pinkrose · 02/10/2007 21:08

Did 30 ,so unfit in pain now.

MrsSeanSlater · 02/10/2007 21:11

Hey, well done, you did more than me. Just think, you've niw worked off that sneaky piece of pizza.

MrsSeanSlater · 02/10/2007 21:11

Now, not niw.

pollywollydooooooooodle · 02/10/2007 21:12

i see a physio and she's started me on abdominal core stability excercises (among other things) saying that they are more effective than sit ups at flattening your stomach and a lot less effort (have i got your attention there ?....it certainly got mine!)

Am V unfit but i can do them and they work .....i have found that i'm holding myself completely differently...like wearing a corset!

acpwh.org.uk/docs/Fit_for_Life.pdf

sorry don't know how to do a link!

ignore most of it...scroll thru to page 8 for "abdominal hollowing" then further for "pelvic tilt"

you regular excercisers should probably skip this!

pollywollydooooooooodle · 02/10/2007 21:13

thats Fit(lower dash)for(lower dash)Life

pinkrose · 02/10/2007 21:29

dislexicicecream · 03/10/2007 08:34

good morning every one , another bright and happy day (gray and raining)
spottyshoes im a veggi

have decided as part of my self made eating plan im no longer going to eat or have coffee after 5pm, i havent tryed this b4 but looking at my life style i normaly dont eat breakfast (not hungry and no time) then pick what ever is about at lunch time normaly dont have dinner and then once kids r in bed i eat what ever i can find with out cooking and drink loads of coffee lol so i dont think over eating is my issue i think it is when i eat and what, mad thing is i woke up this morning and for the first time in years breakfast was first thing on my mind!

dislexicicecream · 03/10/2007 08:37

katyb it defenitly helps having this thread to come back to, normaly when i go it alone by day 3 i am starting to slip.... so far though i feel on track, thanks.

1crazymumof2 · 03/10/2007 08:40

Morning everybody! i too had a bad night, it always makes it that little bit harder not to snack on rubbish doesnt it . Although i feel really positive i know i'll have problems on saturday as i'm planning my DS1's 3rd birthday party!!! give me strength to stay away from the cake!

spottyshoes · 03/10/2007 08:56

Arrrgghhhh, I'm soooo tired! Ds up from 1am screaming with teeth pain! Cant barely see straight and have the evil slow crunches in an hour .
Off to get a good brekkie in me and face the day, hope it's a quick one
Thinking thin again ladies!

spottyshoes · 03/10/2007 08:58

Oh and should probably confess that I had a small homemade apple bun last night instead of the wholemeal toast But it was low fat and sugar
Have a good day everyone x

laloupgarou · 03/10/2007 09:16

Morning all, barely any sleep again last night. Off to make a pot of very strong coffee now to keep awake.

I'll be stuck indoors again today with croupy ds2. If...and 'tis very big IF...) I find some energy I'll do an exercise DVD this morning, some Tae Bo or a Davina one. Yayyy, there are some fellow runners on here - although have to admit that my running has lapsed quite a bit in the last few months - will hopefully get the motivation to pull on my trainers and hit the road again soon.

Have a good day everyone.

MarkStretch · 03/10/2007 09:19

Morning all!

Sorry to those who have had hard nights with their babies- long distant memory for lucky ol' me who has a 5yr old who does 11 hrs a night!

Just had my breakfast of porridge with banana, blueberries and a pint of water and about to cycle to the market before work and stock up on some more lovely fruit and veg.

Meeting up with colleagues tonight in the pub- normally I would sink a couple of pints- I NEED YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT TO STICK TO MINERAL WATER!!!! HELP!!

katybumpinthenight · 03/10/2007 09:40

dislexicicecream your welcome i feel the same ,lots of support on here for us all x

1crazymum you might feel different on saturday, the cravings tend to go and you might not fancy it anyway.if you do you can always dance it off

spottyshoes apple-fruit and well done on the crunches ouch x

laloupgarou if you manage a little bit of excercise you'll feel better as you'll have done it for you {{{{hugs}}}

markstretch can you not have a spirit and diet coke? still really low in calories but your not depriving yourself,if you do have mineral water drink it through a straw with an umbrella on it and pretend it's a cocktail

slimbyxmas · 03/10/2007 09:50

Morning all, hope we all have a good day, am off to bounce and rhyme, which we unofficially call bump and grind, simply for our amusement.........am sure bump and grind would use up more calories, but can't remember how to ?????
Laloupgarou what is the davina dvd like is it woth buying??

katybumpinthenight · 03/10/2007 10:42

I'VE GOT A NEW HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!

sorry got a bit excited then.after 10 years of waiting for the council to move us out of emergency housing i had enough!i went to their offices last week to be told that as i had somewhere to live they weren't going to do anything.the only way i could get a house instead of my damp flat was to have more children or emigrate and then move back!!!!
so have bitten the bullet and private rented and it's only £20 a week more than where i am now.it's got central heating.gardens.near school and my mum its perfect
going to have an apple to celebrate

laloupgarou · 03/10/2007 10:48

I have both of Davina's DVDs, slimbyxmas - 'Power of 3' and '3x30minute workouts'. Think they're both excellent, except for the times when Davina is wittering on (only joking Davina, love ya really ). Each has a mixture of cardio interval training and toning exercises so if you stick to it then you can really see (and feel!) the results. I also like the way they're broken down into short workouts so you can do the full DVD or just target a section if you're short of time. Plus the two personal trainers show a simple and advanced cersion of most of the moves so it's suitable for beginners as well as regular gym-goers. Watch out for the squats though, very effective - sore legs for days afterwards, ouch!

Nell McAndrew "Maximum Impact" is also very good but needs at least a moderate level of fitness as it's a bit more intense.

Ok, enough waffling on from me...will go and do some exercise now!

laloupgarou · 03/10/2007 10:49

Congratulations, Katybump - great news! Enjoy your celebratory apple

katybumpinthenight · 03/10/2007 10:51
