Welcome to new people!

I have also done about 5 miles on my bike today, not as good as yesterday but about to go and sort out my office which involves lifting lots of heavy boxes and files.

DP said he would get his weights out of the shed and 'sort out my bingo wings'. Thanks, DARLING ahem.

1crazymumof2 · 02/10/2007 12:52

Thankyou, thankyou!
There really is strength in numbers, i've had special k with soya light, for lunch soup, for dinner salmon, with brown pasta and spinach. oh, and i'm going to walk about a mile today, i'm meeting friends in ..........MMMMMcDONAAAAALDS!!!!

MarkStretch · 02/10/2007 12:56

No I visit my clients around the city on my bike. Once again I'm a Support Worker not a prostitute!!!

I'm dreading the really bad weather starting cos I will have to use my car again and won't get the exercise

Thanks katy, what if i ordered an extra value meal for a friend but then ate it, do the calories not count?!

MarkStretch · 02/10/2007 13:02

I'm sure its too early to feel the benefits but I have far more energy today- maybe because I didn't eat so much crap yesterday?

laloupgarou · 02/10/2007 13:49

Hi everyone, welcome to new starts

Struggling a bit here at the moment due to lack of sleep. Have managed to be good so far though Porridge and fruit for breakfast then veggie soup for lunch. Have not caved in to the demon carbs too much, wanted some biscuits but had some wholemeal bread with a scrape of jam instead.

Hope the all of the ill tinies are better soon. Think we're in for another bad night with croup here.

First few days are always the worst for me when trying to lose a few lbs (probably the wine withdrawal). All the best for the rest of the day, think slim...remember the mantra...nothing tastes as good as slim feels.

dislexicicecream · 02/10/2007 14:36

Could I join you ? I have no will power on my own ! Ds was born 12 months ago - and I was 3 stone lighter leaving hospital than I am now !!!! Am I the only person in the world to lose weight whilst I was pregnant (on the day I went into hospital I was half a stone lighter than when I found out I was pregnant !!!) only to put all this weight back on 12 months later. Am appauled.
Although, before pregnancy, I lost 2 stone with Weight watchers, so I know I can do it -I just have a different lifestyle now - which gives me more excuses not to ! Until now that is. (hopeful emoticon !)
I can offer one bit of soup advice (linking to further down the thread) when I was on Weightwatchers, I used to make no point soup (cut up 2 carrots, and an onion. Add water and boil. Once carrots are soft, mash up total contents with a fork - hey presto, a soup. You'll probably need to add some salt tho - tastes pretty bland without it.) The tip though - is not the recipe, it is, to make the soup prior to your meals. Pour a cup full into a mug, and drink it before you make lunch / tea. It's a really easy way to cut down on your portions.

katybump · 02/10/2007 15:53

imagineafullnightsleep thanks for the soup idea,i always thought it had tomatoes in it so thats why i never bothered( i hate tomatoes!) anyway welcome and enjoy the ride,we can't guarantee you'll lose a stone but hope you give it a damn good shot,everyone has made a great start so good luck x{grin}

Hi everyone, thanks for the sympathy and croup advice, much appreciated

I have managed to stay good all day but too tired to cook dinner now, so will either be toast or takeaway for dinner once dcs in bed! Then it'll be an early night, I'm shattered.

spottyshoes · 02/10/2007 19:25

Brekkie: Porridge, raisins & nectarine
11'ses: nothing - resisted cream scone as I knew I would be on here later! [proud emoticon]
Lunch: Bacon (grilled), Brie (healthy living version) & tomato ciabatta melt. Cherry Toms and cuc
PM T: Friend's scrummy chocolate slice (tiny) & little apple
Dinner: Minted Lamb Chops, Aparagus, mini corn & green beans. (was also to have spicy couscous but DH knocked it on the floor )
