So, once again I've started again, drawn lines in the sand, made plans, batched cooked etc (you all know the score!).

I will be slim this year!

Slightly scared of the scales so not willing to weigh until Monday but come and join us to get slender!

All diets and weighing frequencies welcome!

I had TWO big pieces of cake today, I have nothing more to say. ☹️🙁

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 18/08/2020 21:59

I'm in Bridlington quim the weather is pretty decent.

Having a lovely time! Lots of candy floss and ice cream. Doughnuts on the menu tomorrow.

Am probably undoing all the good work but nevermind. Back to work next week so some semblance of normality which will help with my eating and exercise regime.

Struggling but just coping I think 😕

poorpaws · 20/08/2020 21:50

My name is paws, I am a chocoholic and I have sinned ... boy have I sinned!!

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 21/08/2020 06:28

Paws! It's ok, you are only human and life is still very difficult at the moment.

Pick your self up, dust your self down and today is a new day.

You can do this!

Also, my big talk about not going mad on holiday went right out the window!

Back on fast 800 on Sunday. Weight is at a critical level now. Would like to loose 2 stone by Xmas (it was 1.5 stone before this holiday - should be quick to get it off though, I put on the same on my last holiday and had it gone in about 2 weeks)
Might go back to SlimmingWorld meetings to be weighed in public even if I'm doing fast 800.

Red are you back from your holidays? If not when are you due back? I’ve been struggling without your support. We’ve got 10 days left for the August Push, can we really go for it?

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 22/08/2020 07:30

Last day on holiday today paws so in back on it tomorrow. We can do it! 10 days is enough to claw it back in August.

I met someone yesterday who lost weight last year and she looked amazing. From January 2019 to September 2019 she cut food portions/snacks and moved more (no serious exercise just walked more, ran up stairs more etc). She had kept the weight off for a year (she lost probably 1 1/2 to 2 stones). She wore jeans and a thin T-shirt which was tucked in (something I could never do). Her face looked lean and her body looked beautiful. I want to be like that person! If she can do it so can I in theory. She is a lot younger than me and she had been talking about dieting for about 4 years or more to my knowledge then she just did it! I need to just do it.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 23/08/2020 08:50

We can do it @poorpaws

I'm back on it today and enjoying the traditional first day optimism!

Red you should be back now. I hope you had an amazing holiday and are now back to the healthy eating.

2 stones is a lot to lose before Christmas, it’s only 4 months so 16-18 weeks, that’s 2lbs every week (unless my figures are wrong, I’m rubbish at maths). I’d be happy with 1 stone or anything over half a stone to be honest. I’d love to be a healthy weight by Christmas and be able to keep it off.

poorpaws · 23/08/2020 08:53

Ha x-post

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 23/08/2020 09:58

Let's see if we can salvage the rest of 2020 from the complete shit show that it's been so far!

I've got lots of size 12 party outfits for Christmas that I want to get back into again.

How have you got on today paws?

My day has been good. Slight wobble this evening but about to go to bed to stop it getting worse!

poorpaws · 23/08/2020 20:51

I’ve done ok-ish Red. Food not been too bad and this evening I’ve done some paperwork/filing so been sitting for ages.

Just having a bowl of porridge and then an early night.

Got a busy day planned tomorrow. We’re still (it’s been years) doing up the back garden. We’ve got mountains of old rocks and I’m going to drill them into small pieces for drainage behind a wall that’s being built. Should be good exercise I think.

Have a good day tomorrow. Where is everyone else? It’s very quiet.

poorpaws · 24/08/2020 18:59

How have you done today Red?

I didn’t get the drilling exercise done because it’s rained nearly all day and it was far too wet to go outside.

As usual the food in the day, so breakfast and lunch, was good but I’m struggling again tonight. I’ve had dinner and a dessert and I’m still sodding hungry. It might be another early night for me tonight unless my friend FaceTimes me and my mind is taken off food.

I hope you’ve done well today, you sounded positive yesterday.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 24/08/2020 20:39

I went back to work today! Wahoo! It was so good to be back.

Food has been on plan. Yogurt with berries and some passion fruit for pudding.

We had a lovely sunny day here but rain tomorrow. I took my running stuff to work but I was too shattered by the end of a very busy day that I didn't go.

I'm in bed now so I don't eat more!

OP posts:
poorpaws · 24/08/2020 21:01

Just off to bed now Red so I don’t eat anything else! I’ve never had so many early nights.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 25/08/2020 21:02

Yet another night in bed before 9!
I am tired after an extremely busy day at work though.

OP posts:
poorpaws · 25/08/2020 21:36

I’ve just come to bed early too.

I thought I done well today. I made some giant white and milk chocolate oat cookies and of course I didn’t have one, until tonight ...
(I just had half of one but they were very big, damn it).

poorpaws · 25/08/2020 21:37

I thought I’d done well, bloody autocorrect.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 25/08/2020 21:55

Half of one is better than a whole one.

Can I join in?! I've just got back from a 2 week holiday of pastry eating and wine drinking mostly.... I now have to quarantine for 2 weeks so I either knuckle down and use this time to my advantage or I get bigger and bigger. My overall aim is to lose 20 pounds but I'm not bothered about doing this ASAP, I've just been diagnosed with early early menopause at 42 so that has thrown a few extra stumbling blocks at me. My aim is to have made decent progress by the end of the year. I'm going to be counting calories as that's the only thing that works for me, I like the freedom and the structure all at once!
Now I'm going to burn some calories emptying out 4 suitcases of dirty holiday clothes.....

poorpaws · 26/08/2020 18:23

Welcome Fifty it’s a bit quiet on here at the moment but I think it might pick up in September. We are a very friendly, supportive bunch when we’re all about so stick with us.

Red how have you done today? I’ve been ok, had better days but also had a lot worse. I won’t be snacking this evening as I’m food shopping in an hour and by the time I’m back and put the shopping away it will be just about early bedtime. I’m going to buy lots of raspberries as I love them with low fat yogurt so that should be a good snack instead of chocolate or ice cream. 😀
