? WALK to it.....

waves stolen pompoms like a maniac

(will have to pass them to someone though as i'm going out today )

dinny · 05/10/2007 09:13

Hello, everyone seems v motivated - it's great!

hmmm, had good day yesterday - here's what I had:

linseed bread x 2 with marmite ad scrape butter, one pink grapefruit

lunch - not v good, pkt of quavers and apple

dinner - veg chilli, baked pot, salad

went for a short (20 min) fast run.

seem to not have such an appetite any more.... long may it live!

susiecutie · 05/10/2007 10:14

thinking of having beans on wholemeal toast for lunch.

pollywollydooooooooodle · 05/10/2007 10:29

Hi all,
I would have picked up the pom poms but they had none in my size!

sorry to hear you're not well susiec...beans on taostsounds great...i'm not allowed beans because of the side effects IYKWIM

dinny and spotty and all others you go girrrrls (to b said in shania twains voice..)

plan for day:
muesli for brekkie,
try to avoid the crumpets hubby will eat mid am,
tuna and salad sarnies for lunch with pickled onions and somekind of fruit
(try to avoid cake hubby and dd will eatmid afternoon)
pasta and veg sauce ith pitta tonight
AND
a (small)kitkat tonight(can't wait)

have managed the first and am sure i will manage the last, the rest we'll see....

laloupgarou · 05/10/2007 11:04

Hi everyone, glad we're all sticking at this. Picks up pompoms gives them a quick shake..give me a 'K', give me an 'A','T', 'E', 'B' etc...put it all together Yayyyyyy!!!!!!! That's my pompom turn over, have to go out now

Didn't eat much yesterday - couple of small slices of wholemeal toast with soft cheese (reduced-fat), some sugar snap peas dipped into houmous and a small bowl of noodles. Had no appetite at all yesterday, maybe my stomach is beginning to shrink .

So anyway... because I hadn't wasted many cals on eating properly and healthily as I should have done, I followed the only approprate course of action...and opened a lovely bottle of red wine. Yum yum, hic. Sure there couldn't be that many calories in half a bottle of wine, eh???

Think thin everyone.

MarkStretch · 05/10/2007 12:13

Hello everyone.

Well after my beer/chips incident earlier on in the week I have regained control and last night made a lovely pasta with steamed salmon, green beans, spinach and broccoli.

This morning I had 2 slices of wholemeal toast with an egg and just had lunch of chicken and spinach pitta (I appear to have eaten nearly a whole bag of spinach this week??!?!), a go ahead bar and a bag of snack a jacks. Going to eat a banana and a plum now.

Making sausages for DD and step daughter tonight but as DP won't home wil 7 we will probably eat after they've gone to bed.

Are fajitas ok if I miss out the cheese and a bag of tortilla chips with them???

Back on my bike now off to visit another 2 clients so will have cycled about 7 miles today.

dislexicicecream · 05/10/2007 13:32

hi all
just to let u know i am still hear and with it!
my only real slip up so far this week was eating 2 wispers! ok the 1st one was cos i hadnt seen them in years and the 2nd one was just to see if they still tasted the same ... ok i ate the first one at lightning speed and didnt really taste it lol
anyway other than that i have been good not had as much exersise as most of u sound like u have been doing i have done dvd 1nce (only got it on wed) and have been doing arm weights nearly every night (only 2 lbs weights but its making the diffrence)
other than that just my normal everyday stuff of taking kids to school and coming home about a mile and half round trip( i live at the very top of a huge hill and to get to there school is a big hill and have changed my rute to the more hilly way ,
you all sound like you are doing so well! dont worry to much about little slip ups with food im sure guilt with food makes us hold weight or eat more i have lost weight and then re gained it soooo many times now, i was once toled that the first thing to keeping a good diet after weight loss is to breake the relationship with food, you know? like when we wear kids "if you are good you can have sweets" i still do it to my self as a grown up lol if im good i eat something nice if im sad i eat lol thats ok a little of what u like and all that ...but for me anway then the guilt kicks in ... hard patten to breake,
sorry might not of made scence to anyone my rablings r done now i have it of my mind lol

dislexicicecream · 05/10/2007 13:46
