katybumpinthenight · 03/10/2007 17:15

in moderation thelady much better than ten pints and a large kebab

be back in a bit everyone ,sorting out the kids stuff for freecycle xxx

mylittlefreya · 03/10/2007 17:38

I caved last night after a bad day and had a pernod and (diet) lemonade. And felt loads better, didn't overeat on dinner, and was not too starving in the morning. Ho hum. Am going to try and give up alcohol completely though.

Today - breakfast - toast and honey (I know but I was craving sweetness)
lunch - steak and salad in ciabatta but I do feel the benefit of a main meal at lunchtime as I have not nibbled at all this afternoon, and still feel full, so will just have a light tea. And no alcohol.

Coffee x 2, Diet coke x 2, Water x 3.
Walked 3 miles.

What a bloomin' essay. Sorry!

CountessDracula · 03/10/2007 17:42

NAB3 · 03/10/2007 17:58

Am I too late to join?

What are we doing?

MrsSeanSlater · 03/10/2007 18:01

I have just had a healthyish dinner of tortilla (the Spanish type, not the Mexican version), made with 3 eggs, 3 small potatoes, half an onion, a yellow pepper and some olive oil. Shared between myself and my two boys (5 and 3).
Oh, and a small corn on the cob. That will be it for tonight except for a small drink once the children are in bed.

MrsSeanSlater · 03/10/2007 18:02

We're losing weight, NAB3, any which way we can.

NAB3 · 03/10/2007 18:04

Okay. Will give that a go.

One pound lost last week.

Have eaten with the children today so must find a way not to eat again tonight.

bogmyrtle · 03/10/2007 18:10

Have done much better today.
Breakfast - oops. Didn't have any as was in a rush.
Lunch - Cold meat and salad w/ lemon juice.
Dinner - Fillet steak and broccoli
2 cups decaf coffee w/ soya milk, and lots of water.

Countingthegreyhairs · 03/10/2007 19:22

Another one flying & weight-watching at the same time - there must be a verb for that - too tired to think ...

Thanks to this thread and Rosemary Conley site doing much better this week.

Also helped by dh being away (can eat soup for dinner!) and have over-scheduled work/dd activities so rushing everywhere without fridge-stops/pig-outs in front of telly.

So far this week:

fresh OJ + banana for brkfast
rice & veg for lunch with either cooked chicken or lean ham (except for Wednesday when ate sausages, pots and brocoli with dd)
veg soup for dinner with tiny bit cheese and wholemeal bread
snacking on pears/apples/

Only weighing myself once a week (what are others doing?) so will have to wait until Sunday to see if its had any effect ... .

Is anyone else finding that success depends on frequent visits to the supermarket for healthy stuff (oat cakes, grapes, berries etc???)

katybumpinthenight · 03/10/2007 19:26

welcome nab3 you'll get lot's of help and encouragement here and well done on the pound off xx

Oh no.... I have been bad......... 2 pints and a glass of cava.....oh no......now I'm home and DP is home from work starving and trying to make me go out for chips....... I was so good today! I had chicken and green bean salad and fruit for lunch- hence the alcohol has gone straight to my head!

inamuckingfuddle · 03/10/2007 20:27

having a busy week, but have managed to cut back on nibbles and booze, also having fruit rather than puds, I feel as if I've lost a bit of weight, but didn't actually weigh myself before starting this so I don't know

will have a look now to see how well everyone else is doing to give myself a bit of a push in the right direction!

katybumpinthenight · 03/10/2007 20:28

spottyshoes · 03/10/2007 20:30

Oh you naughty lot with the alcohol talk! It's made me want a glass of wine! I've had a loooong day having had no sleep last night and all i've wanted to do is call a takeaway tonight! Havent though so will treat myself to a small(?) glass once I know ds isnt going to wake up

Brekkie: None

11'ses: None

Lunch: A very welcome Tuna Salad Pitta, with Cuc, Toms, Avocado, peppers on the side. Followed by Plum, Mango, Blackberry & grape fruit platter.
PM T: None as me & Babyshoes slept all afternoon
Dinner: Pasta with pesto, mushrooms, asparagus & pinenuts.
Pud: Caramel Panacotta (a 200 cal one)
Drinks: Water, blackcurrant squash, Pending glass (or 2) of wine.
Exercise: Yum Mums - An hour of kickboxing, steps, lunges, weights and abs work! OUCH and 1 mile power walk to the shops.

I've promised myself i'm not going to stay on the computer all night tonight so i'm off to watch my 3 week Sky + backlog with that glass of wine.
Be good all! xxx

katybumpinthenight · 03/10/2007 20:31

inamuckingfuddle well done on replacing puds with fruit

katybumpinthenight · 03/10/2007 20:32

spottyshoes enjoy your tv and big at all that excercise!!!!

laloupgarou · 03/10/2007 20:38

Day three almost over, yippee!

Today I have had..
Breakfast - coffee, 2 slices wholemeal butter with Lurpak and soft cheese (both lower fat versions)

Lunch - Spaghetti on toast (boring!)

Dinner - mashed potatoes and beans (dh and dcs had sausages too but I didn't)

Snack - 2 malted milk biscuits, sugarsnap peas with houmous

Bit carb-tastic, but I couldn't get out to shops today with ds2 so the fruit bowl needs refilled, just enough left for dd and ds1's break tomorrow.

Exercise - Pump section of Davina's 3x30 DVD

No wine again tonight, trying to abstain until the weekend.

Speak to you all tomorrow, I'm heading to bed soon to catch up on some sleep zzzzzzz

katybumpinthenight · 03/10/2007 20:40

night lalopgarou well done on another day and hope you get some sleep tonight xx

spottyshoes · 03/10/2007 20:40

Thanks! I am pretty proud of myself today as I very nearly didnt go after the night we'd had and it seemed 10x as hard as usual but it will all be worth it in the end!!! Was chanting your think thin mantra all the was through
Really going now....

laloupgarou · 03/10/2007 20:40

Obviously that is wholemeal bread, not wholemeal butter...
